Firstly I’d like to thank Kay for sending me a copy to review! But I’d also like to apologise for taking so long to finally post my review! Life got a bit hectic I’m so sorry!
Devious desires kept me up reading till 2am 3 nights in a row, I was completely and utterly addicted and HAD to know what happened.
I am literally in love with each of the boys and strong, bossy and ball busting Kat has my heart🥹 I honestly can’t decide with of the boys is my favourite and at first I honestly hated all of them😅 but somehow the possessive, dark and broody men wormed their ways into my heart just like they did with Kat.
Aside from the main 4 I honestly don’t know who we can’t and can’t trust. Obviously the men *cough couch William & Richard cough cough* are just plain assholes and I honestly have never hated 2 people so much (they’re not even actual people😅 gotta keep reminding myself they’re fictional😤).
A LOT happens in this book, and often when there’s too much going on, reading can get tedious, but I didn’t find that to be the case at all. I think all the shit that goes down is so important for character development and really helps with the story.
And obviously the spice is *chefs kiss* the last scene is probably my favourite, or the scene in the gym with the lights out… IYKYK (wait is that this one or the next one?😅).
Anyway I immediately moved on the the Thursday and final book in the trilogy and omg it’s so so good!
P.S. check the trigger warnings before you read as the trilogy deals with several dark topics

Ahhh this keeps getting better and better and I cannot wait for the final installment of this sexy series!
I wouldn’t want to choose if I were Kat either. She is such a baddie and I am here for it. Bringing these bad boys to their knees for her. I also love that the guys all have their own kinks and dirty secrets.

That lock down scene and that last scene, friggin panty explosions; like poof, disintegrated.
There are so many unexpected twists and turns, this college crew sure has a ton to deal with on their shoulders; but the chemistry and banter between the 4 of them is amazing.
I have picked up both of these and binged them because I couldn’t stop, it’s so good.

Weak FMC, Good Spice
I didn't mind the FMC in the first book, but I absolutely loathe a weak FMC. It took everything in me to not DNF. The spice is nice, but the FMC makes my blood boil. Not sure if I'll bother with the third book when it's released.

3.5 but rounding up.
The ‘Families’ drama continues. Still rather predictable, but written well enough that I didn’t mind.
Kat is growing on me, and is currently in no danger of falling off the precipice of my dislike. She can still be annoying at times, but then, who isn’t? This book didn’t seem to have her as ‘badass with amazing skills at everything’. I know some people like that, but I prefer the more flawed characters. She is definitely feisty and opinionated, and can dish it out. But having her admit to herself at one point, ‘I fucked up’, made me soften. I don’t like it when the FMC thinks literally everything she does is justified and right.
The guys are enjoyable characters, although River is still my favourite. He is still a little on the outside, with a much different story than Eli and West. I think he is much more distinct because of that. Plus, he’s adorable.
Some of the stuff that happens just seems implausible or silly, but suspension of belief helps to keep everything together.
Some of the sexy times, especially near the end, took up whole chapters, and I admit I skimmed those, mostly in case I missed any important dialogue.
I’m still invested in the story, which is a good sign, and I’ll be reading the third book expecting it to be as interesting as the first two. Sometimes the second book can drag, but there was minimum dragging in this one. Except for some of the sexy times. But that’s a me thing.
Oh, and the editor appears to be doing their job. So good job, editor!

so much hiding and lies!
Picking up where we left off, book 2 was action packed and full of drama. I zoomed through this book and loved Kat and her men.
The feelings and relationships grew between all four them them, including River getting on better terms with Eli and West. The families still have things going on that I’m pretty sure will blow up in everyone’s face in book 3, but the fact that they are pushing to get Kat a husband is irritating. Trust me, all three of them have large protective and possessive feelings and that leads to some interesting “dates”. Their connections continue to build and I’ll just leave this here….. pr!m@l play on campus….. 🥵
Out of all of these, Eli absolutely broke my heart. That ending….. like WHY! The secret that Kat is keeping, really leads to some problems….. I mean secrets never stay secrets for long. Minimum Kat needed to confide in River….. but that ship sailed and now I’m not sure how Kat will get them back. That guilt and remorse is going to be a b!tch, but damn, how River West and Eli confronted her 😳. Kat mag have lit the final flame for Eli. 🌳 🔥 😢
Definitely recommend this RH series, it’s not finished and as of now, there is another book left. Its a darker enemies to lover book with criminal underworld workings.

