What’s the big deal about a few dates between friends?
Here’s the thing — Mack has been Chase’s best friend for half her life, and they’ve always been platonic with a capital P. He’s also her business partner, and without question the best person she’s ever met. And Chase? She’s a self confessed disaster; she works too much, considers curly fries a food group, and might have an unhealthy dependency on iced coffee and whiskey. Then there’s her relationship history, which leans more towards tragic backstory than happily ever after.
An unexpected kiss turns their friendship—and Chase’s world—on its head. She’s pretty sure crossing that particular line was a mistake, but saying no to Mack has never been easy. So when he asks for one date, to show her what they could be, Chase agrees. She tells herself, and him, that it will only be one. One date and they go back to friends and pretend the whole unfortunate incident never happened. She won’t be agreeing to a second, or a third and definitely not five.
Because five dates with your best friend can only be a bad idea… right?
Unfortunately, I could not get through this book and did not finish it. Which is disappointing when I was really looking forward to reading it. My issue, which is not an issue for other readers, was the language. For me when a book is filled with language (swearing) it takes me completely out of the story and I can really struggle at times to get back into it. That was the case with this story.
The use of language in books really takes an author's writing down a notch (or multiple) for me. I expect more from authors whose lives are filled by words. I expect them to be more classy, crisp, put together. Language completely unravels that in my reading experience. With that being said I could tell the story was going to go a few directions that I wasn't comfortable reading as well. While this isn't the case for all readers, I did want to put this out there for any readers who are like me and prefer a cleaner read, in more aspects than one.
*I received a complimentary copy from the publishers, publicists, and/or authors. A review was not required, and all opinions are my own.
an overall fun read, however i felt at times that there were certain plots that weren't all that necessary. i also HATED HATED HATEDDD the third act conflict and felt the resolution was just so quick it fell flat. the epilogue was fun–confusing, but fun yes, but i also hate how it ends with girl proposing... least fave trope ever lol
Mack and Chase have been BFFs since forever, and now co-own a bar together. They Kissed once long ago and chose to ignore it. Present day Mack and Chase kissed yet again and Mack chooses not to ignore their attraction anymore.
😊What i liked -
✔ Friends to Lovers/Rom-Com. ✔ Wow another Male character who has some major skills in the kitchen. ✔ I liked the chemistry between the main characters. ✔ It's an easy read. There is Drama, friendship, love and slow burn spice. ✔ My absolute favourite was Harley. She was a hoot.
🤔What could have been better -
✔ According to me Chase could have been a little less whiny. (totally my opinion) ✔ The story fell a little flat for me.

P.s - This book may have fallen a little short for me but that doesn't mean it will for you. The book has a lot of potential, so do give it a try. I hope you write a Harley book soon.
We met Mack and Chase in The Wedding Planners, and this book overlaps a bit with that one, so while I don’t think it’s necessary to read TWP first, I strongly recommend it (also, it’s amazing and I loved Jemma and Nash)!
Chase and Mack have been friends since high school, and now they’re also business partners. They’re also not experts on love since the experiences they’ve had growing up weren’t very positive, so their relationship was a bit rocky and it took a lot of time for trust to be built (in a romantic sense, of course). The five dates were adorable, especially the ice skating one, and I really liked how Mack always knew what Chase would need/want before she said it.
I have to say I struggled a bit with some aspects. For me, there are two types of friends to lovers stories: one where they have loved each other for years and years but there’s a lot of miscommunication, and one where they are friends but they start falling in love when the book starts. I’m not a fan of the first one, so this part of the review has everything to do with me, and nothing with the book. I really thought they were going to start falling in love working together, but turns out they’ve been in love for years. Chase’s attitude of ‘’I can’t be with you but you don’t be with someone else’’ was a bit too much for me, and Mack’s jealousy throughout the book, even when they were already dating, was a bit strong.
These little issues aside, I read this book super fast because Erin’s writing makes you read one more chapter even when you’re planning to stop, as it happened with The Wedding Planners. I also loved Harley, she’s so amazing! A true matchmaker.
In the book the MMC talks about losing his virginity at 13 to an 18 y/o & says that it was consensual. Children cannot consent, 18 years old is legally an adult, & if the roles were reversed we would all recognize the issue. The fact that it’s so casually accepted is a major issue, both in this book & in societal norms.
