The Lucille Pfiffer Mystery Series Books 1-5 - a review by Rosemary Kenny

Tanya R Taylor's blind amateur sleuth Lucille Pfiffer has a secret ability - she can 'see' thanks to her psychic power and talk to ghosts as easily as she can to her friends and neighbours.
Read her first five 'cases' in which she's giving Miss Marple a run for her money, fictionally speaking!

Book 1: BLIND SIGHT
When a young woman falls to her death from an upstairs balcony at Lucille's home during an anniversary party, (at which she's the guest of honour), the assumed killer - for it was definitely murder - is the boyfriend of the victim, lodging in Lucille's home and the son of her best friend Merlene!
Whatever is Lucille and her faithful four-legged friend, (Va)nilla, to do to solve the dilemma?

Book 2: BLIND ESCAPE:
One thing's for sure, Lucille Pfeiffer's life is not dull in any way, shape or form - despite being a blind pensioner.

A supposedly relaxing, free boat trip with friends, leads to tragedy and a murder-mystery to solve. In that respect Lucille's like Jessica Fletcher or Miss Marple, as she seems to attract killers/victims wherever she goes! She's also pledged to solve another mystery for her 'spirit guide' Sir Clement.

What help does Sir Clement give Lucille?
What is the vital clue that solves a murder?

BOOK 3: BLIND JUSTICE:
Justice is traditionally depicted on Court buildings as a blind female figure, meaning she's supposed to be unbiased and make her judgements are based solely on the evidence she hears.
With this in mind, Tanya R.Taylor has cleverly made Lucille ostensibly completely blind too.
Yet she has 'inner sight' given to her by the resident ghost of her neighbour's grandfather, Sir Clement Tucker.
The phantom has become a close friend to Lucille and persuaded her, (in tandem with her verbose pal Merlene Bostwick and faithful, loving Shi Tzu (Va)nilla, to finally uncover the whole truth about who murdered him in his prime.
What happens when the trio gets too close for someone's liking?
Villains beware - the truth will out, when Lucille/Blind Justice is on the case!

Book 4: BLIND FURY
Old, blind, (in the physical sense), widowed Lucille Pfiffer has much to be furious about - absent friends, incompetent, insolent law-enforcers, anxious lodgers and a yardful of unexpected night-time visitors, who seem to have no respect whatsoever for Lucille's age, reputation or privacy.

Were it not for her faithful four-legged friend, (Va)nilla and some invaluable help from an unexpected quarter, what would our unique version of 'Miss Marple' do?

Whisk yourself off to the 'happy hunting-grounds' of your nearest bookstore today and spy out a copy of Tanya R. Taylor's Blind Fury to find out - it's a spooky story of sorts, that will warm your heart and make you glad, to know that Lucille (and friends) are on the case once more!

BOOK 5: BLIND FLAMES:
Lucille Velma Abigail Pfiffer is being called on to save her home and her neighbourhood too, after the terrifying vision of a devastating fire leaves her trembling.

Reluctance to worry her nearest and dearest, means Lucille must call on more unusual assistance, to prevent a catastrophe of epic proportions. A petition to try and sway the mayor into backing Lucille's campaign is drawn up and duly signed by the majority - but Mayor Bradley still doesn't want to know - until she comes up with Plan D!

What will happen next?
Who's the anonymous whistleblower?
Has someone in Harriet's Cove taken revenge?

A thrilling whodunnit with supernatural overtones, starring Lucille Pfiffer in Blind Flames is not to be missed this Halloween. Hop on your broomstick and pop on your cloak before flitting off to spirit away your spookily spell-binding copy today - you'll go 'batty' til you do!

Don't miss Tanya R Taylor's fantastic new box set at any cost, or you'll be kicking yourself, as everyone is sure to be talking about it soon -
what are you waiting for?
Go get it - and don't forget a doggy treat for 'Nilla too!

Loved the series

I really enjoyed these books and the characters. They were all so full of surprises and characters with so many different personalities. It felt good to be taken into a different level of reality.