The wait for book 2 did not disappoint!!! After the cliffhanger from book 1 I was very interested to see how all of that was going to play out. Getting to see Rivers backstory made things make sense but with every secret that was revealed even more were kept.
I loved getting to see the relationship between Kat, West, Eli and River mend and grow from the past of lies and secrets and as much as they say they hated the other it was very clear how much they all truly cared for each other and how far they would go to protect each other. However, with the cliffhanger I can’t wait to see what is in store for Kat and her guys after what they found out.
As always the character building and twists and turns and truths and lies is what keeps you so engrossed in these books, hell in all of Kay Riley’s books!! She knows how to build up to the spice and the reveals that are told and I can’t wait to see how this story concludes on book 3!
Last but not least can I just say that the last whole scene leading up to the cliffhanger was damn fire 🥵🔥🥵🔥🥵🔥🥵🔥

River and Kat have been kidnapped. Will Westin and Eli be able to find them and rescue them?
I love the twists in these novels and yes even the cliff hangers. This book got so much darker and violent than the first. The boys are not playing. They will not allow Kat to marry any one regardless of what their parents want.
There were a few events that I thought were going to be major events for the plot but that kind of actually got glossed over and never really referred to again. River’s mom leaving and the drugs they found in Eli’s car were the two that immediately come to mind. Why add them in if they don’t end up having a significant outcome in the plot of the story?
The chase scene in the school building was absolutely fantastic. The ending scene felt super hot but then terrible at the very end. I am sure that Kat is having a complete meltdown in her head.
R- Sex. Violence. Language

After the first book I couldn’t wait for the second. It’s not very often that books pull me in the way that this series has. The spice levels are perfection. The storyline will keep you on your toes the whole time. The characters are just so good I can’t even decide who I like the best. The last book ended on a cliffhanger and this book did not disappoint.
River, West,Eli and Kat are still figuring out how to go forward with their lives after everything from the past. The chemistry that they all have together and even apart is amazing. I love each one of them for different reasons. This book also ends on a cliffhanger and I can’t wait for the next book.
If you’re looking for a book with love, angst and just one to keep you guessing and on your toes the whole time, this is the book for you.

Ready for another why choose book?! Because I absolutely loved this book and I CANNOT wait for the next book to come out. The sooner the better! Devious Desires is the second book in the Heirs of Braidwood series and it definitely ends on a cliffhanger like the first book. But seriously guys, I could not get enough of this book and I devoured it! I absolutely love Kay Riley’s writing style and I love the characters in this book. Like how do you choose between three gorgeous guys that each have their own dirty secret? I wouldn’t want to choose either! I love how Riley keeps you on your toes throughout the entire book. You also get to see how each character develops throughout this book a little bit more and how they are each starting mend their relationships. Just a warning though, this is a dark romance so make sure to look up any trigger warnings before you read!

I really loved this book but am I the only one who is having a REALLY hard time with River? I don’t know why because he was my favorite for most of the first but I honestly can’t seem to get past everything he’s done to Kat. No matter his reasoning. Just can’t do it. He irks me to no end in this book and I have a feeling it won’t be better in the next. He better do some serious groveling.
I love West. He’s the sweetest. I feel awful that they’re so angry with Kat over her deal. She’s been through so much in these two books, it would be nice to see their relationship go in a positive direction versus the constant arguing and tension. I know they’re getting their HEA in the next book, but if we don’t see them make up awfully quick I’m going to be bummed. Also still need to see River make up for the constant betrayals.

This series keeps getting better and better!! Things are heating up in Braidwood. Secrets and lies are being exposed left and right. We get more backstory in this one (hello Suncrest crossover!) The twists just keep coming and coming in this one too.
I love that Kat is so sassy. She has an agenda on her own and will do what she needs to stay on track. River, Eli and West *SWOON* these guys... They will do everything they can to protect Kat, even when they know she's hiding something. I loved seeing their relationships grow from book one.
The whole book is a ride, but the last few chapters... omg. I was NOT expecting it to come out like it did and now I am on the edge of my seat to see what is planned for book 3. It is going to be a WILD final book!!

I love Kay for creating this
The way Kay manages to write past secrets and hidden agendas and plot twists is something special. I don’t know how she manages it, but this series has been so well fleshed out and the twists she creates are beyond.
Watching them all slowly lower their walls and begin to heal, all the while knowing what’s going to come is going to cut them deep? It’s definitely a trip you don’t take lightly, that’s for sure.
And with both series she’s got, this and the Suncrest Bay series, the spice just gets better with each book. I don’t know if she’s trying to outdo herself with each one, but job very well done.
It’s going to be bittersweet when this series comes to a close but I can’t wait to see how she manages to wrap it all up together.

Things are really heating up now! I love all the push and pull with these guys and Kat. Even the struggles between the guys and how they are finding their ways through past betrayals to try to move forward, somehow. This series has me seriously hooked in.
The spice in this book compared to book one has certainly gone up a few notches, and new discoveries were made along the way. Have I now done another internet search in my incognito tabs, well yes I have. Darn fascinations with seeing what things really look like.
I love the slight crossover from the Suncrest Bay series as well, really just like a small touch of home.

