I was the queen’s shadow, the second highest ranking vampire in clan Disaris. Nothing happened without my knowledge. Kiara was my queen and my twin sister. I would kill for her in an instant.
So when I discovered an assassination attempt by two rival clans, I did what anyone else would for their sister. I took the hit. The assassins missed her but got me. And as I lay bleeding out, I welcomed death, but found life instead.
Spencer Auvrey. The man who found me and got my heart pumping in more ways than one.
Saved by a human. I owe him my life, but letting him join me on my quest for vengeance will ultimately ruin him.
Who knew falling so low could leave me feeling so high?
MARKED AND RUINED is one of sixteen books within the Games of the Underworld shared universe. It is a standalone novel which can be read independently, but to get the full story, it is highly recommended to read all of the books within the series.

What a wonderful addition to the GOTU World!! This book knocks it out the part! Julia and Spencer! I loved them both. This book was seamless. It incorporates past characters perfectly. It was beautifully written and the chemistry between the two MCs was inferno Hot 🥵
This is not only my first book by Ivy Penn, but also my first book that is set in this world! And I cannot wait to read more! This world is going to be epic! As for my first Ivy Penn book, I really enjoyed it. And I really want more of these characters! Spencer and Julia are fabulous together! And the premise behind their love story was fantastic! The idea of them dreaming about each other for years before they meet was a fun idea. And their Chemistry is off the charts! I will say, that I did feel that the story was a little rushed and was definitely left open for more, despite there being an ending. And maybe we will be getting more from these two. One can hope at least. Anyways, this was a great introduction to Ivy Penn and the Gods of the Underworld!
I received an arc copy of this book for an honest review. This is my first book of this series and my first book written by Ivy Penn. Maybe because I was reading the book as a standalone, I was confused by all the characters and also confused by why some things happened. BUT-the love story of the 2 main characters was phenomenal! I loved how they dreamed of each other from when they were children and how they could speak through their minds to each other. Also, the s*x was HOT! Very nicely done!
I went into this book blind, having not read any of Ivy Penn’s books, like ever
The story flowed perfectly from start to finish
I have read many genres, and I wasn’t sure how I would respond to this story, but this story pulled me in, immersing me in to there world.
These characters where very well written
Seeing the past merge with the present, we can see how particular events shaped our characters, especially Julia and Spencer.
These two characters don’t get off on the right foot, there snarky witty banter will make you laugh, but more-so it ignites feelings, that over time they begin to accept, there foreplay leading to blazing hot smutty scenes.
Spencer is a possessive male who controls in the bedroom, and Julia is a strong female who demands respect in combat, it’s no wonder why these two characters are so well suited to each other.
This is my first Ivy Penn book, and my first post-apoc book. That being said, I also went into this blind. I didn't even read the blurb! 🤣 This book is part of a series, but I wasn't aware of that and obviously haven't read any of the preceding books.
Julia is a twin, who takes the hit of an assassin for her sister, because of course she does. What sister wouldn't? Julia is a badass vampire. She's strong willed, sharp witted, and combat smart. Surely we can't lose her right at the beginning! She's the heroine!
Enter Spencer! Whew! Oh no…but he's a human. Erk! Well, he did save Julia's…life? Anywho! Spencer made me all kinds of squirmy. I couldn't decide if I liked him submissive and worshipping Julia OR if I liked him dominant . If someone were to ask which I preferred, the answer would have to be…YES!
All in all, it's a pretty amazing book. I do kind of get the idea that reading the first 2 in the series would be a good plan so you can get a broad view of the world building.
Anywho! Time to wrap this up with the goodies: Read: 4 🌟🌟🌟🌟 Spice: 4 🌶🌶🌶🌶 HEA
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I am big fan of Ivy Penn, this read not only was a good addition to the Game of the Underworld Series but had a great plot. Julia was a great strong character. Spencer is human but still a strong character and Julia feels compelled to protect him as she gets her revenge. They were a great pair and the story was well written.

I'm thrilled being back in the underworld with vampires and humans. They are Mortal enemies but in this epic book by Ivy Penn things takes a turn. The interaction between Spencer the human and Julia the vampire is so well written and fascinating. And it's a absolute read it can be read as a standalone but to get the whole picture od the underworld I recommend you to read all the books in the series. Happy reading and welcome to the fantastic world of the underworld
I love how this book and the others before it tie into one another. I loved the chemistry of Julia and Spencer especially dreaming of one another until fate put them in each others path. I loved the storyline and the steamy scenes were great . The ending was nice with a surprise for Julia and Spencer . I can’t wait to see what happens in the rest of this interconnected series.
Such a perfect addition to the Game of the Underworld series! Love Spencer - and in Julia he has his hands full. Or should I say, Julia, our badass vampiric babe, has a full time worshipper in Spencer. Ivy Penn plays with the power dynamic between these two, often giving and taking from the character to leave you (the reader) out of your comfort zone. BUT it works!.

Julia had given her all to save her sister the Queen from the assassination plots against her, she thought her self a lost cause for death until human Spencer comes along. Well written engaging read the characters develope well and hold your attention through out.

Great sequel. Loved how the last book ended and this began!! FMC was redeemed!! She was bada$$ and being with a male did not detract from her toughness or decisiveness. Loved that she stayed true but mellow!! This whole approach of the female being the supernatural was amazing! I can’t wait for the next book.
This was my first Ivy Penn book and I was blown away by the story. Vampires and humans shouldn’t coexist much less be drawn to one another. I love a strong female character and Julia was exactly that and it was beyond cool she was the vampire. The chemistry between her and Spencer was off the charts. This might very well be one of my favorite vampire/human stories.
I was excited to finally read this book as I have read others in the series. I love the story, especially how each main character had dreamed of each other, and when they found each other, the bantering added a layer of humor. The story fits perfectly into the timeliness and is a perfect addition. I'm super excited to continue the series!
This book is amazing. I love how everything moves smoothly from start to finish. If you love a great love story with two people from different species who've been connected since they were young then this book is for you. You won't be disappointed
Super quick read Life after an "apocalyptic" disease wipes through the world Figuring out how to live now and releasing everything might not be as expected
Hello, would you like a side of ✨️female worship✨️ with your post-apoc vampirism? Why yes, yes I would like that very much 😩👌
Ivy Penn delivers with a new power couple in the GOTU world. Julia is an important figure amongst her sisters and an incredibly powerful vampire, a feat she proves more than once. Why wouldn't Spencer bend his knee to such a woman? Spencer is a hot mix of submission amd domination to his queen in the most delicious ways. A leader in his own right, with the desire to protect the vulnerable, a caretaker role comes naturally to him. These two left me with a blushing grin on my face and a full heart. Their unique bond was like hot heckin magic beginning to end.
But with their important roles come commitments. Ties are being made and discovered amongst clans that need to be addressed. Rules are being broken and bent. The beginnings of change are on.
We're also blessed with more delightful character crossovers between the GOTU books and authors, divulging more about them.
This book was so easy to devour, I intentionally slowed myself down to savour it in my mind.

New author for me. This story was well-written with well-developed characters. The storyline was fast-paced and easy to read. Definitely recommend this book.
