The mission to Camp 102 is dangerous. Ariel and her friends are forced by the Abnormals to join them. Micheal has had enough of Vivienne's cruelty toward Ariel. He wants this rescue mission to be done, so the Rebels and Abnormals can part ways.

Winter is fast approaching. Micheal desperately wants to lead the survivors to the Blue territory before the snow. Rebels must move quickly through the mountain pass or else risk staying in Eurathia until spring.

Ariel has learned the truth about her past and has gained a true father. This revelation and the endless support from her friends have helped her climb out of the deep depression she was drowning in. The absence of Seven is still a wound in her heart. But, Ariel has promised Sy and herself that she will keep moving.

The only question is will Edric and Vivienne let her?
