My hot Vegas one-night stand who was supposed to disappear without a trace is apparently not just my brother’s best friend, but in some crazy twist of fate...he’s my new roommate.
Now his reputation is at stake thanks to defamatory headlines courtesy of his evil ex. To prove he’s the Prince Charming of pro football, I volunteer to marry him—purely as a business transaction, of course.
With sneaky siblings, a family vacation with a surprise wedding, dramatic exes, and real feelings starting to develop, what could possibly go wrong? It looks like all the Lucky Charms in the world won’t be enough to fix this mess.
Lisa Suzanne is an Amazon Top Ten Bestselling author of swoon-worthy superstar heroes, emotional roller coasters, and all the angst. She resides in Arizona with her husband and two kids. When she's not chasing her kids, she can be found working on her latest romance book or watching reruns of Friends.
Home Game Vegas Aces Book One Ms. Suzanne has started a new football series. This first book is funny at times, romantic, and full of surprises. I loved how close Ellie and her brotherJosh are, and he is marrying her best friend Nicki. Josh plays football for the Vegas Aces so the wedding is being held in Las Vegas. I loved that Josh wanted his sister around and talked her into moving to Las Vegas. Since she just lost her job in Chicago (that is an embarrassing moment), Ellie figures she has nothing to lose. It gets even better when Josh tells her she can stay with his teammate that lives right across the street until she can find a job. There are so many things that happen to Ellie as she had weird luck. There are a few things that I laughed out loud. Josh’s friend Luke that Ellie is staying with has a great body and is so handsome. I feel bad for Luke as I can tell he had bad luck in the past with women. There is a surprise at the end. I can’t wait for the next book to see what is going to happen next! I strongly encourage you read the book. I was given a copy and voluntarily wrote a review.
Long Game Book Two This story continues with Luke and Ellie. I think Ellie is a little immature and has her head turned easily. She’s had a crush on Luke for awhile. I don’t think she realizes how hard it is going to be to keep her feelings out of what the two planned. I know pretending to be his fiancée is her way of helping him since he has helped her so much. But Luke is so private, I feel she has to pull things out of him. His family is something else. I did like his little sister. There are things going on between Luke and his brother Jack that are not clear yet. I just hope Ellie knows what she is doing. I can’t wait for the next book! I was given a copy of the book and voluntarily wrote a review.
Fair Game Book Three The saga continues. Luke sure frustrates me a lot with how he acts toward Ellie. He is very closed off and he is up and down towards her. I can’t stand his brother Jack or his parents. I get frustrated with Ellie when I feel like she is falling for Jack’s innuendos that he wants Ellie. There is definitely some secret going on in that family that Ellie nor her brother knows about. But Jack is sure working against Ellie and Luke. When Luke is sweet to Ellie, I am pulling for him. Luke does do some super sweet actions for Ellie. The end is another cliffhanger that I can’t wait to read the next book. I encourage you to read the book as you can’t come this far and stop! I was given a copy of the book and voluntarily wrote a review.
Waiting Game Book Four I was so glad to see Luke and Ellie getting along better and both working on their marriage. I hated how Michelle is trying to get between Luke and Ellie. I don’t trust or like her, and I feel she is up to something. I feel Michelle is working with Jack against Luke. I don’t understand it or how Jack can be so cruel to his brother. I didn’t want to put the book down. Something happens at the end that breaks my heart. I can’t wait for the last book! I strongly encourage you to read the book. I was given a copy and voluntarily wrote a review.
End Game Book Five I have been waiting on pins and needles for this book! It did not disappoint. If you read the last book, you know that Luke’s knee was injured pretty bad on the field. Ellie was so good about helping Luke and showing him what loved looked like. There were times I wanted to yell at Luke for the way he was treating Ellie. I was so glad that some important people to Luke told Ellie not to let him treat her so bad. Boy was he surprised when she fought back. I felt bad because she really had something important to tell him, but there was always an interruption. I was so happy with the test results of who the father was of Michelle’s baby. There was some heart wrenching news that ended up helping Luke’s family. If you have been reading this series, then you must read this book. I was given a copy and voluntarily wrote a review.
