Raised in a house of abuse and neglect, Marla Petermeier only has two people she can count on, her best friends Stella and Spence. That is until she has a chance encounter with her long-lost brother, who happens to be the VP of the local MC Club, Inferno Wolves. Throwing caution to the wind, Marla takes Stella and her brother to meet her new family, only to have the man who helped raise her sell her out, literally to the Italian Mob. Trying to help save everyone, Stella manages to contact her Uncles, who happen to be members of an elite Special Forces group called the Covert Ops. The Mob just made one deadly mistake. They threatened their family.
Kymber Jones is the Pen Name Kymberlee Jones uses for her adult books, thus allowing Kym Jones to be used for her children's books.
Kymber spent 12 years in the U.S. Navy, getting into more trouble reading and writing than doing her own work. When it became obvious, no one was going to be able to stop her from writing, she was told to make sure she remembered her fellow shipmates when she finally makde it big. Well; she hasn't made it big yet, but she hasn't forgotten those she worked with either! Her shipmates and their experiences will always be a part of who she has become.
Teenagers older than they should be, going through things they shouldn’t have to, all while dealing with others greed & deceit. The horrors of losing one’s parents is bad enough, but these kids have to learn about the shady side of life. The love and determination of one woman to fight until she found her daughter leads her to these teens. Siblings Stella & Spence tie this book in with the upcoming trilogy that the author is working on and I can’t wait to read how they tie in. The teens have a great dynamic. The events read very real to me, as if I can place myself in the room with the characters. One of the characters is triggered during a phone call... this is upsetting but it helps you to understand some of what is going on in her mind during this. Obviously not everyone is sensitive to the same words, so I think you should go in with an open mind. This part definitely made the “momma bear” instinct come out. On a final note, working with the author has been a great pleasure and in no way affects my review.
Wow this book is not for the faint at heart. It deals with issues that are way too real. This is a story about a woman who never gave up hope. She knew her daughter was out there and she was going to find her. It was just a matter of time. She does find her daughter and it is absolutely horrible what this kid has and is going through, but with her new family behind her she's got a chance. Thank heavens Marla has two friends Stella and Spence who are twins and are always there for her because without them she might not be as strong as she is. When the club takes Marcie back into their fold they also grab the two friends and pull them along as well. What transpires next is not what I expected and I certainly didn't expect poor Marcie to be able to handle it all so well. All in all I really enjoyed this book and I really look forward to the upcoming book it leads into called Because of You. Ms. Jones writes so vividly that you feel like you are right there in the middle of the room watching the story play out scene by scene.
Going Through Hell is exactly what the title promises raw, intense, and packed with emotion. Marla’s story grabbed me from page one. Her life of abuse and neglect could easily have broken her, but her quiet strength makes her incredibly easy to root for. I loved the dynamic between her, Stella, and Spence, and how their loyalty becomes the backbone of the book. The twist with her long-lost brother being part of the Inferno Wolves MC was such a satisfying surprise. And once the Mob gets involved, the story shifts from emotional drama to full-on adrenaline. The Covert Ops team was a standout for me protective, dangerous, and family-driven. If you love MC romance blended with found family, action, and deep emotional stakes, this one hits the mark.
It is a very confusing book. I just didn’t know what was happening and couldn’t follow with the story. A better introduction would be a help. This is a novella so the sequel of this story is the ‘real book’. The characters were really confusing. I though the book was about a character but it was about an other one actually. Throughout the story the main character went through a development. That was good to see and read.
This story grabbed me from the very first page. Marla’s journey from pain and betrayal to finding unexpected family was emotional and powerful. The suspense around the Inferno Wolves MC and the Italian Mob kept me hooked, and the loyalty between the characters especially Marla, Stella, and Spence was beautifully written. The Covert Ops twist added the perfect dose of action. A gripping, heartfelt read that I couldn’t put down.

This story grabbed my heart from the start. Marla’s painful past and sudden connection to the Inferno Wolves made for an emotional, action-packed ride. I loved every moment.
A powerful blend of loyalty, danger, and family. The way Marla discovers her brother and steps into a completely new world kept me glued to the pages. Brilliantly written.
The characters felt so real, especially Marla and Stella. Their bond, combined with the intense MC and Mob conflict, made this book unforgettable. Highly recommended.
A gripping story that balances emotional depth with nonstop action. The Inferno Wolves and Covert Ops brought so much intensity. I couldn’t put it down.
