One for misery. Two for despair. Three for the nightmare inside my head. Four for the demons sleeping in my bed...
A woman like me has no soul to save. I’m the shell of a corpse, my insides rotted and warped.
This life I’ve lived has been a mess of sorrow and secrets. It’s led to days spent pretending I’m normal and nights trying to find myself in a murky past I struggle to remember.
Little did I know, I never belonged amongst those with a conscience.
I’ve been marked by primeval sovereignty.
The monster in my closet and the apparitions watching me from darkened corners are no longer toeing the line between insanity and reality.
They're ready to claim what's theirs.
They want me to know how skin tastes when it’s between the teeth. They want my body painted in blood, feeling pleasures I’ve never known.
I’m their relic with dead eyes and insatiable lust.
And once I give in to them, my demons will set me free and lay the world at my feet.

I’m not even kidding, I think this was the scariest and thrilling book that I have read by Natalie Bennett who’s also now known as Rae Royal. And I’ve read quite a few of her books!
I’ve read the prequel Bells of Demonio so I was so excited to continue Angeline and Bellatrix story. These two twins and their friends decided to go to a village that had a festival going on for Halloween. Seven days of Sins. A little MDMA chocolate and three gorgeous guys, Angel had a night of pleasure and … weirdness.
The thing is, these twins can’t remember anything before the 10th birthday. They have weird eyes and hair. And Angel has had these nightmares… and the three men that she just was having sex with all night? She feels like she knows them… And they marked her…
“My soul was no longer my own, divided in three and sealed with a promise carved into my skin— imprinted upon with a language evil in ancient.”
So most of the stuff happens to the twin Angeline. However it’s clear that the three guys are demons. And they have made comments that they are ready to take them back “home.”
I seriously cannot wait to see where this author takes the story. It does leave off on a cliffhanger somewhat with one of the twins being taken. But Angel is turning into something far too sinister… “They were going to drive me back to hell and ensure I became what I was meant to be, an incarnation of sin that belonged unequivocally to them.”
Please check the trigger warnings. There is cannibalism and a shit ton of gore. Very descriptive gore. The kind that made me close my eyes from fucking reading. 😂

“Normal is an illusion. What is normal for the spider is chaos for the fly.” Morticia Addams
This book was interesting and unputdownable read. Was some of it gross and made me want to vomit 🤢 umm yes. I’m more concerned right now about the whereabouts of Angel’s sister Trixie is and who/what took her.
“It was the possibility of darkness that made the day seem so bright.” Stephen King
For Angeline Nightmares are real Everything she once believed is a lie And nowhere is safe
This was a wild journey - if you read the prequel this starts with that and moves forward We get to know what really happened that night We get to see behind the masks I cringed, I turned away for a moment to compose myself - immediately returning because I just had to know A heart-stopping stomach-wrenching crimson drenched start to the series This ends on a to be continued
For those who enjoy their horror with a flare of the supernatural Doused with spine-twisting scenes of crimson Peppered in indulgences of the flesh Rounded out with all kinds of WTh moments This is for you
I literally went on Amazon, searched reverse harem horror and got click happy. So went into this one blind. It wasn't until the first page that I guessed what I was in for. Starts off as a typical horror movie opening, a group whittled down and bumps in the night. I did like Malachi, Damian and Nico. The number of characters at the beginning got confusing. There was a bigger picture mystery with the twins running around spooked and didn't get sorted, and a now missing twin. Blood, gore, cannibalism, which didn't bother me. What did bother me was the rape attempt at the hotel. Glad those guys got taken apart. I'd read the second book.
FMC - Angel Guys - Malachi, Damian, Nico Bad guy - They are the bad guys or some creepy church of devotion.

Bride of Demonio is the first book and prequel to the Kings of Terror series. Let me tell you, it started with a huge bang. This had such a American Horror Story feel to it. It was a quick and easy read, but freaking amazing!! It was absolutely perfection for my dark heart! Can't wait for more!
