HOME : The return to what you already are

Rate this book
Welcome back HOME.

(You have never gone away. It just might sometimes feel like you have.)

This is a book about what we really are and what the world really is.

What we are is Home. This is where what we really are always is.

And it is about the lived experience of not being Home. Of feeling alone, hopeless, scared, low, out of control, shameful, lacking. Lost.

And it is about how trying to find Home, from that place of lostness, makes the experience of lostness worse.

HOME is written to show that what we are is everything already.

That believed separation from what we really are, is the origin of all suffering.

The lived experience of what we are changes as mind, body, thoughts, beliefs, behaviour and understanding settle back Home.

Welcome back.

You’ve been here all along.

Maybe this would have been a better book to read versus listen to. The listening experience was disappointing. The author delivered the content in what seemed to be one long run-on sentence, without inflection, pauses when presenting questions or points to ponder, or any attachment to the words she was reading. Although the words rang true to me in content, there was nothing new presented and it really sounded like a very academic homework assignment without feeling or attachment. Yes, that is somewhat the point as far as an awakening experience, however, living life awake does contain color, and sharing that with someone else feels joyful. I struggled to not drift off in thought elsewhere or fall asleep but the material was inadequate for a meditation. It was just not a great fit for me.

Eye Opening,easy to comprehend

As I go over the 60 some books I’ve read this has been the easiest to understand. Of course those that read this first may find it not as easy as I found it. Going back to Buddha, I can see where he discovered this world is a creation of your mind. The biggest hurdle is to make something understandable to fellow humans.
While what I am going to say is not something from the book, I found it so wonderful to understand.
Don’t wait until life is perfect to be happy.

There is way more food for thought in this book than I was able to digest in one reading. I'm rereading this book, a little each morning and a little each night. Something I would recommend to others as well. Take your time and savor the wisdom here. Clare's words are a beacon of light in a troubled world.

Nicely done

This was the first book I read by Clare Diamond. I’ve previously read several other authors exploring non-dual perspectives. Dimond’s explanation of apparent/perceived reality and fundamental Awareness was well done.

The text would benefit from a good editor. I struggled to make sense of sections at first. Then I realized that the grammar and punctuation was slightly off. It felt as if it were composed orally using software. Having someone insert some commas, remove some leading conjunctions, and apply a little NLP structuring would benefit the text and the readers.

An interesting read

This was an interesting read but very deep and often required sections to be re-read several times. I don’t mean this as negative merely as a note.

Great book. Ready to begin re-reading it.
It is a bit complex to be a first read in finding your way home imo, but a great read if you’re ready to learn our truth.
