And then the Twisted series are over. 😮💨 I truly enjoyed reading those books, even though they were a little bit predictable. Twisted Lies was absolutely the best one and Christian Harper is now one of my favourite book boyfriends. 🔥
Ana Huang’s Twisted Lies gives us the ultimate “opposites attract” romance in this series finale, and it delivers on every level! This book might just be my second favorite after Twisted Games because Ana ties everything together so well—each character gets their happy ending, and it’s incredibly satisfying.
Christian Harper is a dangerously charming, morally gray CEO with a bit of a possessive side (just the way we like it), and Stella Alonso, a shy influencer with dreams of becoming a designer, couldn’t be more different from him. But when a threat from Stella’s past surfaces, Christian steps in with a “fake dating” proposition that’s mutually beneficial. Cue the intense, slow-burn romance! The tension was real, and the spice? Absolutely worth the wait.
A major highlight for me was the playful interrogation scene from Stella’s friends—it added such a warm, humorous layer to the story and captured that perfect “found family” vibe. I loved how they teased and pried, showing just how invested they were in her happiness and giving us a more vulnerable look at Christian and Stella.
With tropes like slow burn, fake dating, forced proximity, billionaire romance, and an MMC who’s as dangerous as he is devoted, Twisted Lies will pull you in and keep you hooked. If you’re here for the morally gray hero, solid character development, and all the best romance tropes in one book, don’t sleep on this series!
I think this is probably my favorite of the series. It has a great story including love, action, violence, spice, deception, lies, forgiveness, and a wonderful ending! There is a lot of information in this book and involves all characters from the previous books. It wraps up all of their lives and answers so many lingering questions from the series. This one is the mildest on the spice, in my opinion, and I really enjoyed it.
Dnf. It was a struggle but I kept hoping it would get better. Gave up at chapter 9 when they introduced her best friend, a literal queen. Poorly written overall.
Never felt whole until Christian Harper. At first I was like wtf is up with that painting but omfg when I found out the meaning behind it I was in awe. 🤭 Love this man even though he was a bit of a dick at the start.
Not gonna spoil but I will be sharing my favourite scene😌❤️
“It’s a hot day,” Christian said lazily. “we need to cool you off before we get started. My breath turned into pants when he dragged the ice cube down to my stomach then up again, over and over until it melted against my skin. 🤭🦋
Favourite quotes 🥰
“Are you going to make your husband wait even longer for a kiss?” “Scream for me, sweetheart” “Good girl” “Kiss me” “You don’t need to cover yourself in front of me” “Sometimes I fantasise about finding out I was adopted” “The date is only half done. I’ve yet to grade you on your handholding, cuddling, and sweet nothings skills” “Come here, Stella” “Butterfly” “You Christian Harper, are a softie at heart” “Only for you Butterfly” “Don’t give him any pieces of your soul” “My dream is to be with you and my biggest fear is losing you” “I believe in everything when it comes to you” “You look so beautiful tied up and blindfolded” “I’d rather look at you” “You should’ve never let me kiss you Stella because one taste isn’t fucking enough”
And finally my all time favourite quote 😉
“I’ve never wanted someone more, and I’ve never hated myself more for it”
Three words. Have. My. Babies. 🤰🤰🤰
He calls her butterfly because she’s hard to catch. Only he can make such a corny nickname sound so natural and good. 🫠😌
Ana Huang brings us Twisted Lies, the last book in the Twisted series. It's about Christian Harper, a billionaire with secrets, and Stella Alonso, a social media star looking for love. Their pretend date turns into a real, intense connection filled with chemistry and surprises.
Christian is a hero with a mix of good and bad traits. He's protective and caring but also has a hidden side. Stella is strong and relatable, but sometimes her doubts slow things down. Their love grows slowly, with lots of tension and sweet moments. Christian's care for Stella is especially touching.
Huang's writing is captivating, with sharp conversations and the perfect balance of drama and romance. The suspense adds depth, but sometimes the romance takes center stage. While I enjoyed their story, some parts felt a bit long.
In summary, Twisted Lies is a great end to the series. It has a beautiful romance and a memorable hero. If you enjoy slow-burn romances with a protective alpha and fake-dating, you'll love this book!

I think this book might be my least favorite in the series. It has the least amount of spicy scenes and i don't really relate to Stella. I did enjoy the mix of the other main characters from the other twisted books and enjoyed how at the end we got a nice little wrap-up of where everyone is and what has happened in their life over the next 5 years.
Who knew torture could be so romantic? Haha Not me! I didn't know that about myself . . . cool, cool . . . Stella and Christian are fighting Ava and Alex for the 'Favorite Couple' award in my heart.
Ana Huang . . . you'll never see this, but you are officially my auto-buy author.
Stella and Christian. Wow. They're such an incredible couple. I cried, laughed, and cried some more reading this book. The letters Christian wrote to Stella melted my heart. Makes me think of The Notebook (my favourite romance movie lol). Alex and Ava will always be my number one favourite couple but Stella and Christian are now tied.

This was a wonderful story development between the two characters but also had an element of mystery to it. One of the great things about this author is she creates a playlist at the begining of the book which sets a good tone for the book.
