The book of Exodus is the story of God’s all-encompassing salvation. He delivers the people of Israel from oppression in Egypt to establish them as a community to whom and through whom He would make Himself known.
Over six weeks, we’ll follow the Israelites on their journey out of Egypt, through the Red Sea, and on to Mount Sinai. As they move through unfamiliar surroundings, we’ll see how each setting presents them with different opportunities to depend on God’s provision in new ways. Join us as we explore together what God’s salvation meant for His people then and what it means for us now.

IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING THE FORMAT OF THIS BOOK: This book includes the Exodus reading plan, along with a written introduction and many other helpful elements throughout, many of which are exclusive to this Study Book. Because God’s Word is living and active, we believe the Holy Spirit is faithful to illuminate our minds as we read Scripture. For that reason, devotional responses to each day’s reading can be found on the She Reads truth website and the She Reads Truth app. We invite you to join us there for further commentary and conversation.
She Reads Truth is a worldwide community of women who read God's Word together every day. Founded in 2012, She Reads Truth invites women of all ages to engage Scripture through curated daily reading plans, as well as online conversation led by a vibrant community of contributing writers. This community of “Women in the Word of God every day” represents a long list of cities and countries, a variety of backgrounds and traditions, and countless real-life stories. But there is a commonality that binds us: we believe God's Word is Truth. So we read. Every day we read a new passage together—working our way through books of the Bible, topics that matter, and seasons of the Church calendar. We engage with God's Word and with each other. And we keep coming back, on the hard days and the good days, because God and His Word never change, regardless of our circumstances.
I really enjoy the She Reads Truth studies. The story of God's faithfulness to his people never gets old. My favorites in this series are always the Advent and Lenten studies but each study brings new insights into familiar and not-so-familiar texts.
3/5. Hard to review a Bible study, but thought this Exodus study was solid. Loved Moses childhood, plagues of Egypt, leading the Israelites out of captivity, and God’s presence in the wilderness.
