Peyton: Could I have become the worst cliche? Like my biological father a sports injury guaranteed I would never play professional football. Unlike Bio-dad, I didn’t wallow in self-pity or blame anyone except myself for my predicament. Football might have been plan A, but my marketing degree was my backup. I had the summer to get back on my feet. Then I would take a position at Van de Graaf’s. The company my adopted father co-owned. The only issue with returning to Tranquility was Chloe Wainwright: my first heartbreak. Was I ready to resurrect my crush on the girl known for her disappearing act? Chloe: I cherished my time with my Aunt Catherine while my parents, the anthropologist, toured the globe. It broke my heart to leave at the end of each summer. My parents insisted I experience the world. With my newly printed degree in Library Science, perhaps I could fulfill my dream of Tranquility becoming my permanent home. Too bad Peyton Manos had the same idea.
After many years of traveling and experiencing life as a military wife, Canadian-born author Brandy Munroe enjoys the quiet life that comes with living in a small town.

Her goal is to create characters that pull at your heartstrings and make you cheer for the happily ever after.
Gah! Little Peyton is all grown up. He's is a genuinely nice guy. I could see so much of his dad in him. He likes to push Chloe's buttons and get the poor girl all riled up. She, unfortunately, has major misconceptions about Peyton and views him in a not-so-flattering light. It doesn't take long for them both to see that some of their views are way off the mark and that the person they are looking at fits them perfectly. Highly recommended author and series