⭐️ Vegas Aces: The Complete Series Books 1-5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️🌶️ 🎤🎤🎤🎤🎤 Audio release date: Jan 7, 2025 Narrated by Summer Roberts Length: 20h 16m
I received an ALC of this, over 20 hours of listening and let me tell you, I enjoyed every minute of it! Summer Roberts did a phenomenal job narrating this series! As a single pov series she carried the story making it engaging, fun and easy to listen to. She had such great vocal charisma and was able to capture all the emotions and feelings. The bratty and cattiness, the spice, the hurt, the tension, the vulnerability, the love, the confusion, and the betrayal throughout the 5 books was impressive. This was a whirlwind of a read with a lot of drama and she was able to portray it all so well. I honestly didn’t want to stop listening.
The series follows Ellie as she recently loses her job and decides to move to Vegas to be closer to her brother who plays for the Vegas Aces football team. He finds her a place to live with his best friend and neighbor. Upon arriving to Vegas, Ellie is out celebrating with the girls for her soon to be sister in law’s bachelorette party, Ellie decides she’s ready to have a one night stand and finds a hottie at the club to spend the night with. The next day, Ellie is ready to move on from the steamy one night and instead discovers she is intimately familiar with the best man and now her new roommate Luke. Though she’s attracted to Luke, he is divorced, recently single and not looking to commit. With two ex’s already looking to do anything they can to cause him trouble he’s not looking to be anything but friends and roommates with Ellie. But in a moment of anger, Luke tells his ex-girlfriend he’s engaged to Ellie which spiral into a full media circus. This series follows Ellie and Luke’s story as they go from a one night stand to being roommates, fake engaged, marriage of convince, forced family fun, a marriage of convenience that’s interrupted with accusations that it’s a sham, and navigating tragedy. I really enjoyed this book. It was light, fun, and full of drama. I really enjoyed Ellie’s character. She was the fun, witty, and relatable. She was the bubbly fun friend all girls need to have but also super smart and caring and not afraid to laugh at how ridiculous she is sometimes. I really enjoyed following her and Luke’s relationship as it developed and how she continued to support him through all the issues. There was certainly a full cast of characters trying to break them apart in their own ways but it was nice to see them navigate everything that was thrown at them and continue to grow. There was a lot of laughing and at times wondering what the hell are you thinking this isn’t going to go well (iykyk with Michelle). Luke is the brothers best friend and neighbor who is dreamy, steamy and acts like a prince charming but he could also be secretive, cautious and protective of his personal life. He’s definitely been burned before and not just by his ex-wife and ex-girlfriend but also by his family. Luke and Ellie certainly had their ups and downs and adventures throughout these 5 books but it was so enjoyable watching them truly fall in love and put in the work to stay together. I really hope there is more books for the various other characters on the Vegas Aces because I’m not sure I’m ready to be done with these characters! Thank you to Valentine PR and Lisa Suzanne for the opportunity to listen and review this series.
I went into this series thinking each book was about a different couple, but it's the same one across all 5 books, which I was obviously hooked on, since I devoured the entire series in 48 hours!
The narration was great, I often forgot that someone was reading me a book, and it was more like hearing someone tell me their life story, which I enjoyed! Ellie is fierce and not afraid to state her opinions, which she needs in the sports world. There were times I wanted to smack some sense into Luke, but I loved seeing things from his POV as well.
The author timed the cliffhanger ending perfectly with each book, making the reader unable to stop. I love a good fake relationship that allows the characters to gradually develop a genuine friendship, and this definitely does that. This is one series I'd gladly read again!
Home Game, Long Game, Fair Game, Waiting Game, and End Game are the five books in the Vegas Aces series - and they are stories you do not want to miss out on!! Sexy Ellie and Hot Luke bring the heat throughout each story and I couldn't help but fall for them. I absolutely loved the journey that Ellie and Luke took over the course of this series. They had their ups and downs, but even when Luke kept pushing Ellie away, you just knew that he truly did love her.
Truly, this series could not have been a more perfect start and introduction to the Vegas Aces world!! It's an addicting world with fantastic characters - and I can't wait to see what comes next!
This was my first series by Lisa Suzanne and I devoured it. You can now get the complete series all in one. I listened to the audio and LOVED all 20 hours of it. The narrators brought the story to life impeccably. Sexy Ellie and Hot Luke bring so much to the table. I loved following their ups and downs in this fake marriage, brothers best friend, one night stand to lovers series.