Bride of Demonio by @authornataliebennett ARC review
I just want to say that I am completely OBSESSED with everything that Natalie writes! It is always so dark and twisted and I can't get enough of it.
This book is so dark and twisted and I can't wait for the next one because it is everything. Please check TW before reading this book.
This book follows Angeline and Bellatrix, they are twins but they look different. One with black and white hair and the other hair as black as a raven. Angel and Bellatrix and their friends arep planning their annual trip they always plan. This time they are going somewhere different to celebrate the seven days of sin.
What Angeline doesn't expect is to be drawn to these 3 men. She ends up being shared and marked by these three men. After that things start to take an unexpected turn and go downhill. They go to this manor that is in the woods and end up being chased by demons and their friends start to get picked off one by one.
Angel starts to feel different and notice things are changing within her and her body. She doesn't understand what is happening to her but knows she is changing. The spicy scenes between Angel and her men are so hot!! I can't wait for the next book to read the guys POVs.
I love how dark and twisted her books are. I am ready to dive into the dark book two.
I’m not going to say much of anything on this book because you just have to experience it.
But this book?! It had me in its demonic clutches from beginning to gory, sensual end. This shit was fantastic. From writing, world building, sorry telling, plot, and characters, this book was amazing.
I loved it so much, can’t you tell? Haha.
Twin sisters with pasts they can’t remember, but have certain abilities that mortals don’t *winks*. Three demon brothers (👀) who is making sure they get their bride back in their unorthodox, bloody ways… which twin is the bride? You’ll have to read for yourself.
This being a debut book under her pen name, Mae Royal, it was bloody five fucken stars for me.
Ohhh I'm already hooked on this new series. There are unique set of twins, Bellatrix and Angel. It mainly focused on Angel. They attend the Seven Days of Sin festival with their friends. Its fun and horror filled. Local legend said to never enter the woods. But who really listens? This book was a real page turner. If you love things that go bump in the night, this is the book for you. “You’ve been touched by morality and gotten soft on me.” “We’re going to have to fuck and kill every ounce of purity out of you, Angel.” O.M.G yes!!!! They are all monsters and have no shame. I can’t wait for Angelous to find herself. Bring on the blood bath!

This is just a prequel to an upcoming series and it really set the tone. It was a super fun introduction and I really liked a lot of the themes that it brought up. I’m really excited to see how these themes will be discussed and handled in later books in the series because this story definitely had a lot of super promising elements i’d love to read more of.
I received an arc of this book and this is my honest opinion
Such a great start to a series. It's a dark intense RH that is the start of something wonderfully twisted. Kings of Terror is a fitting name for the series; there's some serious creepy vibes too. It's a fast gripping read that completely sucked me into the story and I devoured it in one sitting.
After that ending, the next book can't get here fast enough. If you want something gripping and bloody then this is definitely for you.
I can always count on this author to come through with the dark and twisted and oh boy does she deliver! Brides Of Demonio is a dark reverse harem horror romance story it’s centering on twin sisters but it’s mostly involving one of the twins and three very sexy men heed your trigger warnings!!! This was a twisted dark gory and steamy ride I can’t wait for more!
i had to dnf it cause 1. it was slowing me down 2. it was confusing and needed me to think more than i wanted to 3. i feel like there was easter eggs everywhere and i couldn’t think to recognize cause once again, too much thinking
OMG Did This Hit The Definitely Dark And Dangerous List!! Loved It!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Review
Another absolutely dark and dangerously phenomenal book by Natalie Bennett writing as Mae Royale. And OMG did she hit the creep meter spot on with this one and I absolutely love it. I seriously can’t wait to read the full length series to this prequel. I absolutely love Natalie/ Mae’s writing style she always leaves us feeling darkly satisfied yet torn between loving and hating the men she creates for her dark unaliving romance stories.
This is Angel and Trix’s discovery story and when I say it’s not for the faint of heart please know I truly mean it. They don’t remember their past except from when they were in a home where they left. So when they go on a trip with some friends and dare to enter a manor that’s deep in the woods and off limits their friends meet tragic ends and things begin to change especially for Angel. Angel meets three devilishly handsome men at a party and they mark her as theirs literally and she starts to feel things from their marks when things start to happen around her and her sister.
