Life just threw me a curveball. I have to find a new place to live, but it must be in-district, because my son has his heart set on riding the bus to his first day of kindergarten.
When my brother’s sexy best friend suggests we move in with him, I have to remind myself the offer was for his spare bedrooms… not his bed.
Graham was my childhood crush and being in proximity with him is bringing back all kinds of feelings I thought were long gone. Looks like this time, he’s experiencing them too.
The problem is, now I have a son to think of. We’ve been through enough, and I can’t risk his heart… or mine.
Graham
My gorgeous new roommate is off limits. Not only is she my best friend’s little sister, she’s a single mom looking for help… not a hookup.
From the moment she’s under my roof, sparks fly, and suddenly the girl I’ve known my whole life becomes the woman I want long term.
I know I should stay away. Addyson deserves better than sneaking around, but she’s afraid to give me more. Plus the little boy she’s trying to protect… he’s already stolen my heart.
To let her get away… let them get away, would be a crying shame.

There was a fabulous surprise waiting for me as soon as I read the contents!! There were 3❗️❗️❗️epilogues in the end!!!! 😱😱😱 The first from the hero’s pov, the second from the heroine’s and the final from the heroine’s son!!!
Graham and Addyson were very likeable characters, as well as Noah, Addyson’s little boy. Ok, Noah was the star!!!!
Addyson was a single mom, who had a crush on Graham in her teens but never told a soul.
Graham was her brother’s best friend who wasn’t into serious relationships and had just broken up with his partner because she wanted more.
As soon as he found out that Addyson and her adorable boy had problems with their apartment, he invited both of them to stay at his house for as long as it was needed.
There was an insta love connection between them, yet it was not convincing from Graham’s part, because he just didn’t do serious. I liked how their relationship developed later. The bond between Graham and Noah was totally amazing!! The scenes between them were the highlight of the story for me.
The 3rd epilogue touched deeply my heart and brought happy tears to my eyes!!!
It was a cute, emotional and steamy single parent and brother’s best friend story, the writing style was eloquent and I enjoyed it a lot.
This isn’t bad. Honestly, I just find it boring and uncomplicated. That’s not really where I like to exist with my reading. My life is as interesting as white bread. I want my books to be the opposite. This book would be good for people who want romance with minimal drama. It’s almost insta-love, is definitely insta-lust, and I’m just not into it. I just got a book haul that I can’t stop looking at. I don’t have an issue with either character. They aren’t memorable but they aren’t detestable. The plot was an extended one-shot. If this book was a 25 page short, I would’ve enjoyed it. The book was too long for the plot to hold up. The most involved was baby-daddy drama. Still not enough to hold the plot up to the length.
The best of these authors' swoony magic with the spicy sizzle of the Rebel Shaw collaboration. It's hard not fall madly in love with this story! The charisma, the swoon, the spice, the fill-your-heart-with-butterflies sweetness!
Our story has such a delicious beginning- handsome brother's best friend comes to the rescue to help his bestie's little sister- a hardworking teacher/single mom who finds herself and her apartment on the wrong end of a disastrously devastating water leak. Now new roommates, they start to see each other in a new light. Graham starts to see his attraction to this sincere and steady woman- her kindness, her sincerity, and her sexiness. And he starts to want a relationship when he's never wanted one before. And while Addyson has always had a crush on her brother's best friend, she gets to affirm what a kind and loving guy he is- how great he is with her son, how giving and protective he is. And that he MIGHT actually be into her to.
This one moves pretty quickly in the romance department (a bit of instalove, though they have known each other for a while) and is definitely more lower drama/high swoon. We have so much amazing chemistry- emotional and physical, and I'm loving the Rebel Shaw spice level and dirty talk. Not to mention, kiddo Noah basically steals every scene he's in- what a cutie.
Heart, humor, loads of heat- yes yes yes. Rebel Shaw is fast becoming my go to for feel-good spice!
Swoon! Such a sweet story. When Graham’s best friend, Adam, gets a call from his sister Addy, they are off to help her. Addy’s apartment is ruined and Graham is there to offer her and her son, Noah, a place to stay.
Great read! So sweet and swoony. Noah is the cutest and loved the epilogues!
