A disillusioned rock singer. A panicky getaway driver. A blackout drunk coke dealer. A man infatuated with a woman he’s never met. Four New Yorkers, lost souls searching for purpose as their creeping middle-aged lives elapse into nothingness, randomly meet at a rundown hotel in exotic Costa Rica. Before long, they’re pulled into the chaos and sinister doings of the country’s hellish underbelly—a supercharged world of armed robberies, sex and drug trafficking, money laundering, and kidnappings. Walking a perilous moral line between good and evil, they finally find their purpose among men who’d dress in the morning, drink a coffee, and know they’d probably die a horrific death that day—and didn’t care.