Even without that I wouldn’t have given this book more than two starts. The FMC annoyed me, I feel like some of the characters were random, & because the romantic interest started at the very beginning of the boom it didn’t feel like there was enough build up. Took me almost a week to finish
The pro of this book: the woman was the grump & the guy wasn’t so I’m happy the roles were reversed
“It didn’t matter how I was feeling, seeing her had the power to make it better. It had always been that way, since that first day she walked into the girls bathroom. She was a light. A sometimes grumpy, foul-mouthed light, but a light nonetheless.”
Five Dates Between Friends was a sweet, best friends to lovers, grumpy female lead, one kiss changes everything, slooowwww burn love story! Erin Thomson has created a world of people trying to pave their way in the world and find out where they truly belong, and with whom!
Chase is a grumpy bartender and co-owner, with her best friend Mack, of Rudi Blue. She has seen relationship after relationship around her fail. Watching people fall in and out love has made her believe that nothing truly lasts forever.
Mack grew up with parents that should’ve split up sooner and a dad that put too much pressure on him to succeed. Now, as an adult, he feels like he hasn’t quite found his thing. Except Chase. He loves her but he can’t tell her because he doesn’t want to lose her.
Watching Mack and Chase actively fight against whatever was pulling them together was PAINFUL. They were so good together!! However, the good moments were over too quickly and you were just left with a lot of dialogue about how they weren’t going to work. It took Chase SO long to get on board - and that was rough.
Mack, Chase, Jemma, Nash, Harley, and Hunter all fiercely support each other and I LOVE it. They are constantly pushing each other to pursue that one thing that scares them the most, whether that be a person, a career, or a hobby.
I will definitely be sticking around to read more about this group!! Harley and Hunter??
Thank you so much Erin Thomson for this ARC in exchange for an honest review! You’ve created a wonderful world that I am excited to dive back into!
I absolutely love friends to lovers, and I was so sold on the few teasers I saw of this one so by the time it came out I was ready to dive in.
But I’m afraid to tell you this wasn’t friends to lovers. This book went out of its way to convince you that these two didn’t know every little thing (or some really big things) about each other despite being friends half their lives. It’ll almost have you wondering if they’re really even besties at all. I don’t know if this was a weird way of justifying two people waiting to fall in love in their 30s after being inseparable for 15 or so years, but it really took some hits to the friends to lovers trope.
There was also so much spice that when they finally went all the way, it was so anticlimactic i found myself skimming. I like me some spice. But having multiple orgasms the scene before they actually bed up really cut any sexual tension that would have given the grand finale any oomf.
There was a lack of backstory, but multiple references to events that were never really explained or delved into (a teenage kiss for one), and a massive cast of extras that come and go with little to no intro or necessity.
The writing was really good, banter cute, and the relationship shipable, it just missed some marks for me, or could have used a pass or two through revisions.
“I couldn’t move, could barely think, my entire world had just shifted, rearranged itself so I was no longer held on the earth by gravity, but by her.”
Chase and Mack. Ah, these two 🥰 I just love them!
If you like a book with strong personalities, a truck-load of sexual tension, and a besties to lovers trope, then I highly recommend this one!
This was a real comfort-read for me. I looked forward to picking this up every night (my only chance to read) and immersing myself in this story. The writing style is brilliant, full of humour, making it an effortless read - I'm sure I had a perma-grin on my face as I devoured this book 😁
“Brady grumbled like a petulant toddler and I only just resisted an eye roll so deep it would have detached a nerve.”
I loved the dynamic between Chase and Mack. Their deep friendship and affection for each other is superbly demonstrated 🙌
You don't need to read The Wedding Planners before reading this one, but it's quite nice to have those little cameo's from TWP's main characters 😊 Like little Easter eggs 🐇🥚
This book was an absolute joy to read 🥰 And now I need to get me some pie 🥧😋 #iykyk
I was lucky enough to receive an eARC in exchange for an honest review.
"She was a light. A sometimes grumpy, foul-mouthed light, but a light nonetheless."
Chase and Mack are best friends, business partner's, and basically each others person. It's a perfect friendship until they kiss, and it changes their entire dynamic. Mack isn't willing to go back though, so he does everything to convince Chase to give him 5 dates to prove they could be so much more than best friends and business partners. Mack is the one person that Chase cannot bear to lose in her life, so she makes him promise that at the end of this, they would still be each other's best friends.
