Anyone tattooed with blood ink gains magical abilities - making it the most sought-after substance on the black market. When a large shipment never arrives from the hidden blood ink factory in Crystal Palace, Clive "Greywolf" Collins from the English Gang is sent to investigate.
The factory has been attacked, and according to the few survivors, by a single person only - meaning that the culprit must have blood ink tattoos. Clive came prepared, his body riddled with magical patterns ready to be unleashed, and he suspects the Japanese gang to be behind the attack.
Sniffing out scum like this is his speciality. "Run-run, little prey," - The Greywolf
Christer Lende is a Multi-Award Winning author who began writing in a library, which sounds fitting, only he was supposed to be there working on his engineering degree. He is a professional screenwriter, working with the Norwegian movie producer behind “One Love”, “Who Killed Birgitte” and “All about my Father” Bjørn Eivind Aarskog, together they are eveloping the manuscript for a Norwegian thriller. Bjørn hired Christer after reading The Beast Hunters, trusting Christer could bring his vision to life.
Christer lives in what Norwegians call a city, but people from actual cities would call a town. Of proud Viking blood, he honours his ancestors by heroically sitting in front of a computer writing Fantasy and Science Fiction books. He believes in writing a little bit every day, through weekends, Christmas, New Year’s Eve, even his own birthday. When he’s not writing, he takes care of his two dogs and tries to broker peace with his girlfriend. He’s often found at a gym, trying to compensate for his height issues, or lazily playing video games.
Christer did get that master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, despite procrastinating by writing fiction in the library, and works for a large IT firm, but writing and storytelling are his passions.
30 pages jam-packed full of blood and action. This is the type of action I've been craving for. It's mind boggling that Christer Lende hasn't made this into a series. In so few pages he's made an interesting and thrilling world. Giving off loads of steampunk and werewolf vibes.
I do own The Beast Hunters and I'm moving that up on my TBR. I'm really excited to see where Christer Lende goes with that one.

I read this book sometime ago and loved it. It was the first book I read by Christer Lende but not the last one. I told Christer that I would love to see more of “Bleeding Ink”. The only problem with the book was that it was way too short!
You won’t be disappointed in the book if you think outside of the box! It really makes you think.
Wonderful story with lots more to give!! Great characters and world building leaving readers wanting more of this story. Author LENDE, are you listening?
Greywolf went to the factory but found some unexpected news. Innocent people were being kill for their blood and the factory had items stolen. Knowing he knew who the person was and finding her was intense at what happen. Another great short story.
This short story has so much potential to be a full length novel. ✨
I honestly thought this would become a series for how good the concept was. Even though it’s a short story there was still a betrayal that I didn’t even expect to happen. The writing style!? GREAT ! Plus I wasn’t confused at all even if there’s no proper world building (the world building you usually read on book series) All in all, it was an enjoyable read and this would be my first Christer Lende book. I’m looking forward to read more of his work.

I really liked this short story. It was fun to read, and the idea was very original. Magic blood ink tattoos! 🤯 I think the universe in the story could make a cool book someday. The author made it easy to understand the concept, even with limited space. I didn't feel confused, the writing was clear and kept me hooked. Lots of blood and gore.

A nice short little story. Set in an alternate London, with gang warfare, magical tattoes and a wolf-man hunter, it's full of action and offers a glimpse into a new universe that would be fun to explore more.
I absolutely loved this story! So much so, that I was almost angry when I reached the end and was reminded it's a short story.... Mr. Lender, please please find a way to share more of this story?
