Taggart McKenna is an elite bodyguard. Skilled, serious, and a little bit mysterious, he's the kind of man who uses words like "surveillance" and "tactical evasion" at barbecues. When the woman he's secretly admired is embroiled in danger, he steps up in an unexpected way.

London a stunning model, bilingual bookworm, and plant enthusiast, is rebounding from a mother-arranged, disastrous love affair. What she craves is a laughter-filled romance, or perhaps, just the laughter, not a murder investigation with her name in the center.

Taggart steps in, offering an unusual a fake-relationship alibi. With London's mother scrutinizing their every move and their pretend romance starting to feel alarmingly real, the stakes rise dramatically. Can they pull off their charade, find the truth and keep their burgeoning feelings in check? All under the watchful eye of a meddling mother?

I absolutely loved this series of books. The author is a genius! The first few books of the series were funny, snarky and laugh out loud as well as being a bit dark. The last two were just darn fantastic with great characters from previous books and absolutely swoony alpha heroes trying to protect the people around them and the women they love. If there were more books in this series, I'd be reading them right now 😀

WOW!! Best series ever!

Loved each and every one of these Lethal in Love books. I’m really hoping that this isn’t the end.
I’ve searched on Amazon to see if there are other books by Susan Amanda Kelly and these are it. Had to believe she is not a seasoned author with a whole slew of books out there.

I love this series

Such a good storyline. Love these characters. Minnie and Mike got me hooked, but each successive book just makes the series even better. The romance, the suspense, the humor and the happily ever after make this the best.

Extremely entertaining

I normally do not leave reviews, but felt this book warranted one. I have not read this author before, so if this is a sample of her writings, she and I are going to become friends. The book had a great beginning, middle and end. Nothing was rushed on the last few pages to tie everything up. Spelling and grammar were spot on, plus everything was cohesive, and by that I mean as an example, if someone is 29 in the beginning they are the same age in the middle and end and not 32. As far as the story went, it was very interesting, and the characters were well written, and you could identify with them. What I am reviewing (rather than the play by play on the storyline) is the fact that this book kept and involved my attention, and I was not bothered by errors that can hinder your enjoyment in reading the story. This says a lot about the professionalism of the author and her team to make her writing smooth for her readers. I especially appreciate it, as I read about a book a day.

Very enjoyable, with some heat, some sweet, and a murder mystery treat.

This book is in the universe of the Lethal in Love series with appearances by several previous characters, but mainly Rocco and Eva. Taggart gets his story, and he is different than I thought. Tough guy all the way, with very few soft edges. His soft edge is London, and she has lots of soft heart to spare for both of them. I like the way SAK does NOT duplicate the personalities of her heroes and heroines. They are different people, different personalities, different life stories. Both characters managed to surprise me. A solid murder mystery runs the engine on this book, and as you read you delve deep into the motivation. Personally, I had the culprit narrowed down to a couple of people among many, many suspects, but the thrilling last chapters make this admirable action-suspense as well.

This book was entertaining and hard to put down, but not quite up to the standard of the other books in the series. It was great to see recurring characters come back, and the author's characterisation is is well done enough that you see multi facets of each character depending on point of view. But this book was missing the magic of the others.

The villain was fairly obvious and I was able to pick it pretty early on. Also Taggart's behaviour was highly sketch and London often came off childlike.

Overall, solid read but not the pinnacle of the series. I'm going to go reread Bend the Rules because that WAS the pinnacle I think.

Another fun book

I love this series. All of the books are exciting, funny, romantic. This one is Taggart and London's story. London is a beautiful model. Taggart is the head bodyguard for Rocco and Eva's children. London's mother arranges for her to go out with a rich man hoping London will be able to get him to donate to her surgical wing at the hospital, and as a plus, hopefully the surgeon she wants London to marry will be jealous. Instead a murder happens and Taggart steps in offering a fake relationship alibi. Lots of red herrings but the true murderer is finally discovered. Read the entire series for the most enjoyment.

Oh, I loved this so much. Watching Taggert and London dance around one another was an absolute delight that kept me giggling like a maniac. I was fascinated to follow along as they tried to solve the murder that was suddenly hanging over their heads. The villain wasn’t a shock to me, but some of the hows and whys certainly were a revelation. My fingers are crossed and I’m fervently praying that the series doesn’t end here. I love these characters too much to let go of them yet.

so so

The relationship London was just too weird, London was a grown woman and he mother was running he love life as well as her life in general. Taggert was supposed to be this great, smart body guard but he missed so many clues it was ridiculous. And London’s mother helped to figure everything out. As I said, just ridiculous and also disappointing!!!

Great Book

I think this was my favorite book in the series. I’m usually good at finding out who the villain is very early in a book but not this time. I hope we get more n this series.

Except for the ending...

Great story and characters! My only issue was the resolution to the murder. Not a clear reason on why the person did it. Seemed kind of lame. Did I miss a something?
