Jims wish to learn more about the spirit realms results in Linsa, his Muse, leading him on a journey through his Third Chakra, where magic mushrooms carpet the fields, and in the course of demonic orgies conducted in a medieval castle Jim falls in love with Mindu, the young girl spirit of his dreams.

Their happiness, however, is threatened by Linsas jealousy and her obsession with the demon/efreet Jod, an escaped spirit slave to whom she has offered a hiding place from the dangerous evil master who is scouring the universe in search of his slave and the priceless gold ring with the blue sapphire in it which he wears around his neck.

Linsa appears to be horrified when she realizes Jods evil master, from whom she had thought they were safely hidden, is on the verge of discovering their whereabouts. Persuaded by her to leave Mindu behind, Jim flees with Jod to his Fifth Chakra and presumed safety. But how safe are they? And is Linsas real plan not to save him, but only to separate him from Mindu, even at the risk of delivering him into the clutches of the mysterious and deadly Otorongo?

As a person who reads romantic novels, Otorongo is also different. The plot which centers around Jim and Mindu's love journey takes one into a dream filled with spirits, love, and fighting for one’s life. The fantastical locales that Jim visits are quite different from any romance I have read, as they incorporate fantasy, love, and even darkness that ipso facto involves violence. Jim's love interests include Mindu, who is quite fascinating, and then it’s no wonder that we cheer for them, even with the threats present. At the same time, the book's narrative delves into jealousy especially where Linsa is concerned, which further complicates and intensifies the tensions within the romance. More so, while the sexual elements may not appeal to all, it helps in illustrating the level of intimacy that exists between the characters. if you’re a fan of unconventional romance with a touch of fantasy and suspense, Otorongo is a wild ride that keeps you intrigued till the end.

For readers who enjoy complex characters, Otorongo presents a fascinating cast. The writers create very interesting characters for all the readers who appreciate multifaceted personalities. The protagonist is also a victim and a hero in his quest for discovering who he really is: balancing his devotion towards Mindu and the psychological games played by Linsa on him. Jod is another narcissistic character, who is madly in love with Jod, while Mindu is the Brian’s character in the story – a guardian of love and innocence, if there ever was one. The focus of the book depicts how love and other related feelings such as envy, possessiveness, and lust can make one do the unthinkable. For those who love character-driven stories, Otorongo offers a compelling look at how relationships shape our identities and decisions.

As a casual reader, Otorongo is a trip, quite literally. One thing to note is the unpredictability of Jim’s quest through the spirit realms — magic mushrooms, and even feeling emotions to the extreme. The other aspect which makes this book absolutely unique is the blend of fantasy, eroticism and tension. At certain points, the book might come off as a little too stuffy especially with the rather informative spirituality and metaphysics, but the narrative is captivating nonetheless. Jim and Mindu's romance is innocent yet full of tension, thanks to Linsa's jealous outbursts. Therefore, for a combination enthusiast such as myself, this book is a crazy combination of fantasy and an erotic adventure that is simply worth the read.

While reading the book Otorongo, I can say the combination of fantasy, eroticism, and spiritual quests was certainly unusual. There are many mystical aspects to the book and a pregnant woman’s journey through the Chakras that Jim undertook was interesting albeit at some points difficult to comprehend. The bond forged between Jim and the spirit, Mindu, is captivating but imposes a romantic yet fairly complex aspect of the narrative. The obsession and manipulation of Linsa also made the story’s intensity levels rise. Perhaps, romance- novels like this one written for people in my age group could be considered a bit niche but there are moments in the story that are quite interesting and look at different aspects of love and jealousy and even self- discovery.

I interpret Otorongo as a story of understanding oneself and the significance of love in any circumstance, however extreme. The impressions in Jim's journey might be too over the top or vulgar for some people. But there is something common in the pursuit of a cause and the people around. Jim’s bond with Mindu, while it may seem awkward and frustrating for some, is that of a person’s yearning for deep connection with another beyond a physical outcome. Linsa’s jealousy stems from the fact that some love triangles I have been involved in become messy when third parties come into play. Nice read for fathers, though mysterious, portrays love, protection, and challenges in relations – they do exist.

