Fast pace opening, with lots of twists and turns as the book progresses.
Harper has been through a lot and decides to leave England for a quieter life in Italy.
After losing her husband several years earlier, she decides she’s ready to see what’s out there.
She meets Aton and their relationship picks up, the first year of their relationship is very face paced, and there are good steamy scenes. 🌶️🌶️
They’ve been together for a year, living in their blissful Italian bubble, when Aton is called to England for work and later, Harper travels to England for family commitments. They meet in England and this where the story really starts.
The books if filled with love, doubt, affection, saboteurs, family drama and heart.
It's a good book and will keep you intrigued to what will happen next 😍…and there’s a cheeky little lead up for Book 2.

Harper is trying to heal her heart after her husband's death, and decides leaving England is for the best. She meets Anton and a whirlwind romance begins. He swore against everything Harper stirs in him, but maybe his never again may finally change.
I was a little iffy on this book. The beginning was pretty slow and it took a few chapters to really get into it. But the story is sweet and really focuses on life after love (insert Cher joke here). The writing was well done and the flow of the story made sense.
The steam was more on the dull side, and didn't feel like a big factor in this romance. This was definitely a more romantic emotional story rather than a romantic steamy story.

This book was written by V L Peters
A women trying to heal after the death of her husband. Soon finds love, and a whirlwind of drama!
I'll be honest, at first it starts of slow but I kept reading. I soon discovered the beginning of the book actually gives you the background of how Harper's life was before and how she opens herself up again for love.
I'm so glad I kept reading this book, there are twists and turns that I just wanted to keep reading. I didn't want to put the book down. Yes, I may have stayed up later to keep reading. 🤣

Normally I don’t read any books that have any sort of cheating in them at all. It just turns my stomach. Even when one of the characters gets cheated on outside of their current relationship it just hurts my heart. I took a chance on this author and the story even knowing how I feel about cheating. It’s like my only trigger… I absolutely love this book!
10 out of 10 definitely would read again (& do recommend) even with the emotional roller coaster that I went through. The spice was great, loved the characters and even though my heart broke a couple times in the book, I absolutely loved it! I cannot wait to read Gracie‘s story next year.

Fast Paced with Lots of Action
I really enjoyed the characters and the story! There was a great deal of action and the supporting characters drew interest. I found the overall book to be a bit disjointed and almost seemed like it was various vignettes put together. I also was a bit frustrated because the author did not elaborate on the interactions of some important scenes but then we learned about them during the characters' recall of the moment. There are also quite a few editing issues towards the latter part of the book.

This is one of the first books I have read by this author. Lots of fast paced story line. Lots of backstories for the people around the main two characters. Seems the main female character is dealing with another woman who is activity wanting to kill her. Hard to take as that person is her cousin. We also find another person from Anton's past is also trying to kill her. I find that this is hard to take as I wonder how this man attracts these women who are not rowing a boat with both oars?
So much intrigue and stories that sometimes you can get lost in the story about the motivations of crazy women.

Omg I loved this book it was a emotional book to think of everything harper went though to find love again for someone to try and take it away and yhe twist and turns trying to figure out who was after her. I love anton the way he loved her uncontrollably and would do anything for her I would really recommend you this book you would regret it

surprisingly good
First book that I have read by this author and it was an exceptionally good read!!!!!!
Harper, can’t seem to get a peaceful life
Anton, can’t believe his eye when he sees Harper

Harper's husband passed away and she decides to move. This is when she meets Anton and their romantic relationship begins. This story has some twist and turns, but I liked them all. Definitively a good read.

Good read
The story was NOT what I thought it would be. Lots of drama with a LOT of crazy women! The writing was good, but I did not like the layout of the pages. You had to pay close attention, or get lost and have to re-read portions.

This book has a lot of twists and turns and unexpected events! Harper and Anton’s story is complicated but full of powerful tension and magnetic attraction. Their love puts everyone and everything at risk, but mostly their hearts. Will they come out on the other side? Only diving in will tell you.