I love love love a good friends-to-lovers story, and this delivers all the gooey cuteness you could want. What really made this book work so well was their friendship being so strong. They are so effortlessly one unit, so when love is thrown into the equation it feels natural.
The dates between them were soo freaking sweet. Mack was absolutely determined to show her that they were a good idea, and the dates he planned put him right into swoony boyfriend material. He was persistent, and so sure of them, even when Chase was struggling to break down her walls.
This is a fantastic follow up to The Wedding Planners. I highly recommend if you're a fan of friends to lovers, cute & swoony dates, fantastic banter, great side characters, and pies . I had the best time reading this!
Thank you so much Erin Thomson for this ARC in exchange for an honest review! ↠ 4.5 stars
I feel like I should have read The Wedding Planners first, and I fully intended to, my list of books just got out of hand. I have SO MANY QUESTIONS about Nash and Gemma! It just felt like the books started so abruptly, so I feel like I missed something somewhere.
With that said I absolutely LOVED this book. It was longtime friends to lovers but it didn’t have the usual miscommunication, refusing to tell the other person how they feel situation. They not only knew each other so well so they couldn’t really hide their feelings, but they also were constantly telling each other how scared they were, and I was here for it. Of course, their communication wasn’t perfect, it can’t be right otherwise there would be no conflict!
Mack and Chase have been friends since high school, they are business partners, they are each other’s person, they are everything to each other. And that’s going fine until they kiss and quite literally everything changes. After a weird double date that neither of them even wanted to go on, Mack convinces Chase to go on one date, hopefully at least five dates, to see where their relationship could go.
Chase has never seen a healthy relationship in her life. Her mom packed up and left after every break up, she herself never had a lasting relationship. Men always left. So why should she take the risk with Mack? He is the one person she cannot lose. But Mack does everything in his power to show her that he is not going anywhere no matter what. He was SO PATIENT. And it’s because he wasn’t willing to let her go, he loves her so much.
They had so much chemistry, I thought they were quite literally perfect for each other. Since they were friends for so long, they (tried and mostly succeeded) to take it slow to make sure they got it right. It was so nice to see them going on actual dates and being sweet with each other.
Besides the relationship part of the story everything else was so good too! Mack chasing after his own dreams. Mack’s sister’s whole story - I hope we see more of her sometime??? Also Mack’s niece Savanna?! I loved her, she loves Chase just as much as Mack does. Chase finally learning why her mom’s full truth and them coming to a real understanding. All of the side characters were so great! I hope we can see more of them and their potential budding relationships in the future!!
Thank you so much to Erin Thomson for this ARC in exchange for an honest review! I cannot wait to go back and read The Wedding Planners and for everyone to read this book!
“She was a light. A sometimes grumpy, foul-mouthed light, but a light nonetheless.” 🥹🥹🥹
This would have been a much better book if the author had focused more on the plot and less on the smut. The FMC was super unlikeable to me but the MMC was a joy. I enjoyed his chapters and the dual POV.
This is my first book by the author and enjoyed it so much!😍 It's your classic friends to lovers, with a sunshine boy and a grumpy girl! It was such a refreshing take on the trope!
Chase was a very layered character with a lot of walls. I related to her in her grumpiness and it was nice not to see it be categorized as being mean or bitchy. I did have my moments of " mija déjate de cosas " but I understood where she was coming from. 👌🏻
Mack was the perfect sunshine boy and I love him so much! I loved how all in he was for Chase. Absolutely loved him! The dates he planed and those little moments just chef's kiss! ♥️
I loved their friendship, a lot of the times the friendship takes a back burner to the relationship in this trope but I loved him effortless the friendship was here. The relationship was just an extension of what they already had and it really worked on creating a realistic relationship.
Overall this was such a lovely read. I fell in love with these characters I can't wait to read more! 😍
Thank-you Erin Thomson for the chance to review this ARC!
I would firstly just like to say a big thank you to the author who very kindly forwarded me an arc copy of her book, for my Kindle, in return for my honest review.
I absolutely love a friends-to-lovers trope and I was not disappointed with this story. Mack and Chase are best friends, business partners and maybe a little bit more - but they don’t know it yet….. and then they kiss and this throws everything on it’s head and Chase really doesn’t know what to do. Mack was very swoonsome especially with all the date planning - adorable!! This was a wonderful, romantic read, very sweet but with a touch of sauce! I loved it…..
4.5/5 I'm a sucker for a best friends to lovers. Add in business partners/ work place romance and I'm here for it. Chase and Mack have my heart. Read for a funny time.
