One Weekend

Rate this book
One weekend is all it took for me to fall head over heels, irrevocably in love. Too bad one weekend is all we could ever have.

I first saw him from across the pool. He was tall with luminous dark brown skin and an insanely chiseled body. Even from way across the pool, I could tell he was gorgeous.

I WANTED HIM

He wanted me too but he'd come to Puerto Vallarta to clear his head and make some major decisions about his future, not get involved with a woman.

BUT I HAD TO HAVE HIM

So, I made a proposition. One weekend together, no strings attached, no exchanging of information and when it's over we both walk away.

IF ONLY IT WAS THAT EASY....

One Weekend has been sitting on my TBR since the Boozy Book Tour, and I’m so glad I finally picked it up because… whew. Rowdy Rooksy knows how to deliver tension, chemistry, and a cliffhanger that snatches your breath right out of your chest.

From the moment Cam stepped onto the page, I was invested. He’s the perfect blend of considerate, protective, and quietly intense—and the scene where he goes into that cave to rescue Rachel? Yeah, that hooked me immediately. I also loved that he doesn’t instantly give in to his attraction. That restraint made the pull between them feel even more powerful and believable.

Rachel is such a compelling character in her own right. Their chemistry feels alive—magnetic, messy, and impossible to ignore. I usually side-eye anything that even resembles cheating, but this situation had layers, and honestly… “we were on a break” might actually apply here. Their connection leaps off the page, and their dynamic felt so emotionally charged that I couldn’t help rooting for them.

The writing is smooth, the pacing tight, and the entire story feels like a slow burn you don’t realize is scorching you until it’s too late. By the time I hit the cliffhanger, I was fully in my feelings and scrambling for the next page.

A passionate, addictive read with characters who practically climb out of the book.

Hot

What do you get when two people, dealing with life decisions on how to move forward, meet on vacation in Mexico? You get an agreement to ignore the outside issues for one weekend and separate at the end, with no hard or soft feelings, but pages upon pages of blazing chemistry and hot encounters everywhere they go. Good sexy read. Waiting patiently on part II.

3.75/stars interesting

The story was an interesting romp in the sheet tale. I did not feel a lot of storyline between the couple other than the horizontal checks constantly. I'll see how the next one reads.

One Weekend

This definitely was a Good Read. There was steamy romance and fun and a beautiful relationship between Cam and Rachel. I hope that they make their way back to each other. I most definitely would recommend this book to read.

This one is a cliffhanger. I like how at the end, the author says "Don't come for me!" that she will have part two of this book in early 2022...It's June 2022 Rowdy...Leh-go! :)