This book Y'ALL THIS BOOK! I am so in love with this book! It had everything I love in a good romance book - Age gap, Brother's Best Friend, Single Parent with a cute kid who steals the show! An insta-connection, eye wide open - why haven't I ever seen what was in front of me before - driven storyline!
Graham has never seen a need for a serious relationship. His life is full enough with taking over the family business. He has his friends and family, which seems to be enough for him right now. But then everything changes when he's out with his best friend Adam and finds out Adam's little sister and her son have an emergency, so he tags along to see what he can do to help.
Once they arrive at Addyson's apartment to find her roof has collapsed from a water leak in the apartment above them. Not wanting to put Addyson and her son Noah through any more trauma, he volunteers to have them come and stay at his house while the apartment is fixed.
Addyson has always had a major crush on her brother's best friend. She was always following them around as a child and when she was a teen always had fantasies about dating Graham... But then reality hit and she gave up her childish dreams. But now that she's staying at Graham's house, and as much as she protested, she now finds those childish dreams coming back in a vengeance. The only thing is Graham is opening up to her in ways he never did before. Could her fantasies finally be coming true? Although she's older, she's a mother first and she has to put her son's needs first. How can this work when she's holding so many secrets that she would need to confess to in order to move forward?
The sexual tension between these two is through the roof. These two together were hot hot hot. Noah stole everyone's heart and he was the sweetest and funniest of relief and he just melts your heart.
From the moment these two connect again - it's pure magic.
This book was so good. The only thing that kept it from a 5 star read was how rushed it was in the beginning. I would've liked to see more of the character's sexual tension with each other before they went full on into it. I just needed a bit more build up. I absolutely loved the relationship between Graham and Noah. It made my heart melt. I also really loved how the conflict was resolved through a conversation and not the typical third act break up. The romance in this was soooo good and so cute. I loved every second of it and it had such good spicy scenes.
I absolutely loved Graham and Addy, and Noah's story. I couldn't keep my hands off the book because I was just so captivated by the three of them. I loved every second of reading this book. Graham is everything Addy and Noah need and vice versa. Graham is just the sweetest towards both of them. There's no way Addy and Noah wouldn't fall in love with him and Graham them. I absolutely loved watching Graham with Noah. And that epilogue! That's the best way to end a book. My eyes were not dry reading that. Graham made me swoon! With how he treats them and of course, assures Addy that they're what he wants forever and he absolutely shows them. I highly, highly recommend their story. It's the best!
I got this book as part of my Reveal Box book subscription.
For such a quick read, the story has a lot of spice so if you’re looking for that, this should do.
However, I enjoyed the story of Graham falling in love with not only Addyson, but her son Noah too. It was adorable the way Noah and Graham grew attached to each other and formed a father/son type bond, even if Graham wasn’t really his father.
Also, I liked at the end where we get 3 short epilogues - one from each perspective (Graham, Addyson, & Noah).
I thought overall the characters were relatable - Noah was a totally believable (and adorable!!) 5 year old, Addyson had realistic worries about her relationship and how it would affect her son, and Graham had admirable commitment to the both of them, which was endearing to read.
If you’re looking for spice, this will give it to you. If you’re looking for a cute story about a chance at love and family, this will give that too.
I went into Crying Shame ultimately expecting to love this novel, given the fact that Rebel Shaw is made up of writing duo Kaylee Ryan and Lacey Black. I knew this book would hit me in the heart with all the feels and these two would give me the epic happily ever after I crave. What I wasn’t expecting was to fall head over heels in love with these characters to the point I couldn’t put this one down!! This story line was EVERYTHING!!
In My Own Words:
Crying Shame is a complete standalone written by Rebel Shaw, a writing duo made up of authors Kaylee Ryan and Lacey Black. If you love the single mother trope along with the older brother’s best friend trope, you all are in for a treat!!
Graham is living the life with singledom in mind. He prefers the lifestyle because no attachments means no hearts are broken. So when his current girlfriend is insisting on more between them, Graham cuts the strings and says adios. But fate has other plans when Graham’s best friend, Adam, gets an urgent call from the little sister. Seems there was an issue with her apartment and she needs a crash pad for her and her five year old little boy. Best friends to the rescue!