Having read a bunch of Vegas Aces books. It was a treat to finally read Luke and Ellie's story. I just wish it had been Dual POVs and narrators. Ellie did get on my nerves somewhat.
The Vegas Aces is a 5 star series and a great start to the Vegas Aces world.
Home Game 5 laugh-out-loud stars!
I'm so used to reading rockstars from Lisa Suzanne (which I love), but this time around her serious is hitting another one of my favorites--sports romance!
Home Game takes place in one of my favorite cities (Las Vegas), and is a best friend's little sister laugh-out-loud romance. We are introduced to Ellie Nolan when she's in a compromising position and let's just say it sets the tone for the rest of the book. That moment of seduction and need leads her to uproot her life and move to Las Vegas where her brother is a wide receive for the Vegas Aces. He's getting ready to get married to her best friend and convinces her to move to Vegas. But, he doesn't have room for her, so he convinces his best friend to house her.
When she gets to Vegas and the celebrations begin, she finds out she's the only one in the bridal party who hasn't had a one-night-stand. Well, that needs to be rectified! She finds the hottest guy she's ever seen, and well, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas! Or does it?
Ellie was witty, relatable and honestly made me feel like she could be my BFF from just a few pages in. The amount of times I got secondhand embarrassment for her while reading this book was unreal (though let's be honest, her situations were often hilarious), and it's amazing how Lisa made me care so much about Ellie!
Enter Luke Dalton. The brother's best friend and another wide receive on the Aces. How does he meet Ellie? Well that my friends, you have to read and figure out. But he's a dreamy, steamy guy with what seems to be a heart of gold. He is cautious and very secretive, protective of his personal life given his life in the public eye. However, when he blurts something out in anger and frustration, he takes Ellie with him on a crazy trip.
I cannot wait for the next book. I haven't been so excited to read the next book in a series in a very long time, and I cannot wait until it's on my Kindle to see what happens to Ellie and Luke next. What a fantastic start to a new series for Lisa Suzanne!
As always, YMMV, but I highly recommend this one to whoever is looking for a laugh-out-loud sports romance!
Long Game 5 twisty-stars.
This book picks up right where the other left me dangling in need. Ellie and Luke find themselves in a web of lies and a huge conundrum, and figure the only way to get out of it is to take a fake engagement and make it a fake marriage. They're in Vegas, why not?!
Well, it gets a little complicated when Luke is tangled in a web with two other women, in different ways, one of which could get him in hot water with his boss. Add in the fact that Ellie is falling for him, what will a fake marriage do to her poor heart?
Ellie wears her heart on her sleeve, whereas Luke, for good reason, keeps his sheltered and guarded. He's a private, mysterious guy, and I'm in for the ride with Ellie on cracking that nut! I want to know what makes him tick, and we got a glimpse of that in this one with his whackadoodle family. Wow. They're a real piece of work!
I devoured this book well into my sleeping hours, and didn't sleep until I finished. Now I'm eagerly waiting to lose more sleep in book 3! I can't wait to see what happens next. Do they go through with their hairbrained plan? Does Luke admit feelings for Ellie (besides the obvious chemistry)? Does Ellie get the fairytale and the prince she's always wanted? So. Many. Questions. I can't wait to get answers!
What I also loved about this book, was that it was different and fresh. It still had the humor from book one, but also dove into a little more drama.
As always, YMMV, but once you read Home Game, you're going to want to one-click this one right after!
Fair Game 5 gimme-the-next-book-now stars!
I finished the book I had been reading at midnight last night. The adult thing to do would've been to go to sleep and read this one the following day. But I've been waiting for the next part of Luke and Ellie's story and I was not going to be denied another minute! I stayed up until I finished this one.
Oh my goodness. This book picks up right where the last one left off. Ellie making a decision whether or not to take up Jack's (Luke's brother) offer when he hit on her. He's attractive, she's not getting any from her fiance, and she's hurt and left wanting. Does she do it? If she does, does Luke find out? Oh the suspense.
