Summer time is supposed to be filled with fun and joyful memories, but that wasn’t a hundred percent the case for Kassidi Mirando. As a school teacher, she had time off, but she planned on spending it with her dying aunt back home in Brooklyn.
With hopes of rekindling her romantic and social life, Kassidi hit yet another obstacle reminding her why she moved away in the first place. But that was until she ran into Kazmair “Kaz” Karr, a NBA all star, who took a liking to her the moment he laid eyes on her.
Both with a past and emotional baggage, will they be able to love each other properly? Or would it be best they enjoyed their short fling for the summer?

Love the humbleness and gentleness of Kaz. Even though he is a NBA star he treats everyone with respect and doesn't think that he is bigger then anyone. Kassi learned that Tavi was no friend of hers. I believe she knew that, but needed the incident to happen to actually open her eyes. For Tavi to use that video from college to try and ruin Kassi relationship with Kaz was trifling and lowdown. Glad Kaz didn't let stop him. Jayce is a F*Boy and glad Kassi dodged that bullet. P.Wise you did a fantastic job with this book. Can't wait to see what you have coming next. S/N can we get a wedding book on Kaz and Kassi please. 🤔🤔🤔
I knew Sanaa had something to do with drugging Kassidi. Tavia thought she was every man's fantasy. She ain't nothing wrong with free-spirited and comfortable in your own sexuality. She knew she was dead wrong for sleeping with Jayce. She got her a** whopped twice. Kassidi is humble as they come. Aunt Val is as crazy as it gets. Kaz hooked her aunty up. Jayce and Tavia played her. Kaz showed her how she really be treated. Tavia thought she was blackmailing Kassidi, but Kaz said ain't nobody blackmailing his woman. Kassidi dodge a bullet by not messing with Jayce.
Loved the story, Kazmair was a breathe of fresh air , he was kind, humbled, caring and loyal to those he care about! Be careful whom are your friends are, poor Kassidi friends set her up in the worst way. In the end what's meant for you will be for you! Kassidi & Kazmair connection was unique and genuine! Karma has a way of handling those that do you wrong, hence Kassidi had to drop those supposed friends. Would love to see more of Kazmair & Kassidi.
The story was good, however there was some grammatical errors. What made me give this book 3 stars was because it wasn’t a realistic story. There’s no way in 2022 the main character Kassi didn’t use google to find out the guy she was communicating with, then to fly across country and still dint know who he is was just not believable. This story had potential but it needs work, it came off as an rough draft.
I really enjoyed this book. Kass definitely didn't need friends like Tavia or Sanaa. Jealousy reared it's ugly head with those two even down to trying to blackmail Kass. The joke was on them especially Tavia thinking Jayce was the prize. Kaz was clearly the better man for Kass. Their relationship was fast paced but you couldn't tell with how well they clicked. Glad she moved on and ended up with her happily ever after
Kaz was so sure of himself in the best way. He was humble and confident in his abilities on the court and with Kassi. Kacey is me! Dont play with my family Kassi had the wrong people as her friends smh. You can't let everybody get close to you, and you gotta watch these slick backhand comments. Tavia was a big time snake but karma got her real well 😂 Sanaa was just miserable because she was a bird.
First of all great job! Each book gets better and better. I miss the summer league games, as they were thing to do summertime. Had me feeling all nostalgic about the Rucker. Baby KAZ👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 was everything. Sucks how Kassi’s “friends” were really snakes. Glad she’s rid of them because they definitely only wanted her down fall.
I love seeing the progression in P. Wise's writing. This was a good story. I felt so bad for Kassi, she didn't deserve to be treated like that by people she thought were her friends. I hoped she could've got all they butts for doing that to her. Her and Kaz were something else though. It was funny how clueless she was when it came to his career. I enjoyed this.
Omg this book was so good we gonna need an update on the couple. A wedding book or something lol Kaz is Bae so I know the proposal would be 🔥🔥🔥🔥. Anyway both of those bitches would of been cut off because no friend would let that happen and she shouldn’t have taken a drink from any of them in the first place.
This was a cute, straight to the point book and I really enjoyed it. Kassidi and Kaz are the cutest couple ever. Her so called friends were straight haters and jealous as ever. Who needs enemies when you have friends like that? Great job and I can’t wait to see what you have in store for us next
This novella was so good from beginning to end. Enjoyed the storyline and these characters and I couldn't put it down. It flowed so smoothly and was well written. Jayce was a dub. Tavia and Sanaa wasn't real friends to begin with that's why they got their karma. Kasey was a true ride or die for her cousin. Kaz was heaven sent to Kassidi.
A cute read with a little drama, some truths, and a new relationship. A chance meeting of these characters lead to happiness. The author does a great job bringing the couple together and building their relationship. I am glad the fake friends fell by the wayside and got their karma.
I absolutely loved loved loved everything about Kassie and Kaz!! Their relationship was so cute! My girl got her happy ending after all! The prologue alone had me hooked! I read this book in one sitting! If you’ve never read a book by this author then you are really missing out!!
I'm so happy Kassidi seen that Tavia wasn't a real friend she was sack chaser and Jayce wife beat her and put her out there, Given Kazmair a chance was the best thing Kassidi ever did he literally changed her and family life!!
P. Wise is making her mark in this literary game!!
Always on point with her locations references and language, she weaves tales that keep you engaged and entertained. A great standalone read for a summer beach or picnic day!
Everything this beautiful woman does is AMAZINNNNGGGGGG!!!! Who needs friends when you have enemies is all I’m gone say . This was a really good quick read . I’m so ready to see what you have in store for us next . Thank you for blessing us with greatness 😍😍😍
Kassi, found her summer love after being betrayed by her best friend! She truly opened her heart to find love after she dealt with a sexual assault in college! She realized her baller and her family was all she needed!
Good quick read! Kassi was definitely a good girl but kind of gullible too. Her kindness was really taken as a weakness. I’m glad Kaz saved the day. She needed a man that could protect her from haters and cover her in that way!
This little collection is starting to be a bunch of cute summer stories. I love the characters but I swear Kaz is definitely a one on a million guy. I love how karma came for Tavia. I can’t stand snake friends and she definitely was a snake. I’m really enjoying what I’m reading from this author and can’t wait to see why else is in store.
So enjoyed this read. Love me some Kaz and Kass. The moral of this story to me is that everyone who you think are your friends are not. Accept it and move on!!
Reminds of keep your friends close and enemies closer. What a awesome love story. I was hoping Kacey would find a baller as well, but maybe in the fruture.
This was my first read by this author. It was very good. I felt like the ending was rushed but overall it was worth it! I wanted Sanaa to get beat down as well
P. Wise has written a masterpiece love story! Love won in the end and the backstabbing friends didn’t ! This book truly had action all the way through these pages!
