I thought it was over. I was wrong.

Life has literally thrown me overboard and my worst fear is I won't be able to catch my breath.

The people I've always relied on have betrayed me, and those that I should be afraid of have become more that I ever imagined.

Will Jax, Blake, and Morgan save me or will I have to save myself?

I'm surrounded by water and have two choices... sink or swim.

So yeah, guess who didn’t enjoy this series…. ME! It was disastrous and everyone sucked! The heroine was so annoying and never got better. She still never learned to trust her gut and every time it gets her and anyone around her into trouble. It’s really by sheer luck they have a chance for a HEA. Will it last I dunno? I could not stand her and I was at least hoping for some character transformation in the end and I don’t feel she learned a thing. At least this was a quick read because unfortunately it was not the underwater read I was hoping for. It had its moments but I never really liked the guys, still think they’re dicks. And the heroine, ughhhhhh

This book picks up where book 2 left off, so a new reader will need to start with book 1 in order to not be lost in the series. I'm still having trouble with reviewing this as there was a lot that I felt wasn't addressed correctly to make things "right" (& not just with the characters, but the world building). I did like the series enough to want to read all 3 books, though mostly because it's a unique story. This was a decent conclusion for the series, but there were a lot of things that were confusing in the series as a whole, and in this book in general, that needed more clarification to make the ending work. I felt their were a lot of lose ends that didn't get tied up or work for the story. I still am mad at the bullying that the guys did in book 1, and that it really wasn't resolved to my satisfaction. I also felt like poor Morgan got the shaft, I was hoping Poseidon (or the blood from his son) would fix his tail issues or something... Overall, I'm satisfied that it's ended decently, but disappointed for the mixed things that didn't get addressed for the ending.

I don't really know what to make of these series.

On one note, there was something new to discover - sirens, mermaids, tritons...
But on other note, it felt all superficial. The resolution to conflicts felt shallow. The characters underdeveloped.
I feel empty after reading this series. There is no take-home-value from this. Can count as just read to pass time thing. Barely.

Riley and her boyfriends think they have it figured out, but there are plenty of surprises as the story comes to its conclusion. She learns that they keep her grounded - she doesn't need the symbolic talisman of her people. They fight to the end and find their happily ever after.

The author created an interesting world and characters but this book didn't take advantage of all that was created (in my opinion). The final resolution was interesting but I was expecting so much more.

The story is mature and each chapter alternates between a different characters POV.

A Fun Bully Series

Even though I am not a huge fan of the bully genre, I enjoyed this series. I loved Riley, Ivy, Aiden and Bubba though I would have loved a little more with Bubba, Cecelia and Monty because I am greedy lime that. I liked the setting and the action was well paced. My only small criticism is that even though the ending tied up the major plot points I didn't feel like I got complete closure. Overall, this was a great series and I would recommend.

Tentacle love

The last book left me desperately waiting for this book after the cliffhanger. The third book in the series was explosive from the start. We learn so many truths that have been hidden, true intentions of others, and the history of the sirens and tritons. It’s action packed from start to finish.

Riley has grown so much from the first book. She’s confident and protective. She asks for what she wants and doesn’t take any crap. The steam heats up majorly. Wowza!

There were so many fun scenes from horse back riding and tentacles, to a very satisfying ending. I loved being in this world and excited for more to come. I’ve always felt there was more to her friends.

Multiple POVs. Med-high burn. No cliffhanger.

A good finish to the series. All the questions were answered. The Olivia situation was quite a twist. I really enjoyed the triton/siren dynamics and getting to have a partial underwater adventure.

As soon as i received an ARC of this book i devoured it in one sitting and absolutely loved it! This is the 3rd installment in the Salinity Cove series and this story had some great twists and turns that kept me hooked. Lots of action, adventure, steamy sex scenes...... and tentacles growing out of a vagina...who could ask for more 🤣🤣 Highly recommend this series and can't wait to read more from this author 🧜‍♀️🦈🧜‍♂️🦭

2.5 confused stars

Still not sure what compelled me to finish this series that seemed so meh to me but i did appreciate that the pacing was fast enough no to bore me. Ultimately I didn't feel much connection to any of the characters and kept mixing up Blake and Morgan. All the characters needed more fleshing out to make me care about them getting their HEA. Even Finn and Riley's mom's reunion felt flat although I was looking forward to it. Long story short, Poseidon's a dick. The end.

