One omega, two fiances, three alphas… and the trip of her life.
Jilting your fiancé at the altar isn’t something an obedient omega should do. Luckily, I’m not obedient, but I'm certainly furious and I’ve taken my passport, and instead of going to the Bahamas for my honeymoon, I've cancelled and I’m going to explore Omega Island.
Omega Island Resort
For independent omegas who want to play with similar minded alphas.
We offer anonymity for the guests of the resort.
Leave your inhibitions at the airport, enjoy the fun, and experience your deepest desires.
And then walk away with your memories.
No strings attached.
Excited doesn't go halfway to telling you how I feel. Just imagine it—one week of fun with alphas, if you know what I mean, and hopefully I’ll come home with more than memories.
But before I get to Omega Island, I meet three older alphas, Harrison, Finn and Kingsley, and for the first time in my life, my heart flutters rather than just another part of my body.
I think I found my pack.
And I'm delighted when they say they want me… until I find out their secret.
Lie, lies, lies.
But will these alphas fight for me? Or will they stop the chase when they discover why I really went to Omega Island?
Especially now I know I have nothing left to give.
Isla's story is book three in the Get Knotted series. All books are standalones and you don't need the read the other books, however some books have spoilers for past books.
This book includes primal hunting, biting, mating, knotting, swearing and lots of steamy sexual activity that would be advisable for an 18+ audience.
This is my favorite book in the series. Isla is so sweet and just wants to be loved and cherished. She gets her heart broken and decides that she deserves better. The MMCs value her and work hard to make her know they want HER. There is angst and Isla does have a tough time however the HEA. Is well earned
As the books before, I loved this one, too. Though, I have some minor issues—like I did with the others. Though, I didn't see Isla's story coming. She was mentioned as a friend in Tilly's journey, but the ending hinted at Georgie's book as next.
But then I see this, and was a little confused. Though, I'm not sad about it. Omegaverse is still my favorite genre, and I like Evie Ellis world around this theme. It's well-balanced. We get story, we get the whole battles/struggles, and a lot of tension and hot scenes.
Isla is a character, who is likable and felt humanly. Same with the guys. The love story could be referred to as insta-love, and the scent matching is a hint to fated mates. It's nothing bad, of course. And not an issue anyway, because it builds up to an relationship more slow, because of Isla's inner demons. Something the alphas recognize as well, and therefore, are careful with.
It's, of course, more in the direction of Sweetverse. Nothing dark or anything too heavy.
But that's what I would put as a little complaint as well, though I don't really have an issue with nice little reads. It's just nothing challenging. And more meant as a “hint/warning” for those readers, you search something more.
The only thing, I didn't really like, were regarding Isla. Sure, I loved her still. But I don't like her run and hide attitude. I had wished, that she was a little more forward. She sabotaged herself a lot, too. Okay, as I said in many other books too (I often have problems with the FMCs), I like the fact that characters are realistic and humanly. So, knowing that they tend to do things, that are mistakes and not perfect. Emotions aren't rational, either. And what happened with Noah, did leave a mark. As well as all the years before, where she hid her designation and probably the issues with her family too. And I think she was disappointed a lot in her life. So, I get where that attitude comes from. And I can relate, that she just wants to make it work for her. She is a strong and independent woman so far.
It's just that she gives up on alphas and pack life too easy, and ignores all the signs when it comes to the guys. And then the misunderstanding… I can't believe, that you just take the word from someone other for the pure truth without confronting the other part of the story. She didn't give them a chance for explanation. That could have been solved easily, but again – something I mentioned in Tilly's book as well – it felt like artificial prolonged and unnecessary drama.
The ending is abrupt, like the others before. I really wished we could have seen her with a child now. I mean, that was the whole point of her incentive for her actions. And then we don't see it at all. And I wished there would have been another scenes, after they got together, with Noah and her family. Or what she did now, jobwise.
Overall, it still is a good book. But I'm not sold on it one hundred percent. Therefore, the 4 stars. But maybe Georgie's story will be better. Who knows? Though, I still get it, how she can be that anonymous and hard to find, when she is with a rock band, who is apparently famous. A conundrum for me.
I wasn't sure I was going to continue this series after book 2 but figured why not and read this one..
What a relief I did, the ending of this book! I absolutely hate cliffhangers and had I known there was one I would've waited until the next book was out before reading this one.
Isla has always wanted an alpha, or more specifically a pack. After seeing her best friend happy with her pack and with her babies it has Isla more on edge to have that for herself. She thinks she's getting it but in the end will she?