"I just needed a moment to freak out, that was all.” And I needed him to pull me out of it. My voice of reason. “To us.” “To us,” I agreed and he clinked his glass against mine."
“Whose side are you on, Milton?” “I didn’t realize there were sides, Chastity.” “Well there are.” I pouted. “There always are.” “Then I’m always on yours.” He nudged my shoulder."
“You won’t lose me, Chase, not ever, you have to know that.”
There is just something about a well written friends-to-lovers romcom that gets my heart smiling. All the shared history and familiarity between Mack and Chase recites a more genuine dialogue of witty banter, vulnerable heart to hearts and bubbling sexual tension.
I adored the evolution of Mack from the sexy and flirty bar owner to swoony boyfriend material. The thought and care he puts into planning the dates and instilling the five date rule puts him high on my fictional men list 🥵.
Chase is definitely someone I could be friends with IRL, and because of that, I found myself wanting shake all the doubt out of her mind and scream that Mack is the one!! but, at the same time I could also relate to her fractured view of relationships and hesitancy to allow herself to go all in at the risk of losing the most important friendship in her life.
Which brings me to one my favorite things about Erin's writing. The way she writes not only her characters with such depth, but that the sweet essence encapsulates you. I could smell every coffee, taste the cinnamon rolls and dammit, be prepared to have a serious craving for dessert pie after reading this! 🥧
Side Note: We first meet Mack and Chase as the two besties with some serious chemistry in Erin's debut novel, The Wedding Planners. Five Dates Between Friends picks up towards the tail end of WP and is more in the realm of a spin-off than a sequel. This means you can read it without having read WP, but to get a true sense of the supporting characters and atmosphere, I recommend reading WP first (and not just because Nash and Jemma are 🔥).
Thank you to the lovely Erin for sending me an eARC of FDBF... I can only hope there is a followup in the works!
I love a great friends to lovers story! Mack and Chase are so perfect for each other it's almost gross. Wow, the patience Mack has to deal with Chase's defeatist mindset is strong. He really played the long game (15 years) to get the girl of his dreams. I really loved all the side characters also, especially Harley and Hunter! I really hope to see more of them in future books. I didn't know that this was technically book #2 in a series of connected characters, so I'm definitely going to go back and read The Wedding Planners to get more of Nash and Jemma.
Spice level is 3.5/5 and I greatly appreciated that! As well as spice there are TONS of sweet kisses shared between the MCs which was just a joy to read. I loved seeing the sweet side to their relationship just as much as the spicy side. Overall, a really sweet story with great insight into what it's like to try and transition from longtime best friends to lovers. Also, it was written in dual POV which is always fun!
Thank you to the author for the ARC in exchange for an honest review!!!
Sad to say that as someone who loves the friends to lovers trope, this is the type of story that also makes me hate the trope...
We first meet Mack and Chase in The Wedding Planners - which i feel needs to be read first because you kinda just get thrown into the story. They both own a bar together, and they both have feelings for each other, but they don't act on it (for very miniscule reasoning).
I adored Mack! He was so in love with Chase, and maybe he came off as a bit pushy, but i feel that he was a man who knew what he wanted, and Chase’s hard headed-ness wasn't easy to break through. Chase was so incredibly infuriating!! I get having commitment issues because of exes and a mother's dating choices... that's understandable. But not wanting to ruin a friendship yet still want to get down and dirty with said friend - not even wanting to give dating a try because of "inevitable outcome" - is genuinely the most annoying route.
I was just not having a fun time with this one, and constantly being reminded that they're "JUST FRIENDS" had me grinding my teeth in irritation.
If you are in the mood for a best friends to lovers romance this is the book for you! This is dual POV between two best friends Chase (heroine) and Mack (hero) who share a kiss one night which changes everything. Mack convinces Chase to go on 1 date to see how good they could be, which then turns into 5.
This is a reverse grumpy / sunshine and let me tell you the dates these two go on are so stinking cute. They’ve known each other since freshman year of high school and because they know each other so well the dates they go on and presents (timeline over the holidays) they get each other are so meaningful. I loved this book so much - swipe to see how many tabs I had lol.
It’s on KU but I had to get a physical copy because of the cover!!