If you are a fantasy aficionado, then be ready for a rollercoaster experience here in Otorongo. Jim’s venture into the spirit realms and different chakras is a detailed mess of creativity. The magic mushrooms and the sexual rites and the idea of traveling the different chakras are interesting to all fans of the fantasy world. Then there is also the relationship between Jim, Mindu and Linsa, which makes the plot more interesting, because love, power and jealousy determine how the events will develop. There is also an unputdownable tension introduced by the evil side character who quest chases Jod. Readers who enjoy assaying mystical adventures mixed with a hint of erotic escapades will surely find this book entertaining.

Otorongo presents a strange and fascinating story, though it is likely not a typical choice for someone of my generation. The journey Jim embarks on is full of spiritual and erotic encounters, and it’s a challenging read due to its intense content. However, as a grandfather, I see Jim’s quest as one of self-exploration and an attempt to find balance between love and responsibility. Linsa’s manipulation reflects how external pressures can often try to break the bonds we hold dear. While the eroticism might not resonate with everyone in my age group, the themes of love, jealousy, and survival are timeless.

Crowned by love and longing, the bond Mindu and Jim have is fierce intertwined with Otorongo’s captivating yet bizarre adventure for romance fans. Their friendship borders on the heavens as they traverse treacherous territories. In addition to Linsa’s love for Mudn, which puts additional strain on their romance and causes the reader to ponder whether all is fair in love and war, there is Linsa. The text examines love between people’s souls and gives the works of literature greater depth than the obligatory happy ending of romantic adventures. If you are a fan of romance and looking for something that includes mystical factors with lots of love, this book should not disappoint you.

As a fantasy fan, Otorongo offers a mind-bending adventure. Jim’s exploration of the spirit realms and the various chakras is full of rich, imaginative elements. The magic mushrooms, the demonic orgies, and the concept of spiritual journeys through different chakras are fascinating for anyone who enjoys fantasy worlds. The dynamics between Jim, Mindu, and Linsa keep the story thrilling, as power, love, and jealousy shape the direction of the plot. The chase by Jod's evil master adds an element of danger. If you love mystical adventures mixed with a dash of eroticism, this book will definitely intrigue you.

Otorongo descends into the depths of the psyche and the spirit. Both Jim’s exploration of his Chakras and the spiritual realm are indicative of his quest for greater purpose and enlightenment. Linsa and Mindu become the embodiment of his hopes and anxieties thus making this more than a physical or a sexual odyssey. The psychological aspects are most pronounced when Jim is torn by his own desires and jealousy, and the dangers that lurk over him. For readers who enjoy digging into the subconscious and exploring the metaphysical implications of love and spirit, this book offers rich, symbolic layers that go beyond the surface.

From a critical standpoint, Otorongo is a challenging read The blend of eroticism, fantasy and spiritualism makes it stand out, but it might be too overwhelming for those seeking a more traditional narrative structure. The characters, predominantly Jim, Linsa and Mindu, are well developed but their bond is thick with jealousy and manipulation. It is quite fast-paced and the introduction of graphic sexual imagery along with the spiritual quest can be quite confusing. But for the readers who are receptive to nonsensical plot lines, this book provides a fresh and weird combination of ideas. It may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but it is certainly captivating. Highly recommended!

Otorongo is a literary adventure that takes risks. This how the book mixes romance, eroticism and mysticism is what makes an interesting melting pot of ideas. Jim and Mindu share a close bond but it is heavily threatened by external forces, such as Linsa’s jealousy and Jod’s villainous maestro. Excluding romance, the Chakra system allows for another narrative paradox where the figurative interpretation of love is about self-actualization. For the readers who enjoy avant-garde writing, this book goes beyond the expectations of the genres and contains layered storytelling. This book challenges conventional genre norms and offers a rich, symbolic narrative. Must try!