Addyson is living the single mother life, and given the fact that her five year old son, Noah’s sperm donor is a complete douche canoe, she wouldn’t have it any other way. Only things are about to change up on her, when she walks into her apartment to find it demolished and soaked thanks to a leak on the floor above her, there’s nothing she can do but call her older brother Adam. What she doesn’t expect is for him to come toting the man that starred in all of her teenage and adult fantasy’s, her brothers best friend, Graham.
Now Addyson finds herself packing what little that didn’t get trashed and moving her and her son into Graham’s house, by his recommendation. The chemistry is about to heat up!! Seriously, you all have to read this book!!!
My Thoughts:
It has to be said, this cover is alluring. It was what immediately caught my attention and I knew I needed to read this book. The blurb was the cherry on the sundae. Having read books from both Lacey Black and Kaylee Ryan, and having also read a few of their co-write novels, Crying Shame gave me immediate must read vibes. I’m so happy I listened to my inner voice! Graham and Addyson’s romance was FIRE!
Let’s start with Addyson! This woman was forced into single motherdom after her douche canoe of a boyfriend revealed a devastating secret. And trust me when I say, this man was lower than the gum on the sole of a boot. The few moments he was in this novel, I wanted him out of this novel. So Addy has been living the single mother life for the past five years with her adorable baby boy, Noah. This kid was as cute as a button! But talking about Addy, I loved this characters strength, courage, and compassion. Anything she did, she thought of her son first and how the outcome could possibly affect him. She was careful with his heart where attachments are concerned. She is the epitome of what a mama bear is.
Now onto Graham, I loved the dynamic role this man brought to the novel. He lives the single man lifestyle and then BAM! All things change the moment he invited Addy and Noah into his house. I loved seeing the walls he built around himself slowly fall down. I loved seeing this man slowly fall in love with both Addy and her son. I loved watching him slowly step into the father figure shoes. He was exactly the person Addy needed as a companion, but also who Noah needed as a father. My heart damn near exploded with all the swoon this man brought to the novel. My heart was happy with the outcome, there is no doubt about it.
I saved the best for last. Noah! This kid brought something fun, young, and innocent to this novel. I loved every moment where he was in this novel. The moments between Noah and Addy brought a sense of true love to the novel. There’s nothing like witnessing the love a mother has for her children, and then seeing that love reciprocated really punched at my heartstrings. You’d think that was my favorite moment, but my favorite moment with Noah had to be the times he asked Graham to read him bedtime stories. Such an innocent gesture lead to the perfect setup for a true father/son relationship. I loved watching Graham hand over his heart with each small gesture. Noah is the sweetest kid! I couldn’t get enough.
I gave Crying Shame by Rebel Shaw 5 stars! I rated this one 5 stars because these authors made me feel every single emotion and I loved the fact that there wasn’t a ‘lack of communication’ climax moment. Graham, Addyson, and Noah gave the perfect happily ever after. This novel deserved all the stars!
Overall, there wasn’t a moment in Crying Shame that I didn’t love. My heart was attached from beginning to end, hell it’s still attached to these characters as I sit here and write this review. So if you all are looking for a swoony sweet tale, I highly recommend you pick up Crying Shame by Rebel Shaw!
This is a single parent romance done extremely well. Graham and Addyson have known each other for years as he is her older brother's best friend. She had a crush him for years, but once she got pregnant with her son, she makes the choice that the crush was something she needed to move forward from because not that she was going to be a mom, nothing would ever come from it. Addyson's apartment has flooded, and she needs somewhere to stay and Graham offers her his home. He has been a guy that hasn't wanted to settle down, but as the book progresses, he realizes that it wasn't the want to not settle down but not settle down with the wrong people.
I really enjoyed the way in which Rebel Shaw treat this story... focus was on the relationship with Graham and Addy, but it also focuses on the effect of their relationship on Noah. Noah is front and center in this book, but he doesn't overtake the story. But his relationship with Graham has a good deal of page time because his reactions and place in this family is important. There are so many facets in the way this story places out, but it works extremely well and makes sense.
Another thing that I enjoy about the way in which Black and Ryan treat this book, is the reaction of Adam the best friend. Often times in a sib’s best friend book we get a negative reaction to the news, but not this time and I applaud them for taking this route. IF you have yet to read this duo's pen name stories, you should. You will not be disappointed.