*I was given an advance copy of this book in exchange for an honest review*
Erin’s previous (debut) novel ‘The Wedding Planners’ was the first ‘romance’ novel I’d ever read, and after loving it so much that I tore through it in 3 days, I couldn’t help but add myself to the ARC and Launch teams for her next novel. It was too exciting of an opportunity to waste! I, like so many other readers, had hoped that Erin would create a ‘spin off’ for Chase and Mack, because they were such alluring characters. I was not disappointed when she delivered it! (Is anyone else now not so secretly hoping for a Harley spin off? I’m sure that would be wild!) Romance novels have never previously been an area of interest or enjoyment for me, but I really like Erin’s style of writing. Her novels are so easy to get into, that I often find myself losing myself in their pages and having no sense of time passing. ‘Five Dates Between Friends’ proved to be another ‘page turner’ for me. I, yet again, did the embarrassing/wrong thing by skipping ahead multiple times, because the anticipation was KILLING me! Unlike my previous experiences with ‘The Wedding Planners’, I tried to steady myself and draw the read out, both for sustained enjoyment, but also the fact that I couldn’t/shouldn’t be neglecting every other aspect of my life, even if I was on holidays. Reading this novel was a daily routine, and one I very much looked forward to. Where ‘The Wedding Planners’ was steamy, sticky, spicy and the right amount of sweet, ‘Five Dates Between Friends’ yielded something equally as intriguing, but in a totally different way. Having formed two of my three relationships from friendships first, one could say I’m definitely a sucker for the ‘best friends to lovers’ trope. I really enjoyed the sweetness, sincerity and slow burn that was presented in Chase and Mack’s gradual progression towards partnership. [And there’s no denying the ‘hot and heavy’ passion that came after their hasty 5th date]. Yet again, I enjoyed the characters. Not just because we had the sideline plot of Nash and Jemma whom we had come to know and love. Nor that we also got to know other fun characters like Harley. It was the fact that Erin continued to deliver relatable characters – authentic, ultimately imperfect (despite their gorgeous outward appeal). I enjoyed exploring their previous experiences of relationships and the patterning passed down by their parents and their effects on Chase and Mack’s actions. It felt natural. Complications were borne out of real-life events, and very possible traumas (divorce, absent parents etc). The drama was believable, and rich, but not too contrived. Similarly, I enjoyed the two perspectives of the main characters as I had done in ‘The Wedding Planners’ and the scarily accurate inner monologues. Whilst some people have commented on their dislike of the swearing, I’m someone who find profanity cathartic and felt that most (if not all) seemed appropriate/genuine as I read. The sprinkling of humour, fun and frivolity was also very much appreciated in her follow up novel too. ‘Five Dates Between Friends’ is an entertaining, light-hearted read. I love that Erin writes such fabulous ‘holiday’/’Summer’ reads. Books that are easy to follow and enjoy. They’re convenient to pick up whenever and wherever you like. And just as easy to burn through if you want to settle in and escape everyday life (and who doesn’t want to do that every now and again?!)
Warning – you may develop an unhealthy obsession with pie (or dream of becoming a baker) -you may contemplate your ability to open a pub, brewery or cocktail bar -you may start dreaming up elaborate, ‘over the top’ romantic dates -you may convert to coffee, bagels and cinnamon scrolls as daily breakfast staples -you may experience a ‘reading hangover’ once you’ve churned through this book
If the best friends to lovers trope, cute, romantic dates, thoughtful gestures and knowing someone better than they know themselves take your fancy, then this book is for you!
I’m calling it at 58%. Can’t finish this one. I’ve certainly read worse writing that I actually finished but I just can’t seem to get past my issues with this. And I recognize that they’re my personal pet peeves:
1. I love friends to lovers trope. One of my very (if not top) favorite tropes. But for me it takes careful handling to pull off (like enemies to lovers). One all too common way to extend the drama in friends to lovers is the dreaded “I love you but we can’t be together because I don’t want to wreck what we have”. The reason it’s dreaded for me is because I feel like by the point they realize they are in romantic love they are already past the “we’re going to wreck this if we do something about it” because by doing nothing someone is going to be hurt and it puts a big awkward roadblock in their friendship anyway. But here’s the thing about this book. Chase (FMC) is saying this from basically the first chapter when she and Mack “accidentally” kiss. Usually I can get through this annoying relationship hiccup because it’s typically coming in the 3rd act drama and I’ve already grown to like the characters enough to get over it and bear through the couple chapters until whichever character comes to their senses. I just couldn’t stand listening to Chase back and forth lead him on and then push him away any longer.