After decisions are made there, Jack remains relentless in his pursuit of Ellie, for no other reason than to one-up his brother. Luke's family continues to cause problems all over the place--horses which scare Ellie, Jack and Luke fighting in public, Kaylee overhearing things she shouldn't overhear, the serious disapproval of Luke's parents. Oh boy!
Ellie is so deeply in love with Luke and sure that he's it for her, that she puts herself through a lot. She takes a lot from his family, and frankly she takes a lot of crap from him. However, he has moments where he really is her prince, like when he rescued her from the horses or when he called Josh and Nicki and her parents because he knew how alone and scared she was feeling.
Josh is adamant that Luke is in love with Ellie, but he's beaten her over the head with the mantra that he can't give her what she wants and that he'll never truly get married again, that she doesn't believe him.
There's an aisle in this book... does Ellie go through with it? Does she get cold feet? Can Luke put her through a fake-wedding knowing she has feelings for him, or does he care enough about he that he can't go through with it either? Is everyone else going to let them go through with it, or will someone object?
There's another big, shocking reveal at the end of this one. I can't wait to get my hands on book 4! My only hope is that Luke realizes he has the perfect woman for him in front of him and works the next two books to prove it to her. Fingers crossed!
As always, YMMV, but if you've made it to book 3, you know you're going to devour all five!
Waiting Game Gahhh this book! 5 stars!
This was my favorite book in the series thus far. I LOVED it. I thought I had an idea of what was going to happen going into the book but hoo boy was I wrong and surprised. Pleasantly surprised, I might add!
I want to make this as spoiler-free as possible, so here goes. Luke finally takes the blindfold off of his eyes and realizes he has something good in his life and needs to hold onto it, but his past mistakes keep getting in his way and he's too scared of losing his job to man-up and deal with them. Enter Ellie who will woman-up for the both of them and address things head on, and protect her husband. I feel like it was fate for these two to meet but then fate is a fickle mistress and she keeps sticking problem after problem in their way. They're going to endure though, I have faith! You can see glimpses of the Luke that Ellie deserves in this one--the company, the tearing of the paperwork, etc. C'mon Luke! Let love win!
Michelle needs to go. We all know that she's being less than honest and Jack is probably involved and I'm glad Luke finally stepped in and made it clear what he needs from Michelle. I can't wait until she's no longer part of their lives and I'm holding out hope that she won't be tied to them for the next 18 years. I mean, I'm hoping Jack is stuck with her for that long because those two deserve each other.
I did see the twist with Luke at the end coming. I think it was alluded to enough that I had a feeling that was going to happen. I'm really concerned that this is going to push Ellie and Luke back a billion steps, but with one book left, I have faith Lisa is going to wrap this up perfectly and let us see a HEA!
Eagerly anticipating the next book. I can't wait! I really hope you go for a ride in this series. It's definitely hard having a huge cliffhanger at the end of each book, but it leaves you wanting and it's so satisfying when you get your hands on the next one!
End Game 5-fantastic-ending-stars.
We finally made it to the End Game. We made it through every twist, turn and cliffhanger, and we got the wrap up to this story we deserved. Luke and Ellie get their HEA, but it wasn't easy. After the devastating ending to the last story, this picks up shortly where we left off. Ellie had her hands full with Luke in this one, and honestly I applaud her patience and perseverance. She knew he was the one for her, but she put up with a heck of a lot from him and had to essentially fight him to have the version she deserved. I loved Ellie in this one. I think she grew a ton of backbone, matured and showed that she could be a fantastic wife, but also that she wanted a true partner and she fought Luke to be that for her.
Luke had his trials and tribulations in this one. Lets be honest, what happened in the last book was bad enough, but then he had a couple more hits come in this one. While he faced a ton of tragedy, it also gave him some blessings in disguise and we saw Luke heal in ways I didn't think we would.
Luke's life-altering decision in this one showed me that he truly loved Ellie and was ready for the next step in his life. However, I think she loves him so much that she truly wants what is best for him and this may not be that. I think at the end of this one we got a glimpse that maybe Luke will change his mind and I'm excited to see how that would play out.
As someone named Michelle I can say this... I'm glad we finally got rid of Michelle! Thank you for not letting us go down that road. However... with the next chapter of Vegas Aces being about Jack, are we truly done with her? Can Lisa make me like her? I really don't think so, but I didn't think I'd like Jack and suddenly this book made me care about him.