Addyson has crushed on Graham pretty much her entire life, but didn’t think that it would ever really go anywhere or that Graham would even remotely feel the same about her. There is chemistry between them and they have a strong connection thanks to the foundation of friendship that has just naturally formed throughout the years they have known each other.
Noah… How can you not just instantly fall in love with this little boy!? He is so sweet and adorable and just makes your heart melt. I loved the bond that him and Graham formed from the start of this book.
I enjoyed this story, but the pace of Addyson and Graham’s relationship just felt off to me. Things moved quickly between them, but at times it felt forced just because they were under the same roof.
If you’re looking for a brothers best friend, single mom, friends to lovers, forced proximity, age gap check this one out.
Graham and Addyson have known each other almost their whole lives. Graham is her brother's best friend that she always had a crush on. After she had her son she let the unattainable crush go to focus on being a mom to Noah. But when disaster strikes Graham is there to step in and take care of them. Can they become the family she always dreamed of and the one he never knew he wanted.
"A very wise man once said, sometimes families aren't blood, but they love and protect you just the same."
This book definitely had spice, and was a good love story but the real story is the connection between Gram and Noah. If you like or are okay with reading / having the little spice that’s in this book it’s a good read.
Graham and Addyson were amazing! I loved how easily they fell in love. I loved how Graham knew that Addy and Noah were his! It was a beautiful story about love and family! ❤
4.5 stars I love an Instalove every now and again This just hit for me! I loved the characters Loved forced proximity, brothers best friend, single mom Say less 🥵🥵🥵🥵
Crying Shame is a new standalone by Rebel Shaw. It’s their first standalone actually and I am here for it. I loved Royal and this book is just as amazing but with a different feel. It’s more about family.
Graham and Addyson have known each other for most of their lives. Graham is Addyson’s older brother’s best friend and have been best friends since they knew what the word friend meant. And Addyson has had a crush on Graham since she was a teenager. When she got pregnant, she had to let her crush go. She had a little man to take care of and Graham wasn’t exactly a serious relationship kind of guy. He still wasn’t. That was until he saw Addy in a different light. It was like a light switch. One minute he was the protective friend and the next he wanted her like no other woman. It was a total shock to his system and Addy was even more confused…
Did he only want her now since she needed a place to stay after her apartment was flooded? Did he really understand that her and Noah, her five-year-old son were a package deal? Graham was always there for her but this was different. This was everything and Addy didn’t know what to do with that. She could handle her heart being broken but not Noah’s. But damn, the man was easy to fall for especially when she had dreamed about this for years.
I ♥️ Graham and Addyson! They are adorable, sweet, flirty, and hot AF. They just click. I also love Noah, that little man is adorable, smart, and his bond with Graham is goals. Maybe one day we will see these characters again, I can only hope.
Quotes:
“You’re Addyson. Sexy as fuck, a kick-ass mom, a loving sister and daughter, and the woman I can’t stop thinking about.”
“I’ve been dying to kiss you all day,” I whisper, turning us so she’s out of sight in case her son returns. “Yeah? Prove it,” she whispers, her sweet voice all breathy.
“You make it impossible for me not to fall for you.” “I’ll catch you. My arms are wide open. I’ll catch you both.”
