With Ransom in Thanatos’s hands, the worst has happened. The god of death has everything he needs to break the shadow curse and loose the starving fangers on the innocents of Azar.
I can’t let that happen. The serviles grow more restless, raiding the borders, and the vampire queen is powerless against them. Now, it’s a race against the clock to free Ransom and prevent an all-out war. Without my fated mate at my side, I can barely breathe, let alone lead the sicari.
I have to find the strength because there’s nothing I won’t do to get Ransom back. He promised me forever, and I’m holding him to it. Even if it means taking down the mother fangin’ god of death.
*** This is an upper YA/NA crossover with schmexy, sinful vampires and is best suited for ages 17+. Be warned this is a slow burn enemies-to-lovers romance, and the steaminess factor does increase through the course of the series! ♥
*** Vampish is set within the world of Azar, along with (in reading order) Hitched, Darkblood Academy, Royally Hitched, Darkblood Prison, and Wolfish but it's not necessary to read the other series first to enjoy this one.
G.K. De Rosa has been an avid reader from a very young age. In fact, before she could even read, she tried fooling everyone into thinking that she could. At the precocious age of two, while living in Italy, she had memorized an entire children’s book in Italian and expertly turned the pages at the exact right moments of the story. As she grew up, she always enjoyed literature, no doubt having been instilled with a love of story telling from her early years in Catholic school where she was greatly influenced by exemplary teachers who taught her the value of English and Literature. Though she did not pursue writing in college and instead went for the more traditional route of International Business inspired by her love for travel and all things foreign, after a move to New York City, she found her creative writing side calling once again. She began writing a restaurant review blog, City Lights and Tasty Bites, detailing her other passion – food! The hectic hustle and bustle of the city, combined with long commuting times gave her the opportunity to spend more time reading and rekindled a lost love. After reading countless books in many diverse genres over the two years in New York City, and returning to her home state of Florida, she felt compelled to write something for herself. She had always felt particularly drawn to Young Adult novels and having been an eternal romantic at heart, a fantasy romance was a natural choice. She currently lives in South Florida with her real life Prince Charming and their fur baby, Nico the German Shepherd.
OMG this final book in this series is incredible! It’s been one hell of a ride for our characters, fast paced, exciting, suspenseful and I will have to say this had me in tears in some places and laughing out loud in others. BUT the author does an amazing job giving us answers to all of our questions and tying up all loose ends although I am sad to see it end. ( or has it??? 🤔)
The final book in the series picks up with Ransom being a prisoner of Death after he gets Nix and Azara free from Death by his actions and takes their place.
There is a lot of excitement ahead as this story continues to unfold with a question left up to the readers imagination as to who this mysterious girl is who Death is after as well. Things take a dramatic turn when Ransom and Nix are finally reunited and things get more clouded as Ransom is forced to accept a position he doesn’t want. There is a battle brewing and it’ll take a unified effort from all the supernaturals to control Death and return him to where he belongs. Some final surprises await our pair at the end of the story which shows what can happen if two people are blessed by a goddess as Nix and Ransom are!
I wholeheartedly recommend this series to all who love paranormal romance, adventure, intrigue and exciting scenes that will keep you turning the pages just as fast as you can! You must get this entire series or else you’ll never know the dynamics between Nix and Ransom and what drove her to become a royal scarai in the first place and the love/hate relationship between them!
GK’s series are chock full of intense emotional feelings and interpersonal conflicts which are easy to understand even if we don’t have that supernatural aspect in our lives. They read just what so many of us experience in our search for our “other half”.
You will enjoy this series and I urge you to get another full series from GK when you’re finished with this one! You’ll read about the lives of some of the characters mentioned in this book as you get to know them on their own and what they went through to get to where they are today in this book.
Reading GK’s books are so fulfilling to a reader! With an action story and plot you’re going to love and hold your interest! It’s so much more enjoyable than sitting in front of the box to watch what they think is entertainment nowadays. Instead of your mind being dulled by inane garbage, it is caught up in a story that you are sure to love!
I urge you to get this series and see if you don’t become another one of the legion of fans who can’t get enough of GK’s books and series! You’ll be glad you did believe me!
