The Day Of: Vengeance picks up following The Day Of: Blackout.
Amid the turmoil of what is going on in the world, Cam has now learned he is about to be a father.... maybe two times over. In addition to that, an old face may be ushering in a new opportunity for our group to regain the lives they once had, or at least to not have to live the lives they have been.... But can it be trusted?
As a newly elected President of the territory, Cam is willing to try anything to not only keep his group safe, but now he has a whole region of people depending on him to make smart choices and do the right things.
As we know with our group.... that's not aways the way things happen. Bad decisions and poor execution of good plans have plagued our group from the start of this mess.... will they finally get something right when the opportunity is upon them? If it is a real opportunity?
- In true The Day Of fashion.... the story is being told directly to you, as the reader, as it's being written for you. - And once again, this story is not for people that do not want to read foul language, hear about war and the death and the destruction that comes with it. - This is not a children's book. - Everyone else, please enjoy!!
Kevin Reid was born in Philadelphia Pa, in the United States. He currently resides in Pocono Lake PA.
The Day Of series, is Kevin Reid's first series, but was not born from any desire on his behalf to be an author.
Kevin suffered a life-threatening injury in 2011, and in order to fill time while recovering, he began loosely writing about topics that would interest HIM to read about. As an avid reader, he always felt like there was something missing from the books he had read.
In 2019, when the COVID19 pandemic hit, he found some of his old writing files, on an old PC, from when he was injured. It was then, that he decided that the idea needed to be revisited. Again, just to fill time while the country was in lockdown. At a certain point, Kevin knew this series was too good to let die on his computer. (We thank him for that realization!)
The series reception has been overwhelmingly positive, with all 4 of the books holding a 5-star rating over ALL platforms. (As of this article's publication.)
His style of writing makes readers feel like they are part of the group. The dialog and flow of that style feel like a normal conversation YOU are having with the MC. This is a trait of Kevin's writing style that is scrutinized for not being "classical writing"...... All while being revered for NOT being "classical writing". You can be the judge of that.
But we highly recommend giving this newbie, upstart author a chance.... you may just find what you have been looking for in an author, and a new book series.
I really like these books. The only thing that gets me is all the 'He said, she said',it is just too much. In this installment we have one man with three women wanting him. Two of them are pregnant. My,what a tangled web. The fighting goes on and a truce might be had. Never trust anyone. Narration by Dan Belmont was well done. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