After I devoured the first book by this author duo I knew their books would be immediate must reads for me. Sometimes second or third books in a series might not be as great, but I will say that this is NOT the case with this book. WOW. To start I loved the characters. I am a total sucker for a brother's best friend/ best friend's little sister. But when he is also a playboy that doesn’t do strings. SIGN me up! Graham is the local pharmacist that is a total workaholic and avoids relationships. My initial feelings towards Graham were not all that positive because he seemed like a cold emotionally distant guy. But then as he interacted with his friends and family you really got to see the genuine, caring, protective, and loving man that he really truly is. I really appreciated his friendship with Adam. It was very clear from the start that these two had a solid friendship and they were very close. When he didn’t hesitate to jump in and help when Addyson, Adam’s little sister needed help it definitely showed his protective caring side. Addyson, single mom of a sweet little boy, Noah and elementary teacher at the local school finds herself in a pickle with her current living situation, and Graham steps in to help Addyson and her son, Noah. Addyson is just so sweet. She is the perfect elementary teacher with a genuine kindness that pours out of her. She is so selfless, and hasn’t had anyone to take care of her and support her out of affection for her. And for that reason she is so hesitant to believe in the connection and relationship she and Graham have. I totally understood where she is coming from, she is a busy mom working full time and puts her son's needs before her own. Graham and Addyson have spent years together as friends, and even though Addyson may have longed for more it is evident that they know each other. When Graham starts to see Addyson for the woman she is, I was jumping up and down giddy with excitement. But these two were just so mature and thought through things. I LOVE LOVE this. And they put Noah’s needs first. Often in books with children they are forgotten or put on the back burner, but not this book. He was intertwined with this book so extraordinarily well. Graham and Addyson worked on their relationship and allowed it the time it needed to grow and evolve. This book was so full of emotion and so well written I could not put it down. If you are looking for a book full of amazing characters, lots of heart and a beautiful HEA this book is a must read!
Rebel Shaw brings readers a fantastic friends to lovers romance with their newest release, Crying Shame!
When Addyson’s apartment became unlivable after being water damaged, her brother’s best friend, Graham quickly offers up the extra rooms in his house for her and her young son, Noah. Addy’s had a crush on Graham since she was a kid, and living with him only makes her feelings go to the next level, especially the more she sees him interacting with Noah.
Graham doesn’t do commitment and is all about casual, but having Addyson and Noah in his space is doing crazy things to him . . . like wanting to make it permanent. He quickly finds himself all in and needs to find a way to make sure Addyson is on the same page because his heart is already lost to his new roommates.
What follows is a gorgeous romance. It’s sexy. It’s sweet. It’s all about family, even if it isn’t by blood. I adored every page. The authors’ storytelling, especially around Graham and Noah’s evolving relationship will give readers all the feels. I also loved that Graham seemed to know exactly what Addy needed . . . when to push, when to give in, when to pamper, and when to simply love on her and Noah and to let her take the lead as she came to realize she finally had a partner who wanted them both. 5 stars!
Crying Shame by Rebel Shaw is an Age gap, Brother's Best Friend, Single Parent, insta-connection Romance. There is a friends to lovers vibe for this book as both Graham and Addyson have a friendly relationship with each other. I really enjoyed this story. There was such a thoughtfulness and care to this relationship. I also liked that as a single parent romance Graham put an effort to connect Noah. This book had some major chemistry. This was a strong draw between both of them. The pacing of the story was really good, and I liked the care in which they addressed the struggles of dating while being a single parent. My frustration really came with Addyson’s character. THe relationship did progress quickly but she put the breaks on almost every chance she got, worried about how her choices affected her child. The character had not had a lot of luck in the love department and maybe some more background would have helped me with this part of the relationship. I just felt like her reasoning to be overly cautious was a missing. The 3rd act drama did not help fill in the missing pieces in my opinion.
I did enjoy this read and I am loving all the things coming out of Rebel Shaw and can not wait for their next release!
Wow! I was so enthralled from the very beginning that I read this book in just a few short hours and couldn't put it down for very long before I was picking it back up again to keep reading it to see what happened next.
Graham is so sweet and the way he treats Addy and Noah is so cute! He forms a special bond with Noah and this relationship makes up a significant part of the book as he falls in love not only with Addy but with her son Noah as well. The chemistry and banter between Addy and Graham is absolutely perfect.
I love reading a book where the H is steadfast in his feelings and pursuit of the h and Graham did it so well. He knew he wanted Addy and Noah forever and he was relentless in making sure they knew he wanted them to be a family.
Addy had been hurt in the past and has spent many years trying to protect herself. Graham comes in and ensures she feels protected and loved. He becomes the perfect person for her and helps her realize that sometimes the right person can make all the difference.
This book wraps up with a couple sweet epilogues that tie it all together nicely.
This is the second book by Rebel Shaw which is the alter ego of writing duo Kaylee Ryan and Lacey Black and I can't wait for the next book by this duo.
