Dina Blake surpassed bookworm status before she hit puberty. She's a book anaconda and doesn't mess around when it comes to devouring her prey. Armed with her ornery chihuahua, Nacho, Dina maintains a life of relative solitude, despite living downtown in Canada's most populous city. She's content keeping her nose in a book and people at a distance. The only thing that comes from letting anyone in, is loss. She learned that lesson years ago. Her focus is on pursuing her master's in library science, right where it should be.

Until someone doesn't respect the importance of a due date. And, ay chihuahua, he's annoying.

Holden Edwards is serious about History. He's committed to obtaining his PhD and locking down a job that will further future generations' understanding of the past. But when he lands on the bad side of an intriguing mystery woman and her angry ankle biter, he's suddenly more concerned about his present.

Can he win over both persnickety strangers? Or will they be relegated to his history?

This sweet romantic comedy is the perfect choice for a relaxing read and can be read as a standalone or as part of the A New Leash On Life Series.

Tiffany was born and raised in a small town in Muskoka, Ontario, spending much of her childhood outdoors. She moved to attend McMaster University for Psychology at age seventeen. After university, she met her husband, and rather than pursuing a career, opted to stay at home to raise their two daughters. Since 2013 she has homeschooled her girls, and as they became more independent in their learning, Tiffany was seeking out ways to make use of her time. She opted to study to become a freelance proofreader since she was a voracious reader. Once her proofreading business was established, she dove into editing courses, and rather than focus exclusively on editing, she took creative writing classes to be able to better understand the writing process.
As it turned out, she loved that process.
Her first novel, We're All a Little Broken was written largely based on her own life and struggles with mental illness, which she wanted to share to help others like her not feel alone.
While she didn't pursue a career in psychology, it's still very much an area of interest, and shedding light on mental health is something she is very passionate about.

I already know what to expect from Andrea because she has become an auto-buy author for me.
This one didn’t disappoint.

A meet-cute romcom.
With two people super focused on their education and with no time for any distractions, Dina and Holden literally run into each other. Sparks fly in more ways than one and I smiled a lot, chuckled some, and loved the whole story. I do admit that I wanted to slap Holden silly at one point for being an idiot. Thank goodness, he did later redeem himself.

So throw together two determined, hyper focused people, a crazy chihuahua who loves squirrels, and a great supporting cast, and you’ve got yourself a great read.

Keep ‘em coming, Tiffany! ❤️❤️

I have read all of Tiffany's books and I have to say that I just love her wit.

This is the second book in her "A New Leash on Life" RomCom series, and this book does not disappoint with several laugh out loud moments, along with the swoony moments.

Tiffany has also used this book to have some "real talk" about a very serious topic, which I won't spoil here; just know it's very timely.

Well done, Tiffany!

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I don't know how I missed this release, but I was thrilled when it popped up in an Amazon email to suggest it.
Just want to say, I enjoyed Total Bull immensely, but this one, I'd give 1000 stars if I could. It could possibly be my favourite rom-com to date. It was so witty and fun. Not without its share of drama and heartache. I lean toward books that don't have a ton of drama, but I've come to love this author's writing so much, I'll take whatever she throws at me.
Highly recommend.

This was a fun romcom. Don’t judge the book by the cover! It does have a dog in it, a lot, but it is about Holden and Dina. Both are library nerds and students. I loved the journey in this story. And the drama that threatens their happy budding relationship was a complete surprise! OMG! Totally unexpected! But wow, everything was great. I did love the dog and his squirrels. Sweet & funny story that I highly recommend.
Rating: PG, clean, has some drama and people with emotional baggage but heartwarming.

Nacho is my new favorite book dog. He's feisty and funny. I loved his addition to the story. Holden and Dina were so adorable, and I really loved the way the author worked in Charles Dickens and War and Peace references. I'd never listened to the Offspring before, so that was also a cool addition to the story.

Macho and Dina

Sometimes people and animals come into our lives for a season...sometimes it's forever. Enjoy this delightful book as Holden aka Dickens meets Dina and her fiercely loyal protector Chihuahua, Nacho.

This was super cute! As a librarian with chihuahuas, I felt like this book was oddly written for me! I love that it was a cute, romance without a lot of smut. I would read the rest in the series.