Good read

The series overall was a good take to mer-folk. I loved Riley's transition in becoming more confident.
The only reason I give it 4 stars is because I feel like the fight scene/confrontation needed more. Also needed a better closure.

Short overview of the series 🌟 🌟🌶🌶

I don't particularly enjoy reading about high school romances. This is just my preference. I also don't feel like the characters lived like high school students, but more so college students. Virtually no parents around and Riley being able to just carry everything without guidance.

Riley's mom sucked. She completely left Riley in the dark about literally everything and behaved very erratically.
Jax's dad being so obsessed with Riley's mom all these years later despite having had a wife and everything else going on... it was kind of pathetic. He was more concerned about her and his petty revenge than being there for his son.
Unless I missed it, I don't really understand what exactly made Poseidon lock away the sirens? I feel like there were some plot holes here.
The ending of the book was extremely sudden and I guess we'll never know about Riley going to college even though throughout the whole series we hear about her grades and applying to colleges and whatnot.

This book was okay, but I don't think I would really recommend it. I liked Arbor Falls (Ivy's story) much better.

Maya Nicole is one of my favorite authors. Everything she writes is different and refreshing and she always comes up with these characters that you never see coming. This 3rd and final book was truly the culmination that Salinity Cove needed....I wanted more of course, but who doesnt when a book ends. This last book pulled all the pieces together in a way that made you happy for the characters while in the same breath wondering how they were going to get out of the situations they were faced with. Jax, Blake, and Morgan are so different in their mannerisms, their looks, their approach to life but it just meshes well with Riley. I love how stong she became and how she accepted what she is. And the outer characters as well. You just came to love them so much even when you had doubts.. The steaminess of this last book was off the charts...I was reading with my mouth open and what never ever thought would happen between them but they always say that love of a good women can end wars..This one did...This was fabulous and everyone needs to read it.

Series Review:

I was so sucked into Riley and the guy’s story that I read the entire trilogy in three days so this is a review for the Salinity Cove series as a whole haha!

Phenomenal. Five stars across the board. Couldn’t have asked for a better series to kick off my Summer TBR! My only complaint is now I’m going to struggle to move onto the rest of my Summer TBR because I NEED to read Ivy and Olivia’s stories. Honestly at this point I might just need to give up on my TBR until I’ve finished Maya Nicole’s interconnected series. This is my ENTIRE personality now, no one bother me until I’ve finished. I’m about to make Salinity Cove everyone’s problem. You’re welcome.

Emerge

Continuing story of Riley who is half siren and half human. Her mates, Jax, Morgan, and Blake, are merman. Poseidon's son was supposed to be a myth that was killed at birth. Everyone finds out that he was not killed but taken to Zeus to be raised but things happened to him to make him bitter against his father. He has been in the background trying to kidnap Riley so that he can take over by killing his father and releasing the sirens that are in prison. He wants to change the world.
Things do not go as planned for Dylan, Poseidon's son, and everyone goes thru a lot of suffering and anguish before they can figure out how to stop Dylan.
This was a very exciting series to read and look forward to books that have Riley's childhood friend and her story.

So once I again I got the entire series, sat up and binged it in one night, and yes, it's the morning after and yes, I am writing one review and posting it to all three books, because, up ENTIRELY too late.

I thought the author did a great job with the bullying, attraction, etc. I also enjoyed the Triton/Siren angle, that's a new one for me. It was also a slightly different path to a reverse harem since Riley did most of the pushing for that one. It was suggested to me off an IG ad, and I have learned to become leery of those, but this series is well worth it.

Just a side not from team Morgan here, Poseidon saved and healed her mom, but couldn't fix his tail! Seriously, dude deserved better.