This story is definitely one you will have to read to get the full understanding of just how these girls lives are turned upside down and put through the wringer after one visit to an old haunted manor. If you like your demon men psycho, dangerous, dark, lurking and stalking in the shadows, and who get a thrill out of causing chaos, havoc and unaliving then yep this is right up your ally. If you enjoy FMC’s who are strong and not easy to run off or not afraid to put up a fight then again definitely for you. This ends on a tragic cliffy that leads us up to the next full length book in series and I highly recommend checking TW if you have any. Can’t wait to find out what happens next for Angel and what happened to Trix and everything else in their new world. If you are familiar with Natalie then you know it’s going to be dark and delicious!!! Highly recommend this as I do any of her books and now books by Mae Royal her new alter ego.
Wow! I loved this from start to finish, anyone who knows me knows I love horror and all things scary and this book is no exception. I've always loved Natalie Bennett's books and here she has written under a pseudonym Mae Royal. This is typical Natalie......blood, guts, sex, scares and plenty of them.
Bride of Demonio follows Bellatrix and Angeline's story, who are twins so when they and a bunch of friends decide to go somewhere for Halloween and enjoy themselves...some drugs and sex with three guys later and yeah safe to Angeline enjoyed herself very much so but when their friends start getting picked off one by one and being killed in gruesome ways, Bella and Angel must find their way out of the woods and back home.
These two can't remember a single thing of their childhood, all they know is that they look strange ( as in they have strange hair and eye colours ) Angel has been having some disturbing nightmares, she feels she already knows these three dudes she just had sex with. She definitely has a connection with these guys but how and why? What do they mean to her? Are her nightmares real or not? Why can't they remember anything before they were 10 years old?
Urgh honestly if you love horror or blood and the like then you'll love Natalie Bennett and her books. I can't wait to read the next book Queen of Demonio and see what becomes of Angel and her three men. Also there is as always with Natalie and that's triggers please read the TW and bare in mind this book isn't for the faint hearted so if blood, gore, guts, rough sex, reverse harem and cannibalism aren't your thing then yeah best not read this book. Hands down Nat has knocked it out the ball park yet again with this one and I can wait to see what happens next.
I really loved reading Bride of Demonio so much that I would give it a higher rating if it was available to do so. Mae Royal did an amazing job of describing her characters and what they were feeling that it felt like you were right there along with them.
Bride of Demonio is about two twins Angeline and Bellatrix along with their best friends. Every year they all go on vacations together to different far out, creepy, and Halloween type places. This year they went to a village that was known for its occultist origins, that’s linked to the devil, and sometimes referred to as Festival of the Dead. The village capital is called Seraphim that’s a super secluded place. The village had a week long event called Seven Days of Sin festival, where they learn about a folk tale about a manor in the woods that they decide to explore.
During the Seven Days of Sin festival, the twins discovered a lot about themselves, especially Angeline who has always felt like she had some kind darkness within herself. A lot of scary and demonic things including cannibalism happen in this book. I promise you will not regret reading this book. I can’t wait until the second book is available called Queen of Demonio.
Mae Royal is definitely my favorite author of dark romance.
It’s never to early for a deliciously twisted & deadly tale centered around a Halloween Festival called Seven Days of Sin…….. Bellatrix & Angeline are twin sisters that can’t remember much of their childhood. These women have very interesting features such as two different colored eyes and Angel has the perfect half black half white hair that’s completely natural. Their friends that have come along for the festival haven’t idea how truly odd they are. While enjoying the many days of sin they hear of a urban legend about a house in the woods and all of them have made the decision not Togo looking for it….. Well Angel gets the attention of three local brothers Nico, Malachi and Damian and somehow all of them end up in the woods looking for the house of the urban legend and that’s when the Bells of Demonio can be heard. I’m definitely left wanting more after this hauntingly dark and sinister story. Death, destruction and some mayhem maybe with some hot sex thrown in too. These sisters definitely have some secrets and some connections but will they figure it out while attending this festival? This is only the beginning. Mae Royal has definitely got me hooked with these characters and I’m wanting more and can’t wait for more.