Harrison, Finn and King have been a pack for so long and waiting for the right omega to come along to complete them. After having a disaster of an omega try to join their pack in the past it comes with a hesitantcy to find another. But then she walks through their door, completely unexpected.
“Because I know she's the one. I feel her and I just know she’s ours.”
If I smelled chocolate, cookies and berries and scent matches were a thing. Man oh man would I be in heaven with those scents. Isla in my opinion hit the jackpot with these three and I even understand what she goes through when she thinks the worst of them but I honestly wanted to reach in and smack her a good one because hello! communication is a thing that needs to happen in order to not get things mixed up. Then when that bitch thinks she's helping but is only making things worse, I almost quit reading then.
Overall this one was better than the last 2, now I cannot wait for book 4 and we finally get Georgies story and we find out what happened to her and what is going to happen now?
She is after all a bonded omega with an alpha who has been searching for her.. I hope there is a happy ending for Saint too and he isn't pushed out because a bond is for life and after seeing what King went through with Isla I can only imagine what Saint went through or is going through every day.
Isla, Get Knotted book three by Evie Ellis is about Isla, an Omega. We've seen Isla in the previous books in this series, just in the background. Isla is all about being an Omega. She wants the Alpha, babies, everything. The problem - Noah only wants some of that. She doesn't see, or want to see, the red flags flying in front of her. When she finally does - she gets outta town. There she meets Harrison, Finn, and finally King. Great story. Sweet, independent FMC. HEA. Looking forward to the next book - I have been waiting to see what has happened to that FMC. Hopefully we'll get to see Isla in future books and see if she had the family she wanted.
This book was too much like a wattpad story, and not one that would get published. While I somewhat enjoyed the spicy scenes and the diversity of the 3 men, it just really came off as written by a high schooler who was obsessed with the A/B/O world. I was confused a lot because the emotions of the characters were not described well and the editing was very lacking. Also, Isla was supposed to be perceived as this head strong omega that didn’t just bend to someone’s whim. But she was so naive that anyone she met and spoke more than 5 words to, she trusted wholeheartedly. It was very contradictory. The angst at the end was so juvenile, I just skimmed the couple chapters involving it.
The omegaverse world is certainly interesting. I enjoyed seeing a bit of continuation from the previous novel with familiar characters and concepts. The whole situation with Isla is easy to empathize with. It was easy to relate to her uncertainty as well as her deep need to be loved and have a family. As things unfolded, I was impressed by the approaches that Harrison, Finn and Kingsley used. It was satisfying the way that all the details came together in the end while hinting at the next novel.
I received an ARC and I am voluntarily sharing my honest review.
Loved this book. Omega wanting to be a mother will do just about anything to get her wish! Fast paced, loved those sneaky alphas, Isla developed well as a character. All the smexy times and steamy scenes of Omegaverse!
I'm not a huge fan of omegaverse books but this book was recommended so I gave it a shot! The writing was great. The storyline, characters, and spice were all done well. I definitely recommend you read it!
Bit disappointed with the book...she goes from one guy to the next, running off when a good conversation could have cleared anything up in a heartbeat.
Really good read, honestly all I could ask for is more! I wish we got to read her heat at the very end but that’s my only complaint.
4/5 ⭐️ 3.5/5 🌶 (maybe 4, can’t decide)
FMC (omega) finds out her husband is cheating so she leaves him at the alter. She goes on her honeymoon on her own, meets a pack that is a “scent match” meaning fated mates. Lots of talk about pregnancy. I wish the alphas would have said they want her either way, instead of just doubting her ability to get pregnant. I really liked the FMC, she was so kind to her cheating fiancé.
- Reverse harem omegaverse - No ⚔️ - Age gap - TW: cheating, talk of pregnancy (this is a trigger warning to me, though I know it isn’t to a lot of people) - No virgins but it was one alphas first time knotting which was fun
I like this series but this book had some issues with editing and the story feels unfinished (and not because of the link to the next story). There should have been more at the end of the book about her family and Noah. Isla is a feisty omega that desires what her best friend has and went off suppressants and started enjoying her Omega side to the fullest until ....... Ok, you will get some story with all the steam and knotting and lots of drama.
So third time is the charm...kind of the charm. It's better than the first two books, but it's still slightly weird. Noah is such a douche, and he deserves to get his ass kicked. It's crazy how many people don't give any thought to what their actions can do to other people. I loved the alphas in this book, and Isla seemed like she wanted to be a badass. Truthfully Isla was just a big softy just like her alphas.