Reluctant Bully Romance

I made the mistake and read Ivy’s book prior to this one. Now I see it is a series and follows characters in the first series, this one. The MMCs are so reluctant to bully the FMC and you can’t exactly blame see it from the beginning. She isn’t exactly a baddie, but eventually gains confidence. If you enjoy paranormal romance this is one I’ve not read before but really enjoyed. It’s hard to say too much without giving the entire story away. It does have multiple POVs eventually. Great side characters. Amazing plotline. I read Ivy’s books a couple of years ago, but I’m not going to read any further. I think I like more mature books. These young, really young adults at 18 and in high school just isn’t my personal jam.

Update

I actually started with the series about ivy first before reading this one. But I'm glad I came back and red it cause overall it was very good. This story is full of details and it's a bit of a wild ride because some of these characters keep you guessing. I'd love to see a novella or even a little additional book about these characters and their lives that happen in the 8 yrs between the end of this series and the glimpses we get of the in ivy's story. it feels like there are still some things in their lives I'd like to see play out. Overall a good book with an HEA would recommend.

Ok, so last book in the Salinity Cove trilogy... It was everything I needed! There was lots of action and kept me on the edge of my seat. There was a nice balance of plot and spice as well.

This is the final story for Riley, Jax, Blake and Morgan. All the characters have grown since book one, and I absolutely LOVE all of them. This book was intense. Everything that has been happening in the last couple books (and I guess for years in their world) is coming to a head.

I loved this series! If you haven't picked it up yet, add it to your tbr. It is an aquatic based pnr, BUT there isn't a lot underwater until the last book.

Ok now diving into another Maya Nicole book...

3.5 🌟

DNF chapter 11

I throw my towel down here. Plot is sloppy, every scene is cut short and next starts with completely somewhere else.

One H has dick piercings and we are only told it’s there once and I even forgot they were there until third book when it’s mentioned again, just mentioned by one of the H’s , never during the sex.

Characters are young, immature and too stupid to live. What kind of soldiers they are, constantly crying there and simping around not knowing what to do.

It was good until it lasted.

Wow

I feel like I needed this ending more than I thought I would. There was a lot going on through the three books but I HAD to know how things would conclude. It was a crazy ride for sure but it was really good. The way the story wrapped up worked perfectly with the storyline. There was definitely more in this book than the rest when it comes to twists and turns but I really enjoyed it and couldn’t put it down til there was a resolution. Definitely a series/book I will read again. In the future.

The last book in Riley, Jax, Blake and Morgan's story and I was absolutely hooked from start to end. I had been so excited to get this book to see how it all goes and it truly did not disappoint at all. In fact in was honestly was freaking better than I imagined it'd be. These characters are just so amazing and enjoyed the fact that Riley accepted what she was and how strong she became, with the guys at her side the entire time.

Whilst I do love Maya Nicole's books and they keep me reading and I get through them really fast, this is the second of her series where I have felt like the conclusion doesn't give the answers to everything and leaves you somewhat unsatisfied.

However, these are really fun reads. This one I think didn't live up to the promise of the first two and I would have loved an epilogue that gave something of an idea for what life was like down the line.

Freakin' Amazing!

You HAVE to read this series!!!!! Then afterwards go and start "Wolf forgotten".... I am SO hooked!!!!!!! I don't normally like to read books where they start off in high school or academy books (this is not an academy book), but I'm so glad I gave this series a chance because it was exciting and steamy!

Last book and I'm sad to see them go, the ending felt like the beginning so who knows in the future or maybe a short story *hint hint*

If you like mystical beings but a bit different, a bit of bully, kickass woman coming into her own, betrayal but not really and a HEA then this series is for you!

The worst book in the trilogy. Author rushed everything while not properly developing anything. Relationships are very vague and superficial, betrayals layer up on each other, yet none get resolved, forgiveness gets handed out to everyone deserving or not and sex scenes overpower whats left. And those scenes are not even good.

Bleh, sutch a dissapointment.