2. They bicker like children but then instead of working it out like adults they’re kissing and “almost” fucking. At the point in the book that I’m stopping they’re at about third base but it’s close enough to say that the writer is covering up their issues by making them go at each other sexually instead of talking through their issues. Which, again, seems like a way to just drag out this insecurity and wishy-washy behavior of Chase’s and the tension all the way through the book.
I’m sure others may love this since the writing is not bad at all, but I just couldn’t deal with another 40% of more of the same and I could tell that’s what I was going to get. I’m sure some big thing happens that makes Chase realize she’s being an idiot and they end up in blissful HEA but I don’t have the patience or interest at this point to bother getting there.
Mack and Chase have been friends since forever. Good friends actually. The epitome of the word friendship. All this changes after a kiss. Mack manages to weasel a deal with Chase to give him one date to prove to her they are meant to be together; that they can make it work. Be more than friends. One … five dates, who is counting?!
This was such a swoonsome romantic sweet read. Nevertheless, a fun and entertaining one as well. The start of this one felt a bit slow and dragged in some instances, but then things picked up and progressed nicely. Things became interesting with touches of scorching chemistry.
The strong deep friendship between Mack & Chase was superbly demonstrated by their shared past history and how well they knew each other without the need of words sometimes. It was depicted so effortlessly and genuine. They were each other supporter and voice of confidence. So many emotional moments and open heart talks between two individuals connecting and clicking so well it makes you wonder what took them so long!
It was so easy to fall in love with both characters. Loved how patient & determined Mack was. He was all in to prove himself to Chase. Persistent & confident in them to the max. A great date planner & gift giver btw! And I definitely felt for Chase & her hesitancy to jumping in and accepting such a change. I relate to her on this. Change is scary. But sometimes it can be so rewarding.
This one had quite some interesting array of supporting characters as well which I for one am not against reading more about. Harley, Hunter come on, their stories are begging to be told! Can we make this happen ?! 🥹
Thank you to the author for providing me with an ARC copy of this book. If friends to lovers is your jam, this one will be it!
The hero and the heroine are best friends for nearly half their lives, but then a kiss changes everything in their relationship, especially when romantic feelings come into the forefront. The heroine is reluctant to change the status of the most important relationship in her life, but the hero persists for five dates to change her mind. How will dating each other change everything for the two best friends or will they stay the same?
This is the friends-to-lovers contemporary romance. The book has dual perspectives featuring the heroine and the hero as their platonic relationship turns romantic. It has characters that were featured in THE WEDDING PLANNERS and some new ones that brought the story some depth to it. There were also some entertaining moments and some serious moments, a wonderful mix in the book. While the book features my favorite romantic trope, I do feel some disassociation from the main couple. Both the heroine and the hero are relatable and have their own defining moments in the book, yet I didn't connect to them as much as I wanted to. Therefore, even though the story is entertaining, I couldn't enjoy it to the highest potential. I also felt that it would be best if a future reader read the first book to get a better picture of the couple, which I felt is important to enjoy the whole book. though said book does provide the crucial information from the previous book to read as a stand-alone. Overall, a solid book in this Erin Thomson series.
Mack and Chase have been friends since freshman year of high school. 15 years later and they are still best friends and business owners together of a bar. Mack has always been in love with Chase so when they kiss for a second time he asks they give it a try. He talks her into one date and if they don't like it they can go back to just friends.
My rating:☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️(5/5)
My first friends to lovers and I absolutely loved it!!! This book had me gushing for them! They are so stinken cute!!! I want to try Mack's pies too! Chase and Mack had a lot of trauma of their own to unpack. The fact that it took talking to her mom for her to realize it was herself getting in the way of her relationship with Mack felt like a band aide to her trauma. But I sure did enjoy her plan to make it up to him. I would of also loved to have been in Mack's POV when Chase got into the sequins jumpsuit to apologize.
🚨🚨Spoilers below read at your own risk🚨🚨
This book was too cute! The fact that were best friends and to just have her in his life Mack settled for friendship was cute! He would be ok if her happiness was with someone else as long as she stayed in his life and I found that adorable. I also loved like how a true best friend he knew her so well he knew what not to say to stop her from bolting on what they were trying to have together. But the downside of that was that she also knew him well and saw right threw that. Honestly this book gave me so many feelings had life not gotten in the way I would have flown through the book.