This was the scariest shit I’ve read ever!!!!! That’s a great thing. I’ve never had an author paint a visual so vivid that I was quaking on my couch. I wish I had known so I could have read this Halloween night. I’m so torn between being righteously freaked and thoroughly turned on by three possessive hot guys. It ended on a hanger of course so I’m anxiously awaiting the next book. I will say that their group of friends are the dumb people we talk about in horror movies so I saw that shit coming. I don’t know what to think about Tyson and I’m so intrigued by his character. I’m also curious as to these other demons; why do they keep attacking them? Why isn’t trixie turning? Is it just Angel who is the bride? Ughhhhhhhhhhh so many questions but in a way that guarantees I will read the next book!
Sooooooooooo many triggers🚨🚨🚨 Cannibalism Non con Dub con Unaliving Occult/ satanic and demonic references…. I mean duh look at the title( but this isn’t cute demon stuff, this is the shit of nightmares) Group sex
Spice level is probably 6/10…. There were two very hot scenes but this book is def plot driven ie. The girls finding out who they are
Darkness level is 10/10… this book is DARK! Satanism, gore, absolute horror

I absolutely devoured this story! So much so that I don’t want to wait for Queen of Demonio 😭
The story follows twins Angeline and Bellatrix and their friends who go to Demonio and join the Seven Days of Sins festival. The group learn of a folk tale about the manor in the woods and the woods surrounding it and decide to explore, of course things don’t go to plan and what started as 6 entering the forest ends with 3 coming back.
Angeline and Bellatrix intrigued me , the secrets of their childhood I’m itching to uncover. They know something isn’t right and things have been kept from them and as they delve deeper into their origins what will they uncover.
Of course any book with 3 hot demons get my immediate attention. Malachi -𝔐𝔦𝔰𝔢𝔯𝔶. 𝔐𝔞𝔡𝔫𝔢𝔰𝔰. Damien -𝔇𝔢𝔰𝔱𝔯𝔲𝔠𝔱𝔦𝔬𝔫. 𝔇𝔢𝔰𝔭𝔞𝔦𝔯. Nico-𝔑𝔬𝔠𝔱𝔲𝔯𝔫𝔢. 𝔑𝔦𝔤𝔥𝔱𝔪𝔞𝔯𝔢𝔰. The scenes between these 3 and Angel were seriously hot.
The imagery set, the horror elements of the story, the ominous feelings you’re left with , the dread. This story makes for an excellent read for fans of horror with spice. The story is dark and there are TW so do check them before reading the story.
The twins have always felt they have some awareness of things beyond the present world. The vacation for Demonio just makes that more clear. Especially when the infamous bells are rung in a deep dark forest while their close friends are taken away by demons and slaughtered.
Frightened by the experience they run home with the single friend left alive in their group. But nothing is as it was. Yes life was never normal but it's become even stranger for Angeline. She had an encounter with three men that she feels she knows. They did twisted and dark things in the night. She brings home their markings. Bellatrix is not as affected but they are twins. She knows what her sister is going through. She sees it. Hears it. They are chased from their home and running for safety that might not exist.
When the three mysterious men catch up to them Angeline will finally be who she has always been. Which means Bellatrix......
Wow, this book is phenomenally dark, twisted, gory and steamy in all the right ways. I was so excited for this story and let me tell you Mae Royal does NOT disappoint. Twins Angel and Bellatrix don’t know anything about their past but know that something dark has always haunted them. They are their friends go on trips together every year and this year they decided to go to a seven days of sin festival now well into the trip enjoying all it has to offer. They go to haunted houses and hear all about the local legends and then they go to the bar and get their drink on the 3 hot guys they met at the restaurant earlier find them. Angel has a unforgettable night and the next day they are going on a another trip. Little did they know they should have never entered the woods. The bells will get them. This story does end on a evil cliffhanger, but I have a feeling the next book will be well worth it. This story is now among my top favorites, keep them coming.
