Mr. NFT is the Banksy of Red Rooms. Billing himself as the "human taxidermist." his exhibitions command the attention of the richest and most exclusive patrons on the dark web. Problem is, it's all an elaborate sting operation, and several of those snared are amongst the powerful in the world and will do anything to avoid exposure. Red Room wraps up its second "season" with its most shocking issue yet! From the creator of Hop Hop Family Tree and Grand Design!
Ed Piskor had been cartooning professionally in print form since 2005, starting off drawing American Splendor comics written by Harvey Pekar. The duo continued working together on 2 graphic novels, Macedonia, and The Beats. Ed began self publishing Wizzywig after developing a huge interest in the history of Hacking and Phone Phreaking. 3 volumes, making up 3/4 of the full story, have been published to date.
Recently Ed had designed the characters for the new Adult Swim series, Mongo Wrestling Alliance.
In the second season finale of Red Room, Ed Piskor focuses more on the viewers of the murderous live streams and less on the hosts of said streams. After monts of hard work, the FBI is able to take away the anonymity of Red Room streams and capture various viewers. In this issue we see how different people react to that. Some commit suicide, some escape and some go to prison. This was a really great issue. The story has a non linear structure, which works perfectly and flows very smoothly. The various different perspectives presented offer a wider and more in depth view of the situation and also make for a very interesting read. In general, I love stories were we see more than one perspectives and this comic isn't an exception. Furthermore, all the characters were very interesting and well written. The way each of them reacts to the situation makes perfect sense with their character. Overall, this was the perfect ending for the second season finale of Red Room, with great writing and, as always, incredible and extremely detailed artwork.