Crying Shame is the second book from the AMAZING Kaylee Ryan and Lacey Black writing duo...and let me just say that it does NOT disappoint! These two ladies have "spiced up" their game and I am here for it! Graham and Addyson are FIRE!!! This older brother's best friend, age gap (it's not a huge one, just enough to make it interesting!), single-Mom romance also brings ALL the feels!
Graham Morgan and Addyson Sinclair have known each other for most of their lives. Addyson has crushed on Graham for most of that time but, Graham was completely oblivious to how his best friends' little sister felt...until an incident with a water leak causes Addy's apartment to be unlivable and he offers to have her and her precocious son Noah stay with him while her apartment is being renovated! Things start to heat up...and Graham FINALLY opens his eyes to what has been in front of him for years, even though he's not the "settling down" kind of man!
This love story is one that will have you laughing out loud, fanning yourself from the intense heat and chemistry between Graham and Addy, wanting to give Noah a hug at his cute antics and falling in love with them all! From the first page to the last, this one is completely captivating and un-put-downable! Now I need MORE!!! *hint hint*
This is a romance between brother's best friend, Graham and his besties younger sister, Addyson who is a single mom to her young five-year-old, Noah.
There is an age gap and a very sexy story about the ultimate bachelor finding his heart. It was an awesome story and I loved absolutely everything about it.
In this story Addyson ends up without a home and her brothers best friend offers her and her son a place to stay. Graham is newly single, his casual girlfriend has just broken up with him because she wanted more, and he is not interested. But as soon as he realizes Addy needs help, he is totally there.
This is a story about finding your one. Addyson and Noah just feel right to Graham, and I loved that part of the story and watching Graham lose his heart to these two.
The brother best friend forbidden relationship really wasn't a huge deal in this story, but it was more about the bachelor finding that it's not always about being single but rather finding your special person.
There is some ex-drama, and I really loved that aspect of the story. It kept my interest throughout the story, and I fell hard for Graham and Addyson and of course, Noah.
I received a complimentary early release e-book prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Having read this duo’s work before i couldn’t wait for more from them! As soon as i found out about this book i instantly started looking forward to it! I picked it up and right into this story. I enjoyed it so much!
Addyson and Graham’s journey captured my attention! These two have been in each other’s lives for quite some time because Graham is best friend’s with Addyson’s brother. As Graham offers her and her a son a place to stay, the chemistry between them becomes harder and harder to ignore. Are their feelings worth the risk? I couldn’t wait to find out!
I really liked getting to see these two be brought closer together. I didn’t know how everything would play out. I enjoyed seeing these two tackle things especially when it came to living together as well as their hearts. I adored the moments between Addyson and her son, Noah. Graham had me falling. From their undeniable attraction to the feels they brought, i enjoyed these two and their story so much!
I loved the whole brother’s best friend aspect of this story as well!
With Crying Shame, The Rebel Shaw duo have created such a good read with heart and heat! I can’t wait for more from this duo!
*I volunteered to read and review a copy of this book from Give Me Books Promotions / the authors*
This sweet romance has some of the best tropes - older brother’s best friend, single mom with an adorable kid, and a dose of forced proximity. Let’s not forget about the life-long bachelor who only does casual relationships.
When water damage leaves Addyson looking for a temporary place to stay, her brother’s best friend offers to let Addy and her son move in with him. Addy pushes aside her secret crush to keep things convenient for her son. The moment they move in, Addy isn’t the only one with a crush. Almost immediately Graham notices Addy, a beautiful and sexy woman.
This book was full of sweet and adorable moments. Graham and Noah, Addy’s son, have such a special bond. Graham is caring, genuine, and protective. The reformed bachelor and workaholic puts Noah and Addy’s needs before anything else. I loved the way he understood Addy’s need to be independent and cautious. He was patient and gave her the support and space she needed.
This story is steamy and romantic but it’s also about family. There is a perfect balance of angst to keep the story moving forward and support both character’s growth.
OMG! The bonus epilogue may have caused my eyes to water - but only just a little.
This is the perfect for a spicy, feel-good single mom romance with all the feels. It’s and easy read, one I devoured and read it in one day.