This series just keeps getting better. I cannot wait to see how it all comes together in the last book. I love Kat so much she is just one of those baddie FMCs that you cant help but fall in love with and I love how protective her three bad boys are but lets be real she is the only one that could bring these guys to their knees and I LOVE IT!!! I love how the relationships have developed with Kat and her guys they each have something special with her but together they are all explosive. Let me tell you Kay Riley took them spicy scenes to a whole other level in this book HOLY HECK!! Hold onto your panties!!! Sexy time is ON POINT!!! I cannot wait for the next book!!

I find myself becoming so attached to these characters! They all have their little quirks but parts that just make me love them all and you can see how Kat could never only pick just one guy. I can't even pick a favorite. 😂
This book was jam packed with answers to the many, many questions we had from book 1, and really dives into the backstory and secrets that Kat and the boys have been keeping. The crazy part though is there are so many things we dont know still!! I can't wait for the last book to come out and tie everything together! And I don't even know how things will go after that cliffhanger?! November can't get here soon enough!

Devious Desires is a page-turning adventure that shows how far people will go to have power and control. Kat is getting to know the guys again, and the more time she spends with them, she realizes they are still the same guys that made her childhood special.
They drive her crazy, but at the same time, they bring her peace and a safe place to let her guard down. They know her and what makes her happy. Together they face all the dangers and traps set against them.

Oh the rabbit hole tumbles even more! I am living for the concept behind this trilogy and I am dying to get my hands on the last installment. With that said, this book delves deeper into what brought Kat to where she is now and so much more with the guys. The sizzle between these four is intense to say the least and the spice is *chef’s kiss*. I love the complexity of this group as well. As twists and turns have things tumbling for them, you get a real sense of how things are playing out. There is so much passion, angst and twisty goodness wrapped up in these pages that it will have you begging for book three!

Wow! Kat, Eli, West and River are back!! Loved getting some of the back story and learning more about these four. They all have secrets and most come to light during the book. Trust is being built and they are all getting along. The guys are very protective of Kat, even though the parents warn them to keep their distance. They have a plan for Kat that no one knows but the guys will definitely fight anything that comes between them and their girl.
This end in a cliffhanger and I definitely wasn’t ready for that 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

This book did not disappoint. After book one I couldn't wait to see how things played out between Kat and the guys. All the tension led to some ✨explosive✨ fun times. As some of the secrets they are keeping from each other are revealed new ones come up threatening their rocky relationships. Even still Eli, West, and River will do everything they can to protect Kat from the Families. After the cliffhanger in this one I am impatiently waiting book three to see how this story ends.

I loved the character growth between Kat, River, West, and Eli as a group and seeing more of River’s backstory as well. Kay knows how to write strong female characters and Kat is no exception! I loved seeing Kat stand up for herself in this one. The chemistry, banter, and spice in this book does not disappoint! It’s also so fun seeing the crossover between Kay’s Suncrest Bay series into this. Can’t wait for book 3 to see how everything plays out!

Was really looking forward to this book after the first ended in the cliffhanger and so happy with this book. Couldn’t put it down loved the relationship between the 4 of them and the spice level 🌶🌶🌶🌶.
I’m hoping all 4 of them sort it out they deserve to be together just at the end I thought they change Kats plans and all put their differences behind and be together but didn’t see that cliffhanger coming. I need the next book like now.

When I tell you that Kay never fails to keep me on the edge of my seat while reading any of her books. This one’s no different.
I love a good why choose, especially with this three men. I need one of each. It has bondage, chasing, playing with toys in public places, and so much more.
Secrets upon more secrets. I love watching everything coming together and just getting crazy.

Betrayal, secrets and more threats!
This was better than the first one, the story and the relationships move along at a steadier pace. The chase scene through the auditorium was hot!!!!!!! There is also still a huge amount of pervading threat and ev!l coming from William and Richard towards Kat. And though the secrets that Kat has been hiding are pretty big, the guys are hypocritical alphaholes, cos they're not willing to give up what they're hiding.

Holy. Shit. I loved book one… and after the cliff hanger from Burried Betrayal… Book two did NOT disappoint. I’m obsessed with the characters and the way Kay has me on the edge of my seat unable to put this down. And the spice??? Yeah that gets turned up even more. And the ending?? I need book three ASAP.

She getting threats from every angle now making her panic but when the guys find out, everything is about to be turned upside down. I’m so hooked on this series.

I was waiting for this book after that cliffhanger had me completely dying and waiting for more. This book didn't disappoint and quenched my thirst with it's secrets, worries, aloof uncaring step-dads, lies and plots all around Braidwood. Kay has got you in for it and I can't wait for the next boom. Steamy and I can't wait to see what happens with the guys!