Otorongo is for you if you are in pursuit of an adventure. Each of Jim’s ventures into an alternate spiritual territory is a shocker – there are beautiful sights, and there are fearful challenges. It is the love for Mindu that helps propel the plot. However, the antagonistic forces present such as the threat from Linsa, Jod’s master and others keep one hopping. The genre of erotic fantasy also adds dimension to the quest, making it a fun very crazy journey. Anyone who appreciates love and adventure and the will to survive in this love against all odds will find this book appealing. If you enjoy stories of love and survival in extraordinary circumstances, this book will not disappoint.

I wrote this book and I didn't write this book. It was not an ordinary author experience. I know. I've written other novels and they weren't like this.

The book is written in the form of a screenplay. It's fundamentally all dialog not set off by quotation marks with parentheticals to set scenes and describe action. It was actually not written at all, but spoken. The people who speak are Jim, Linsa, Mindu, and others. All of the speakers except Jim are spirits. They just speak. Nothing prepares the reader for this. The only device that allows the reader to identify who is speaking is that they frequently address one another by name. One of the most interesting features of editing the thousand or so pages of dictation I had amassed down into a readable (334 page) novel format was working out ways to keep the reader oriented to who is speaking. Besides often addressing each other by name, some of the "characters" speak in unique dialect. One of them speaks exclusively nonsensically. Another stutters.

Although written in the (loose) form of a screenplay, Otorongo could never be made into a movie unless it was an animated film. First of all, there is a staggering amount of sex. There is talk about sex, parentheticals describing sex, and talking while having sex. Sex is all Jim and his spirit friends are interested in. And they're very interested in it. Is it pornography? Of course! But then again, maybe it's not. Is it romance? It does qualify. It's about sex, jealousy, betrayal, and eternal love. On the other hand, there's lots of crude language and it's rarely romantic. Is it fantasy? Presumably. It's definitely a work of the imagination. But since most of Otorongo is being overtly imagined by Jim and company, in a sense it's not fantasy. It's real fantasies. Is it fiction? Not exactly. The setting is Jim's actual life, mainly driving around from one job to the next, all over the Bay Area, spending long hours in his car. Nonfiction there. And then channeling these conversations with Linsa and other spirits while he's driving around, dictating it all into a digital voice recorder.

So that's what it is. Something entirely new. Experimental. Unknown. Crazy. Check it out.

I've been writing since I was 15 and I'm now 69. I majored in English, but it turned into more of a creative writing major. Since college I've written novels, short stories, poetry, nonfiction, journals. Never been published. Otorongo is self-published. Be prepared. I never want anybody to understand what I'm talking about. It takes a special kind of reader to go along with this. So far I haven't found one.

A bizarre, intensely erotic spiritual journey, Otorongo is best described as an acid trip gone horribly wrong, or perhaps, perfectly right.

In the first sentences, the author introduces Linsa, Jim’s sexy muse who also possesses some rather spectacular physical assets. Jim and his muse/spirit guide are about to embark on a journey that begins with meeting Riane, an escaped spirit slave who lives with Jod, a demon that Linsa has been spending time with. Jod is also an escaped spirit slave, one whose evil master will stop at nothing to track him down.

At Linsa’s insistence, Jim follows her on an adventure into his Third Chakra. They travel through a twisted, erotic version of Oz and follow a silver thread to find themselves in Jod’s castle. They enjoy an intense spirit orgy, where Jim meets and falls for Mindu, another spirit slave.

Linsa’s jealousy of Mindu and conniving ways send Jim farther into the spirit world, where he encounters more strange characters and winds up in a dangerous predicament that could end very badly.

Throughout this strange journey, the most prominent feature of the book is the sex. The author does not shy away from boundary pushing sexual acts, including group sex, anal sex, and even non-consensual encounters. It takes a certain amount of courage to dive into Linsa’s world and experience every graphic scene. Although the sex sometimes threatens to overwhelm the story, the plot is unique and entertaining. The trippy descriptions are vivid, the dialogue and characters are quite funny, and humor, philosophy, spirituality, and darkness weave through the mostly sex-driven story.

Strange and oddly enjoyable, Otorongo is for open-minded erotica readers looking for an uncommon reading experience.
