The day I met him, he held a gun to my chest, ready to fulfill his order to kill me. Now he's the only thing keeping me alive...

My mother warned me about men like him. The ruthless and deadly criminals that rule the Mexican underworld.

But I didn’t listen, and now my fate depends on just how ruthless and deadly one of those men can be.

The devil that captured me, has now sworn to protect me and my unborn child.

And the only way he can do that is by taking me deep into the devil's den.

Great short story, tying up the loose end of Sarah who is mentioned in the duet. Could have read a full length story just on these 2!

Would have loved to see an epilogue of when they got back to the states….

A short read with great characters and a solid storyline that offers enough originality to catch and hold a reader's interest from the first page to the last. I loved the chemistry between our characters and the strength of both the H and the h. Very entertaining for a short read and done exceptionally well. Sometimes short novels skip too much or don't always flow well, but the author did an excellent job in setting a steady flow as the suspense built in this novel.

Ms. James has become an author that I look too in this genre. Her stories surrounding the cartels have proven to be very entertaining.