Oh my Vampires!!! This is book 4 in the Vampish series! Ransom and Red are on fire… This is one series you don’t want to miss. From the first page you will be hooked and turning the pages as fast as you can. You won’t want to put the book or kindle down. Ransom and Red story comes to a close and they have so much going on. You see some of the past series favorites like Luna, Ryder, Talon, Azara, Hunter, Sierra, and so many more awesome characters. There is something brewing and the are on a race to beat Death. Get ready for one heck of a rollercoaster ride. This author will have you laughing, crying, and almost ready to throw your kindle. I say almost because you won’t want it going to far. So many emotions, suspense, action, and so much more. Can’t wait to see what comes next from this author.
Omg think my heart jumped out my chest what a truly epic rollercoaster journey ransom and red have had, the last battle with the god of death had me on the edge of my seat, at one point I was crying with red I mean come one these guys have been through so much together don't they deserve a happy ending ? I loved every book in this series but this has to be my favourite another fantastic series by g.k
Phoenix and Ranson face down Thanatos along with their friends in the conclusion to the series. Lots of twists and turns and fee surprises. A few unanswered questions were left, but I'm sure the author will answer in some way in future series. Ransom has been a favorite and glad he finally git his HEA. Overall a great series with a good conclusion. I volunteered to read this book via Booksprout.
This is the last book in the series Vampish and GK DeRosa did not disappoint. Of course this means this is not a stand alone. You will most definitely not understand the story without the first 3 books in the series. You do not need to read all the other fabulous books in the world of Azar to enjoy Vampish but I would always recommend them as they give you some amazing detailed insight.
Book 3 ended on one of the biggest cliff hangers I have ever experienced and I have to say I wasn't happy that I had to wait for Book 4 but thankfully GK DeRosa writes fairly quickly so I managed. With that said Blood Mate had an advantage of a chilling start and this heat and chill kept you on the edge of your seat throughout this entire book.
The characters of Nix and Ransom have found a special place in my heart and all I want for them is to be able to enjoy each other but having to fight Thanatos, the God of Death, means time for each other has to wait. Ransom has grown even more in this book as his character is showing sites to himself that appeal to every female. A man that throws his life down to a woman's feet for her to feel superior, a man that want's nothing in life but the woman's pleasure in all things, a man that makes everything look easy whilst looking like the most delicious male specimen wandering this earth. And then you have Nix, Red, which ever one you prefer. A woman with an attitude big enough to carry a whale but a heart that will swallow an entire village if that means she can help each and every one of those soles living right there.
All in all this book does not disappoint and I don't think I could have predicted the outcome in the way it is presented in the story. Not only deserves it the 5 stars but I will also give it a chef's kiss. GK de Rosa I cannot wait were the next adventure will take us. Sign me up because I will be there with a smile on my face and earbuds to ignore the world around myself.
Well I have done it after yet another night with not much sleep. I have followed Nix and Ransom to the end of their journey, and boy what a journey that was. They have been to hell and back literally. Their relationship has been on and off more times than Katie Perry and Orlando Bloom and they have fought so many battles I am surprised they survived - but did they? Four fabulous books, really well written right from the first page of the first book I was hooked. I have become such a fan girl of G.K. DeRosa (at 64!) I am looking for all the other books by her that I have missed. Every character in these books is well described, you feel you get to know them all, the good bits and the bad. They become friends or enemies as the case may be and they don't just suddenly disappear without explanation, which is something I hate. If they leave or die you know why and it is vital to the plot this happens. The story holds itself well through all 4 books too, there is no weak spots, or repeated paragraphs just to fill it out. You find yourself thrown from one battle to the next, then hoping to solve whatever dilemma they have got themselves into, rooting for them to overcome the next obstacle to their love. If you like your vampires hot, then Ransom is the one for you although Lucifer comes a close second. There are shifters, angels, fae and re-animated skeleton armies, Gods and Goddesses. So if this is your bag then these are your books, don't hesitate just get them and read them
Reading this book was a bit bittersweet I was equally excited to see how it ended but also dreaded it being the end. There have been a lot of books in the Azar world but I definitely think Nix and Ransom have been my favorite couple and story ❤ who doesn't love a good enemies to lovers story? But I loved the vulnerability of Ransom throughout this book, as you'd know if you read wolfish becoming a vampire was not his choice so he struggles a lot with losing his wolf and being a slave to the bloodlust. Nix took a while to realize not all vampires are the same and actually see Ransom for who he really is under the front he uses to hide his feelings but they got there in the end.