Overall, this series was incredibly fun, witty and twisty-turny. You'll want to devour all five books, and eagerly be waiting for more of the Vegas Aces! As always, YMMV.

Vegas Aces is a series of quick reads that revolves around Luke Dalton, wide receiver for the Las Vegas-based Aces football team, and his best friend and fellow teammate’s little sister, Ellie Nolan.
This is the complete Vegas Aces series, which is season one of the Vegas Aces franchise. It is Hot Luke and Sexy Ellie’s story.
Season two is Vegas Aces: The Quarterback. It is Jack Dalton and Kate Harmons’s story.
Season three is Vegas Aces: The Tight End. It is Ben Olson and Kaylee Dalton’s story. FROM HOME GAME, BOOK 1:
Josh Nolan loved playing for his hometown team – the Chicago Bears – but he doesn’t regret getting traded to the Las Vegas Aces one year ago. His new teammates are already like brothers. With his fiancée Nicki at his side, life couldn’t be better.
It is just days before Josh and Nicki’s early summer wedding as the story opens.
Ellie Marie Nolan, twenty-five, always finds herself in trouble. She doesn’t always think first. She suffers from foot-in-the-mouth syndrome and is prone to accidents. Her brother Josh laughs when she tells him all about her slipups. He happens to be a pro football player – and engaged to be married to Ellie’s best friend since sophomore year of high school. Ellie couldn’t be happier for the pair, though she might be a little jealous. Her most recent attempt at a boyfriend failed – and she lost her job as well, a job in public relations that she loved. So when Josh suggests that there is nothing preventing her from following him and Nicki to Las Vegas, she gives it serious consideration. And when he works out temporary living arrangements for her, she can hardly refuse giving it a go. She can always move back if it doesn’t work out. So instead of planning to fly back after Josh and Nicki’s wedding this weekend, she packs up her apartment and hopes to make Vegas her new home.
Luke Dalton, thirty-one, lives for football. He started out his professional career playing for the Aces and fully intends to stay in Las Vegas until his retirement from the sport. But new recruits join the league each year, competing for a limited number of spots. He sees the writing on the wall, even if he chooses to ignore it. He is disciplined and professional in all he does, hoping to delay the inevitable. What really weighs him down, however, is the women from his past. He and Savannah divorced just over four years ago, but the sports reporter still tries to squeeze him for all she can. And Michele was a mistake that he hopes not to repeat. That ended a few months ago. He never should have had her move in after just a year of dating. He has learned from experience, though, and vows never to marry again.
When Luke and Ellie meet as strangers on the eve of Josh and Nicki’s rehearsal dinner, neither is looking for a relationship. But when they later cross paths again, their simple tryst turns out to be incredibly complicated. Ellie may be an open book, but Luke is a little more complex. Ellie gets conflicting ideas about the quiet-spoken bachelor, and she cannot quite make up her mind about him. Forced together by circumstances, though, she begins to get a glimpse into the real man. This story ends with a surprising twist that leads into the second book of the series.
I rate this book 4.5 stars. FROM LONG GAME, BOOK 2:
As book two opens, it is still Tuesday morning and Luke feels the reality of the situation weighing on him, but Ellie keeps a cool head, thinking like a PR professional. Michelle is vile and clearly makes Luke miserable. Unlike Luke, Ellie smells a rat. The thought of Michelle manipulating her way into Luke’s life crushes him, but Ellie explains that he can be a good father without giving in to Michelle’s ploys. Ellie has lingering questions about Luke’s acceptance of the claims – there is so much about him that she still doesn’t know – but she focuses on the task at hand instead of badgering the very private bachelor. The couple agrees to continue with their fake engagement in order to partially shield Luke from Michelle’s machinations. They even begin to toy with the idea of turning their fake engagement into a fake marriage despite Luke’s vow to never marry again. In desperation, Luke challenges Ellie to prove her worth in her PR efforts as his reputation stands to take a beating.
