This is a Devil’s Skull MC Short Story that is best read AFTER Blade and Sasha’s Duet - The Devil’s Weakness & The Devil’s Redemption. Events in this story take place roughly one month after Devil’s Redemption ends.
This beautiful little follow up to the duet had me all kinds of emotional. While the last ending was befitting the duo, I’m never going to say no to more. I loved how we got to see Sasha coping with the aftermath of events from the last few months. And I enjoyed seeing Blade actually sweat because he was so afraid of disappointing his ‘little girl’
Plus glimpses of Hawk and Maggie’s current situation has me needing their book like right now… *points at open palm waiting for Murphy to deliver* 🤣 alright in all seriousness I know The Devil’s Torment is coming this summer, so go preorder your copy like I did.
Originally published in the Beyond the Love: A BRAE anthology
This short story was the perfection that I loved for all that they have been through. Blade and Sasha are trying to move forward after the events that happened. Sasha doesn’t know how to tell Blade what is going on with her because she is afraid of how he will react. Blade is dying to make things with her permanent well more official, yet he is nervous. Can they both figure out how to let each other know that they both want the same things or will some misunderstandings drag them down? As I said, pure perfection that was steamy and so loving. I really hope we get more of Hawk and Maggie.
This review is only for The Devil's Promise by Murphy Wallace.
The Devil's Promise does a really good job of bridging the gap from The Devil's Redemption until Book 3 is released. Sasha and Blade have weathered the storm and are stronger together, but their story is not quite complete. They still have one more chapter to go. For me, this was the extended epilogue that I needed to close Sasha and Blade's story. It made me smile to see them actually behaving as a real couple.
As Sasha and Blade ride off into the sunset, there's plenty of sneak peeks into Hawk's situation with Maggie. Right now, it looks pretty dire, but Hawk's not about to give up. He just has to keep his mind active until he comes up with a plan to find his girl.
The Devil’s Promise takes place a month after the conclusion of The Devil’s Redemption. Sasha is still suffering in the aftermath of her abduction and both she and Blade are keeping secrets from each other.
Over the course of five chapters, Murphy Wallace shows us how important communication is in a relationship, and how easily secrets and misunderstandings can work against a couple. I spent the story internally screaming at Blade and Sasha to man/woman up and just tell each other what they had to say. Despite that, it’s a heartwarming book to give you all the fuzzy feels for your morning read.
This novella was a nice tie-in between Sasha and Blade and Hawk and Maggie. I loved it because Sasha is so strong and has been through the ringer, but her resilience makes me fall in love with her each time I read her story. It touches on how miscommunication, and even no communication, can almost ruin a relationship. The story was well written, and seeing a big bad biker fall onto his knees for the woman he loves made me giddy. Can't wait for Maggie and Hawk, and hope they get a HEA.
Please note that I did receive an ARC of this book and the opinions expressed in this review are my own.
I'm so glad we get to see more of my favorite people Sasha and Blade in this book. If ever there was 2 people who deserved to have their HEA it's these 2 they have been through so much especially Sasha. They're trying to move forward from all that's happened. Blade is wanting to make things permanent with Sasha and she's got a secret she's afraid to tell him when she overheard him talking to someone. What did he say to upset her? Will they be able to work things through? If your looking for a lil bit more about these 2 grab it up you'll love it.
The Devil’s Promise follows on with Blade’s and Sasha’s story after The Devil’s Weakness and The Devil’s Redemption. With everything they went through to be together, my heart needed more of these characters and Murphy Wallace did not disappoint. Just as Sasha struggles with how tell Blade some news, she overhears him saying something that makes her question their future together. Little does she know that Blade has a surprise in store that quickly extinguished her doubts and leads to a perfect HEA.
A visit back to Blade and Sasha - giving us a quick glimpse into their lives after the epic conclusion of The Devil's Redemption. Sasha has some questions about where life is taking her and what she needs to do about it but Blade proves once more that the one who matters most to him, is her. It was quick but still full of love. It also gave us a brief look into how Hawk is handling everything, making me more excited for his story.
4.4 stars. So, this book is super quick but you must have read the first 2 books to appreciate this story. Blade and Sasha have had a long and difficult road to get to where they are now. This is like a bonus ending for them. I loved that it wasn't all sunshine and roses but some tears and insecurities as well. This was a great story.
Fantastic conclusion to the Blade and Sasha's story. As she gets over the ordeal of being kidnapped she is hiding a secret but there is one person who knows that secret and he encourages her to talk to Blade. I love how Kid is patched in early for helping bring Sasha home. Blade and Sasha do get their long awaited HEA. I am excited for Hawk and Maggie's story.
We have learned that Blade has grown and loves her with his whole heart! Insecurities have a way of growing quickly out of proportion. Can Sasha believe in their love and work things out? You will enjoy this short extension of their story.
This was so good, I loved hearing from Blade and Sasha and seeing how they have grown and the love just pours off the pages. I can say it made me a little nervous for Sasha not knowing what her decisions were going to be. I was glued to the the pages and can't wait to hear from Hawk.
“The Devil’s Promise” is the perfect conclusion to Sasha and Blade’s story. It takes you on a thrilling ride through their lives after the close of “The Devil’s Redemption” and gives us the closure we need, while still wanting to dive more into their world.
The Devil’s Promise by Murphy Wallace is a short Epilogue for Blade and Sasha. This is a short, tender lovely end to their tumultuous, intense, heartbreaking story….and this ending is oh, soooo good!!! Loved it!!!!
I am volunteering to leave a review for an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
It was good to catch up with Sasha , Blade and the rest of the family and friends. Things are still rough for Sasha after everything she went through but Blade will do anything to see her safe and happy.
This short story was just the best. I am so happy for Sasha and Blade. Sasha so deserve a happy ending. Their love story was emotional ride but we got through it to our happy ending
I missed Blade and Sasha! I am so glad they got such a happy ending. This duo definitely deserves to make it to this point, after being through everything they have. I am voluntarily leaving a review after receiving an ARC.