Just when they get rid of one enemy another takes his place and when Ransom Sacrificed himself for Red in the last book he did so to protect her but after finally admitting her feelings she refuses to let go of him now but getting him back won't be easy. Even once the curse is broken their battle is far from over because Thanatos has other plans and freeing his children of the night was only the beginning. In the end Nix will have to make the ultimate sacrifice using her Luna gift against the one person she can't live without but when the time comes will she be able to be selfless to save everyone or will she chose her heart ❤
>I am an independent reviewer. This book is the 4th and last book of the Vampish series and ends in an HEA. Ransom really steps up to the plate and sacrifices himself for Phoenix multiple times. The plot lines are tied up nicely after a bunch of serious battles. The mating of Ransom and Phoenix was the best! They are no longer afraid, and their love is wonderful to see. The new bad guy, Thanatos, is the god of death. His agenda is a shade of grey. Once the curse is broken, life is better for the vampires. Thanatos also wants the vamps to take over everything, which is not good. There is a new plot line introduced that will be continued in the author’s new series coming in the fall.
> This book is appropriate for an adult audience. I am giving this book 4 stars. So much was made of Ransom being able to father children that I really wanted to see a child for Ransom and Phoenix.
A visit from the Goddess, done fighting and anxious for Ransom’s return makes Nix accept she plans to completing the mate bond (get it over with?) though she has hoops to jump through and a high-priced bargain to make for the information about the realm Thanatos took Ransom to hide. The Scoobies cobble together a plan to cripple Thanatos’ resources.
The foreshadowed shifts in power occur with the Council declining to lend an assist against Thanatos. Now loose with his sight fixed on a goal known only to him, Thanatos has little desire to bargain leaving the Scoobies and uncompelled vamps at a loss how to discern, curtail or cajole Thanatos’ plan from anyone.
This busy outing, to my taste, finally began to imprint its own identity (instead of borrowing so heavily from its sister series) as pieces arranged for a satisfactory finale and series spinoff (or continuation in a totally different direction). Rating: 3.75stars
I'm so impressed with how Ransom has grown in this final book. He's taken on more responsibility, but he hasn't lost his fun-loving, protective, and selfless nature. And Phoenix just keeps getting stronger!
The final showdown with the villain took me by surprise, I was anticipating a different resolution given the title 'Vampish'. I had assumed Phoenix would make the ultimate sacrifice and become a Vampire!
Nonetheless, I thoroughly enjoyed the adventure and I can't wait to delve deeper into Attie and Thanatos' stories next. I'm certain Luna will make an appearance too, shedding light on how it all began. I'm also hoping to read about the first born and Lucifer as the Godfather🤞.
Another thing is that it's awesome to see the old characters come together to defeat the villain, and I hope this concept carries over to the next series! The mention of Flare in the plot just as I was thinking about him has me curious about the twin sisters. Any news on them?
We left off with a HUGE cliff hanger in book 3, and then book 4 picks up and continues the story.
I get used to thinking about character a certain way, and then it suddenly changes and it's not what I was expecting at all. G.K. DeRosa manages to do that with every book I've read by her, and this particular one was no exception! Everything starts out feeling all crazy and complicated (or so you think), and then before you know if you're in another web of twists and turns.
I've thoroughly come to love the world of Azar and each character's story. I also love that you see them or hear of them through other series that take place in the same world. I want to know, what happens with Lucifer's deal?! I can't wait to read the next installment in the world of Azar.
This was everything I wanted in the conclusion to Ransom and Phoenix’s story! Finally, FINALLY they complete the mate bond, but still have trials and tribulations to overcome to make it to their HEA. There were definitely some surprises, not to mention Lucifer’s intentions are always suspect. I found myself really annoyed with the goddess Luna, who gave just the barest hint of information but not nearly enough. I thought the set up for Thanatos and Attie’s story was well done, and I’m excited to find out more about their past!
But mostly, I’m just so so happy about Phoenix and Ransom. And Aah!!! The ending is everything I wanted.