Ellie’s relationship with Luke is beyond complicated as they continue to get to know one another in this book. Luke provides her a place to live as well as a job, and they need to portray a couple in love as they begin to be seen in public. There are mixed signals and confusing feelings galore on both sides, but it is Luke that holds the pair back. He continues to tell her that he is no Prince Charming when everything she learns about him indicates otherwise. Ellie slowly gets pulled into his life and his past. Each person she meets gives her a new piece of the puzzle to the enigmatic Luke Dalton. Debbie, Luke’s cook. Michelle, his ex-girlfriend. His ex-wife Savannah. Ace’s owner Calvin Bennett. And finally Luke’s family – his little sister Kaylee, his older brother Jack, and his parents – Tim and Carol Dalton. But the deeper Ellie gets, the more questions she has.
Luke and Ellie’s story continues with surprising revelations as the pair settles in and tries to stick to business despite their intense chemistry. Ellie takes on the task of saving Luke’s career and reputation, but she is often in her head with romantic thoughts of Luke. It does sometimes get a little repetitive, but on the other hand, Luke’s behavior is confusing. Their one-night stand turned friendship is complicated by mixed signals. This book is a little more serious as Luke’s history begins to come to light. He is absolutely adorable with his Lucky Charm habit and quiet but thoughtful ways. Still, he is honest in saying there is more to the story, which foretells more roadblocks on the way to any potential happy ending for the couple. The tension builds when Ellie finally meets Luke’s family, and the book ends with another angsty twist that leads to the third book in the series.
I rate this book 4.5 stars. FROM FAIR GAME, BOOK 3:
As book three opens, it is still the evening of Luke’s family’s arrival in Hawaii, and Ellie finds herself knocking on Jack’s door. It is shocking and confusing to read, much like Ellie herself feels. She has a lot to say to Jack, but her own confounded state and bad timing prevent her from getting the answers and reassurances she seeks. This does nothing to rectify things between her and Luke, and all the progress made between the pair is erased upon his family’s arrival. Every time they gather there is drama. Sometimes it brings the couple closer, and sometimes it sets them further apart.
Jack, however, is consistent in trying to rile up his younger brother Luke. They are both magnetic and powerful personalities, but Jack’s loud and arrogant ways overpower Luke’s more laid-back and chill persona when the two are together. While Ellie first finds it difficult to resist Jack’s evil charm, she does begin to get a small glimpse of the underlying problem between the brothers. Yet while she has fallen hard and fast for Luke, her love remains unrequited. Luke struggles when in the presence of his family and isn’t in a terribly good state of mind. Nevertheless, there are moments that keep hope alive that the couple might actually find their happy ending.
Ellie struggles with her feelings at times, but she remains convinced that Luke might be her Prince Charming. Although Luke really pulls inside of himself in the few days his family is there, he does a few remarkably Prince Charming-like things that begin to redeem his thoughtless inattention to Ellie. Like in book two, Ellie is once again in her head a lot. She is confused, but it does begin to drag. Hopefully, the next two books in the series will have more action versus inner dialogue. Nevertheless, this is just one piece of a story that is steeped in suspense as each installment comes to a dramatic cliffhanger. Just as events begin to take a positive turn for the couple, the book ends with yet another twist.
I rate this book four stars. FROM WAITING GAME, BOOK 4:
As book four opens, Michelle insists the wedding cannot take place, but when she learns she is really too late she loses steam. Rather than her leaving, though, Jack invites her to stay for the celebration as his date. Needless to say that it is never dull, nor pleasant when the Dalton family gets together. But all that only brings Luke and Ellie closer together as Luke confesses that he loves her, too. All seems magical, but the real world awaits them. It is complicated, to say the least. The couple’s honeymoon phase comes to an end all too soon.
As a football wife, Ellie is introduced to a new world, where wives are often left to their own devices as their husbands work tirelessly and travel for part of the year. Unfortunately, Michelle happens to work for the team. She realizes that if she and Luke do work out in the long run, Michelle and the baby will become a part of her life, too. She doesn’t trust Michelle. And Luke is rather pathetic when it comes to standing up to Michelle since she announced she is carrying his child. His career means everything to him, and upsetting Calvin, Michelle’s father and the owner of the Aces, will only hurt his chances of getting his contract renewed. But that comes at a very big price. Ellie faces the very real possibility that with Michelle as a permanent fixture in their lives, their relationship is doomed.
