A highly entertaining and breath taking adventure in which we once again follow Clay Knight aka Lord Rathoketra as he builds up and fortifies the Kahtsinka Oasis which he had captured preparing for a war with outside forces as well as strife from within! The King of Kyth wants to take taxes from Clay because he said they were part of his kingdom but Clay and his ferocious female guardians will have none of this so they are preparing to go to war with the tax collector and his army, Clay soon discovers that running a town is not that easy as it comes with its own responsibilities and his people expected a lot from him. His first priority is to save Soketra but faced with tax collectors, deranged killers, an army on his doorstep and a frightened little girl who he had taken under his wing were some of the things putting pressure on our group of heroes. He has to get help from some very unlikely allies with whom he makes deals to the chagrin of his female guardians. Seems as though life for Clay would never get easier even though all he wanted was to reign in peace to enjoy the company of his beautiful female entourage! This 3rd book in the series is one not to be missed, prepare yourselves for a thrilling ride from start to finish.

Okay, where to begin?
So the third book in this series continues on feeling much like the first two. Sexy harem of monster girls, expanding the dungeon territory, and overall adding more stuff to Clay's realm. The thing is, this time there is a settlement, and Clay has to deal with that, so we get FAR less in regards to his dungeon, to the point where it feels forgotten about. Now everything is about the settlement and preparing the defenses and solving various issues that crop up.
The antagonist for this book is an interesting one, and sort of a mixed bag. I think a lot could have been done with them (we're talking the tax collector btw), and it felt like he was underused in the overall story. The power behind him seems interesting, especially with what you learn at the close of the book, but we don't end up learning that much until the last couple pages of the book.
Now, I enjoyed the character development of Clay and the women. They were written well, and I overall enjoyed their stories. There is some really good writing there, and it was a pleasure to read. The ending of the book felt very deus ex machina and also rushed. A lot happens, and the author's lack of experience writing large battles shows. (it's not an easy skill and takes a lot of reading of books with large battles in them to see what works and what doesn't.)
The angels were a nice touch (not a spoiler since she is on the cover), but for the amount that they keep appearing in the book, they do next to nothing in the actual final battle, which felt disappointing. Same thing with some of the guardians.
And now to the final thing:
I went looking for when the next book would be released. I even went so far as to reach out to the publishing company to find out what is going on with the series. I heard back, and the news disappointed me. There are no plans to do more of the Dungeon Bringer series. The author has been writing another series under a different name, School of Swords and Serpents Boxset: Books 1 - 3, so I guess he's done with Dungeon Bringer, which is a shame. To be honest, I thought the author was dead as their Facebook group was dead, their website is down, and generally they were radio silent. So I am glad to hear they aren't (from what I could find), and that was a relief.
So Nick, if you ever read this review, I have to say that I enjoyed your series, and I am sad that you aren't continuing it. It was a perfect book to sit down and chill with while camping, drinking coffee in the morning, or spending a Sunday afternoon with. It felt right at home with a lot of light novels being done right now, and I would have loved to have seen the series continue. It also got me into reading physical copies again, after years of just doing ebooks. Thank you for the stories and I appreciate what you gave us.
So yeah, overall, this was a fun series and I recommend it to anyone who has been enjoying Isekai tales or light novels.

Clay never imagined how much taking up the mantle of Lord Rathokhetra would change his life. The Inkolana Cartel is insistent that he follow the orders they've given him to the letter. In his mind, however, doing so means leaving the world he's been creating for himself and Wahket's behind. Deep inside, he knows he can't turn his back on them. They've done so much for him. So much so, that he'll pledge his undying loyalty to them at every turn no matter what comes their way.

A lovely addition to such a unique series, the third book plunges the reader in the midst of the chaos that surrounds Clay and the cat women he's taken under his wing. Nick further fleshes out the world he's created, bringing in a slew of new characters and mobs. Everything the story unveils along the way further strengthens the foundations he put in place from the moment he penned the first book.

I love the fact that the book also stands alone. The author provides us with enough details from the series' previous books, while branching out in all sorts of directions. We also get to see different sides to these complex characters. They've had to deal with so much in so short a time, yet they've made do. It amazes me how resilient they are. What the author will bring next to the table for this series remains to be seen. Nevertheless, I so can't wait!

Hot damn, does Nick know how to turn the heat up

In this third installment you get so much more badassery and kickassness.

Clay is really starting to grow into the mantle of a dungeon lord, little does he know that the struggles he has faced before are just a pittance of what he will be faced with coming up.

I love the character development all the way throughout this story, each and every guardian is just wow, Kez has to be my favorite in this story though. She really seemed to grip something for me....

I dont want to get in to much depth of what happens during the story but if your looking for more dungeon building, upgrading some badasss talents and even some town build well then you definitely came to the right book.

I without a doubt can't wait to get my hands on the next book in this series. This was a absolute stunner I will be eagerly for the next so dammit Nick hurry up and get the next one out.

I'm enjoying the series so far, and this is a good light read. Technically LitRPG I think (there are levels, anyway) and a certain amount of base-building, but it's pretty hand-wavy with the latter, so it doesn't bog the story down. The idea that the changes have odd effects on the sentients caught in the upgrades is an interesting one that I haven't seen explored previously, so that's a new wrinkle. If you liked the preceding books you'll like this one too.

This is a fitting end to this story ARC and a lot easier to get used to Knoxs narration as i remember his previous audio in this series so the change isn't as jarring. The usual blindsiders and twists work great in the audio, as does the struggle and war come more to life as we listen. Hopefully sales get another series arc going as i loved the characters and Clay stands tall as the kinda guy we could all be if give power and used it wisely.

Entertaining Read

Clay (aka Lord Rathokhetra) must build, defend, and rule his settlement to expand the power of his dungeon. It's hard work and requires many tasks he doesn't like. As he brings his problems under control, he gains power and gains the support of powerful allies. I like the action, humor, and romance. I look forward to the next book.

Big Improvement

Finally Clay is ruling big as he gathers his allies, builds his settlement and discovers even more problems and woman to help him rule.
The best in the series yet as the upgrades make a great attention stealer, and the smart plays are still in that he used in the first two books to help carry continuity of his style.

Almost no romance left, but more engaging
Book 1 had lots of sex, Book 2 was gross. Here in book 3 what little sex there is left is implied not shown and there are very few gross out scenes. What we get instead is more balanced narrative, more world building, and more character development. I do miss the boobies, but this might be the best written of the 3 so far.