Okay, so I have to say this is a great ending to this book. It doesnt end with how you might think it will. It is a HEA (as with all of GK's Azar books so far),but it pulls you through the ringer and makes you feel ALL OF THE EMOTIONS. Anywho, what is a GK book without some cameos? WE GOT 'EM!! Won't say who because trust me it's more than one person, but its engaging, you wont want to put it down, and all in all Ransom is a truly unique character that I once hated, but he developed into a beautiful butterfly from that weird caterpillar he was in Wolfish. It was a great way to see Ransom get his life together and Nix finally establishing one not made on revenge. This book is one of the meanings of Power Couple, but also shows everyone has ups and downs even the "Wolf With the Mortal Bite" All in All, this book is worth it and if you're finishing this series and havent read the other ones you may be in for some long reading hours to know just how special this book is for every GK fan. Also, I just want a Sera book. Just putting it out there. Loved the book, Loved the series, onto the next one!! AZAR!!.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is the final book of the series and if you are into PNR stories that include plenty action, intrigue, steam and romance, then you will definitely enjoy this series. My reason for giving it only 3 stars is that even though ir is pretty entertaining and well written, the dialogue was somewhat juvenile at times, which for me, took away from this book/series.
So this was the end of the series and what an end it was. It dragged me through the ringer but I loved every second of it. I think Ransom is my favourite character of G.K. DeRosa’s. He’s just got everything, hopelessly devoted, a misunderstood bad guy-—which I will admit is the type of guy I have a major weak spot for, full of cheeky banter and charm. Yep, it’s gonna be hard to find a better guy to knock him of that top spot for me.
Talk about an emotionally gripping series conclusion. Not just this book, but the entire series has been an amazing read. I love the overall storyline, the depth to the characters, the detailed world building. I was constantly on the edge of my seat with the action scenes during this true enemies to lovers shifter romance featuring vampires, wolves, fated mates, impossible choices, sacrifices, and so much more. Loved every moment of it.
This is a fantastic conclusion to a wonderful series. Ransom and Phoenix have to defeat Thanatos in order to have a chance themselves. Action packed, full of surprises, twists and turns in the plot. This one is a real page turner. I loved that a few questions don't seem to be answered, it gives me hope for more fron this world. Great read
What an epic conclusion to this journey. This Author did not disappoint as with the previous books in the series there is the perfect mix of action, suspense, magic, supernatural creatures & steam - I did not want to put this book down. I highly recommend this series and look forward to seeing what this Auhtor writes next.
This is a great read filled with danger, suspense, sacrifice, and a HEA. To receive the full benefit of this series, it should be read in order. Questions are mostly answered, and any unresolved will most likely be addressed in upcoming books.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
As always G.K. DeRosa knocks it out of the park with her series. I love all of her Azar series and cannot pick a favorite since they are all special in some way or another. Love that she brings in past characters to help solve problems. Highly recommend and Ramson and Nix's chemistry was the chief's kiss!
Loved this series it was so good. All the novels set in the world of Azar have been amazing, GK DeRosa is a very talented writer, she has become my favourite supernatural author for sure her books never disappoint. Im so glad Red and Ransom got their HEA, they definitely deserved it. Highly reccomend reading this series, you won't be disappointed.
What a roller coaster. I can't believe everything that happened in this book. It was interesting & addicting. I had to keep reading to find out what was going to happen. DeRosa has a way of writing books that is rare. She includes action, adventure, magic, fighting, love & coming together in many ways I did not see.
A great ending for this series! Ransom is still being held hostage and Nix knows he's being tortured. She's going after him with help from some friends and a few unexpected ones. I hope to hear more from them in a spinoff. I received this book from Booksprout and voluntarily reviewed it.
I have read every book in GK DeRosa collections. I loved all of them. If like paranormal her books are great. Can't wait for the next book. they have everything from supence, romance, action and funny stuff too. Thank you G.K.
What more can be said about this wonderful serie? Definetely, we will miss Nix and Ramson, the sobriety of the former contrasting the witty sense of the latter. Besides, the author surprises us all along the narrative with turnouts and suspenses that grip the readers emotionally speaking. Love it🥰
I thought this book was going to be a quick ending but it had some pleasant turns which made this book fantastic! I love this author and the world of Azar! I was left wondering about the relationship between Luna and Thanatos and who is Attie???