Things really spiral out of control after training camp begins. Luke is gone most of the time, and Ellie is a bit lost. They both feel the pressure of being apart, and each focuses on their career. Jack makes a few appearances in the story, and he never fails to stir up trouble. And Michelle eagerly leans on him in the hopes of getting Luke’s attention. Savannah is in the background, but the secret that she knows about the Dalton brothers still lingers as a big question mark. It is something neither brother wants revealed to the public, but neither can control it. As Michelle manipulates, Ellie struggles to maintain her composure at times, though overall she really does put up with a lot. Too much, really. In fact, she is sometimes a little hard to believe. But she finally does start to recognize the error of her ways.
Luke gets a little frustrating here, and his priorities are questionable. His reasoning fails to take into consideration the fact that he is married, and one wonders if he might just be better off marrying Michelle instead. Still, his mind is on his work so he deserves a little slack. The story gets crazy, but there is one wonderful moment when Luke seems to come alive. The couple struggles with the uncertainty of the Michelle situation and questions of paternity, but little do they know what the future holds for them. The book ends with a tearful twist as everything changes for Luke and Ellie. Their story concludes in the next book.
I rate this book 4.5 stars. FROM END GAME, BOOK 5:
Book four closes with several outstanding issues. Luke’s relationship with his family remains difficult. There is an ominous secret that binds Luke and Jack together. Luke works to placate Aces owner Calvin Bennett by allowing Michelle to move in. Luke demands a paternity test. He then sustains a potentially career-ending injury in Denver when Allen Hammond makes a dirty play for his knee. He needs surgery to reset a dislocated knee and has a torn ACL. He is out for the season at a minimum. Finally, Ellie realizes that her period is late.
As book five opens, Luke returns home from Denver and undergoes surgery. Ellie does her best to support him, but he doesn’t make it easy for her. He is rude and inconsiderate, testing her commitment to helping him in his recovery. With his health and career on the line, Luke struggles to hold onto hope. He doesn’t want to think about a future that doesn’t include playing football. The arrival of the paternity test results leads to more turmoil. Readers won’t be surprised to learn who the father is (more on that in Season Two of Vegas Aces). But Luke’s reaction has Ellie taking a pause when her suspicions about her own condition are confirmed. She awaits an appropriate time to discuss the issue with Luke, whose luck has run out. Secrets always have a way of coming out. Both Luke and Jack must come to terms with the past and the hold that Savannah has on them. Just when it seems things cannot get any worse for Luke, they do.
Luke and Ellie’s story finally reaches its conclusion as Luke’s career comes to a crashing halt. The game that means everything to him may no longer be within his reach, and his future remains uncertain. Ellie tries to stand strong by his side despite his lack of cooperation. He and Ellie face scandal and family difficulties as well as tragedy and uncertainty. Their strangely evolving relationship undergoes tests while Luke suffers blow after blow. They somehow come out of it stronger, and the couple eventually earns a happy ending. Don’t forget to download the free bonus material via the link at the back of the book.
This final installment of the series has some big developments for the couple. But it also spends a great deal of time and attention on wrapping up loose ends, bringing closure to issues both big and small. It all seems to come full circle in the end. There are several “evil” characters in the series, but by end of this book, most actions are put into context. Understanding brings acceptance and closure. Two sides are presented, illustrating how misunderstanding and miscommunication can lead to fractured relationships. As for Jack and Luke, I would still like to see more explanation as to some of their past behavior, but those questions will hopefully be answered in the follow-up to this series.
Hold on tight as Hot Luke and Sexy Ellie face their biggest challenges ever while Luke deals with a potentially career-ending injury. Their story has a few devastating surprises before coming to a beautiful end. It is nicely written. The plot is somewhat complex. It is written in first person from Ellie’s POV. I rate this book 4.5 stars.
It was sweet to get to see these two get their HEA, with things turning out even better than I initially anticipated. Yes, there are sad bits, but they have their purpose and are bittersweet in their own ways.
This was a story full of ups and downs, and it was a ride worth taking. These two grow together and better with each installment in this series, and to get to binge them all at once makes it all the more satisfying.
I listened to these series in audiobook, and by the end, I felt like I'd never be able to hear these characters any other way. After listening to Summer Roberts narrate them for five books, it just fits fully for me now, and I don't think I'll be able to separate her voice from these characters. It was an enjoyable listen, and with how these books are written, the full set flows seamlessly from one book to the next. Highly recommend!