Dark, spooky, and terrific! Another fantastic story from this one-of-a-kind author with her unique characters and heart stopping storytelling. I might have nightmares after finishing this novella with horrific creatures and horrible acts of depravity. I loved the mystery at the beginning with a group of friends looking for a new adventure. It soon turns deadly and the twin sisters find something disturbing about their past. Angel and Twix are fearless as they discover their past, deal with their twisted present and glimpse their future. Lucky Angel's includes three hot demons that turn her world upside down while leading her into a sizzling hot romance. This is a quick read with tons of horror and a sexy reverse harem with otherworldly characters. I love this author's dark stories and this is a terrific start to a new series that bound to be thrilling, frightening and sexy. I look forward to the next installment. Loved this one!
Natalie Bennett added the pen name of Mae Royal & the books are even more creepy, hell, I'll call it a spade a spade, scary. I'm dark, and I love my books dark, but Bride of Demonio is the first book of hers that took the dark into a very terrifying turn, and thankfully, I didn't read it before bed LOL! Maybe it's because actual demons of the paranormal variety are present as the RH love interests, and demons are scary to me for whatever reason. Our heroine, Angeline, is part of a set with Bellatrix, and she's got some unexplained things going on in her life. Yeah, the dark & twisty is definitely at new levels, and I'm fully invested in the horror of it all. There's more to come as this story ends on a cliffhanger, and even if the next book were to come out in five minutes, it would still have taken to long so the wait will be torturous. Please understand there are major triggers so make sure you're aware of them before going in! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Hi Friends, let me tell you about this book I just read. This is the first PNR horror novel released by Natalie Bennett’s pen name Mae Royal. This story surrounds intriguing and hauntingly beautiful twin sisters Bellatrix and Angeline. As they embark on a trip to a remote village to celebrate “7 Day of Sin”, making this story a perfect read leading up to spooky season. The story is told exclusively from Angeline’s point of view zeroing in on her experiences, throughout the story.

Mae had me at “Demon”io and held tight until the last page, making me itch for the second book in this series. There is so much question and intrigue surrounding twin sisters Bellatrix and Angeline and their origin, I am really hoping for more in book two. Mae has really set the stage with her first book, this story is so vividly visual that it quite literally could be a movie, and I wish it was ♥︎
Debut book for Mae Royal is 100% TOP NOTCH!! 100% success rate me. I finished this book in like 3 hours. It's fast and kind of like a prequel but lordyyy it's so spicy and perfect for being so short. It's so action packed and not one stale moment. I was immediately raptured too starting it. N.B is the Queen of Dark. I love her stories for real. I'm so excited for the journey she's beginning of Mae Royal because she is truly my favorite author! Plus I'm super happy to be on the street team. Dreams do come true. It's bloody, action packed, mysterious, funny, and just keeps me anxious and excited for what's to come!! Next Year is toooo far away because I need the next book 5 min ago. Straight up beautifully written and amazing imagination, just like a movie too! So smoothly told.
This book was super dark and deals with demons. Angel and her sister Bellatrix go to Demonio and face trauma and tragedy while they are there. No all of them return and Angel and her sister face off with many demonic entities when they return to their home. However, Angel feels a little drawn to all the dark things that are happening even though she knows that she shouldn't. She and her sister keep trying to figure out what is happening and why do they keep getting spared. This book was super dark, exciting, and left me wondering what was going to happen next. Can't wait to get to the next book! I received a review copy of this story from the author and am leaving a voluntary honest review.
This book was hella interesting and not like something I’ve read before. I was pretty invested in finding out exactly what Angel is and what the three guys are that seem to be stalking her since going to a festival.
After attending a festival with her twin sister and their four best friends only three return after something gruesome happened, when they went somewhere they weren’t meant to go!!
Even though this book held me from beginning to end I’ve given it 3.5 stars because of the editing, there were some words missing or words in the wrong order it did pull me out of the story a little at times. I’m excited to read book 2 and see what exactly is going to happen.
