Salem, the book, takes readers on an adventure through the story we all have learned growing up, with a modern twist. How will 3 modern-day adults fare trapped in a time where they would be considered witches and warlocks? Will they survive long enough to make it home?

Snippet
Hitting the ground in the middle of the woods, a shock. Knowing the second prior to this we were standing inside a garage, made it scary. I looked over to Jackson and Rachel, realizing they had a similar look on their faces.

“Are you okay bro?” I asked with a concerned tone. He nodded with a shaken demeanor, his focus shifting to Rachel, patting her down to make sure she was okay.

Once Jackson knew she was alright, his focus returned to me. “What the hell just happened?” he asked, fading panic behind his voice. I shrugged.

“Well, it looks like whatever Grandpa had designed, it actually worked. Now the question is, where did it take us?”

We slowly stood up, turning 360 degrees to survey the area. There wasn’t a person in site, or anything that resembled home, for that matter. That’s when we heard the faint screams in the distance. Moving towards the sounds, trying to understand what we had just accomplished, the screams became more defined and a light appeared.

“Where are we?” Rachel asked, hearing the trembling in her voice. There was a combination of fear and confusion in all three of them. Unsure of what happened, we walked through the wooded area, carrying the device their grandfather had made. “Where is your grandfathers’ garage?”

Then when we saw it. Off in the distance, a woman tied to a wooden pole, the brush at her feet ablaze. Stopping dead in our tracks, we watched as she was burned alive, speechless. Reality was setting in. I glanced down to the machine, and then back to Jackson and Rachel.

Salem. June 11, 1692. The Salem Witch Trials. And three time travelers just stumbled into town.

Great little time travelling adventure

After their Grandfather passes away, Nicolas & Jackson with girlfriend Rachel are in his shed clearing up. They discover a mysterious machine and paperwork talking about time travel. They’re accidentally transported to 1692 Salem where they uncover a startling family secret. It soon becomes clear that travelling here was no accident when they learn that witches are after their time travel machine and face a battle against them before they can go back. However when they get back they discover that some thing has changed with the time line. One of the witches, Victoria, has managed to make it back with them and it leads to a violent showdown. This was a great read, I thoroughly enjoyed it and recommend to anyone who enjoys a good time travel story. The only reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 is I think it would benefit from some editing but that in no way detracts from the great story.