Is there anything better than a reformed commitment-phobe? If you're not sure, I guarantee this book will change your mind. Because Graham will leave you wanting more. He is THE definition of what a good man is. He was a great friend, wanted to help Addy out in her time of need, and what was more important he wanted to talk to her brother the second they realized they have romantic feelings for each other. He was all in with her and her adorable little man and would do just about anything for them. Addyson has had to protect her heart for a long time. Ever since she became a single mother, she knows she needs to put her needs to the side in order to be a good mom to her son. But Graham is making it impossible to have her wall up. Each day they spend together, the more she feels for him. They really make a great family, because a wise man aka Graham said: "Sometimes families aren't blood, but they love and protect you just the same!"
This is book 2 for this author due and i'm already a HUGE fan! I can't wait to see what's gonna happen next!

I’ve been reading Lacey Black’s books since she released her first one, and I’ve loved them all. I’ve also really enjoyed her collaborations with Kaylee Ryan, so it was a no-brainer that I’d be reading their work under their new Rebel Shaw pen name. This author duo is just so well matched. Seamless and smooth writing, full of witty humor and heart-string pulling emotion yield fantastic romances centered around some charming, endearing characters.
Addyson is a single mom to her adorable five year old son, Noah, and she’s in a pinch. In steps her older brother’s best friend, Graham, with the perfect solution—if it wasn’t for the crush Addyson has had on him since she was a teenager. The attraction between Graham and Addyson literally leapt off the page—they were absolutely on fire. But there was a deep connection there as well, and I loved watching Graham fall so hard and fast for both Addyson and Noah.
I love single parent romances, and Crying Shame by Rebel Shaw delivered a flirty, fiery and full of feels. Five smooches from me for Crying Shame by Rebel Shaw! ~Danielle Palumbo
This is one of those romance files with zero angst, zero drama, and sweet characters. It's obvious that the author is familiar with 5-year-olds because she nailed that age group so well. Noah talked, behaved, and expressed himself like a normal-typical 5 yo and that's refreshing. Usually, authors write kids are either too old or too young for their written age. G was a love them and quiet them kind of guy. He just wasn't interested in commitment- he was a serial monogamist. Then he finally opened his eyes and really saw Addy-- purple di!dos will do that to you. This book has good vanilla scenes. G teases Addy about aπ@l and using her di!do but we don't see it. I'm ok with that and what we do see is steamy. I actually teared up at the end.
👌🏾 The epilogue was well done. 👌🏾 vanilla steam was just right 👎🏾 Addy created drama where there was none and it was the only drama in the book. I loved how we kept seeing the ex-girlfriend's reaction to the various stages of their relationship. I hate when authors build up these side characters and then drop them. 👎🏾length of the novel was a tad bit long. It could have been shorter.
OMG! This book, what an amazing story, I couldn't put it down! You will fall in love and swoon for Graham, adore Addy, and Noah will just capture your heart! 5 amazing stars for this one! Addy and her son come home and their apartment is flooded, planning to stay at her parent's house, when her brother Adam and his best friend Graham arrive, Graham insists they come stay at his home, he has plenty of room. Only problem is Addy has crushed on him since she was young, but she can keep her feelings in check! Graham, having just let go of his friends with benefits girl, can't believe he asked Addy and her son Noah to move in with him, even though it's temporary, he's used to being alone. As the days go by he rather enjoys having them around, and his feelings for Addy are becoming more and more evident. Should make this temporary living situation very interesting to say the least! All I can say is this is a must read! I loved it, devoured it, you definitely don't want to miss out on it! These two authors separate are amazing, but together they are off the charts!! Grab it asap!
This story completely hooked me from the beginning. From the single mother story line, to the adorable to little boy, to the ultra swoony hero who not only swept the leading lady off her feet, but also let her be independent when needed, this book had everything.
Addyson is a teacher and a mom to a five year old amazing little boy. When there is an issue at her apartment and she can no longer stay there, her brother's best friend offers for them to stay with him. Graham and Noah form a bond quickly and their relationship is truly the highlight of this story.
Graham and Addyson had truly explosive chemistry. I appreciated that they had a good foundation of friendship before their relationship progressed further, and it was nice to see how important it was for Addyson to put Noah's needs first. I really liked the family aspect to this story and absolutely loved the epilogue in relation to Noah. This story touched at each and every one of my heartstrings, and I would highly recommend it.