But imagine her surprise when she gets to her brother's wedding rehearsal to find out Hot Luke from the night before is actually her brother's best man and best friend, and her new roommate. But once Luke realises the girl he slept with is his best friend's sister, nothing else can happen, no matter how much Ellie wants it to. Long Game Last time we saw Ellie and Luke, Ellie decided to say yes to Luke's fake engagement idea to get his exes of off his back. But when the news of their engagement isn't enough to get the desired reaction, the next step in the plan is marriage. "I want to help him even though I've only known him for a few days. I have these urges to protect him and I don't even know why." Unsurprisingly Ellie and Luke grow closer, but what Ellie didn't count on was how determined Luke is to not take things any further. Can getting married make Luke realise what's right in front of him or will he keep pushing Ellie away? Read Long Game and the rest of this amazing series to find out!
Fair Game We're back in Hawaii for the Dalton family vacation and Luke and Ellie's wedding. But meeting Luke's family and hearing Luke say he doesn't love her and never will is making Ellie question whether marrying Luke is a good idea. "Should I really be wasting an entire year of my life on someone who doesn't love me?" But when you have the groom's family willing to do whatever it takes to stop this wedding and a jealous ex ready to take your place. Will the wedding even happen? Read Fair Game and the rest of the Vegas Aces series to find out! I love Luke and Ellie's story, each book finishes too quickly and your left wanting more and counting down the days until the next book!
Waiting Game Waiting Game is the fourth book in the Vegas Aces series and is the continuing story of Ellie and Luke and will take you on a rollercoaster of emotions. P.S I do not recommend throwing your kindle across the room after the way this book ends, even though you really really want to! Waiting Game starts back at Luke and Ellie's wedding, where majority of their guests are trying to stop the wedding. Thankfully for Luke and Ellie they don't succeed which leads to Luke confessing his real feelings to Ellie on their wedding night. "And now that he's confessed how he really feels, I'm going to enjoy every damn minute of this union." After Luke and Ellie return from their honeymoon, they're determined to give themselves a real shot at making their relationship real, no more fake marriage, no more faking their interactions in public. Just to be real with each other and their feelings. But when you marry Luke Dalton, NFL superstar, people are always going to try to come between you, to break you up and to try to take him for themselves. Will Ellie and Luke be able to push through all the obstacles stopping them from having their happily ever after and Ellie being able to ride off into the sunset with her Prince Charming? Or will a new, unexpected obstacle be the one to tear them apart? Read Waiting Game to find out! Wow what can I say...I was not prepared for this book and the way Waiting Game ended, I need End Game and I need it now! I love Waiting Game and seeing the next part in Ellie and Luke's story, we are so close in finding out if Luke really is Ellie's Prince Charming or not and I cannot wait!
End Game Hot Luke and Sexy Ellie have reached their perfect End Game. End Game is the fifth and final book in the Vegas Aces series and a part of me is sad that this is the end but so happy that I finally got to find out what happens! "Our game plan may have started with a fake engagement, but happily ever after is our end game." The last time we saw Luke and Ellie, Luke had just suffered a career altering injury and is now having to recover from knee surgery and understandably Luke is very grumpy and is unfortunately taking his aggression out on Ellie. But Ellie has her own secret that will change everything, the only problem Luke is not himself right now and adding something else to his plate, Ellie's worried it might finally push him over the edge. Can Ellie and Luke be able to tackle the obstacles that keep coming their way and finally get their happily ever after or will a injury, Ellie's secret, Luke's family and jealous ex partners finally get what they want and tear them apart for good? Read End Game now to find out! I absolutely loved End Game and the rest of this series, Lisa Suzanne has excelled herself with this series, I personally think this is the best series of Lisa's and my new favourite!
Home Game A Need to Read Sports Romance!! I am used to getting great rock romances from this author and now she’s starting a new series of football players that has me loving yet another genre from her. This book was so funny at times that it turned into one of those laugh out loud books. After Ellie gets fired and dumped in one day (oh, wait ‘til you read this part…LOL) her brother convinces her to move to Vegas where he is an all-star receiver and is ready to get married to Ellie’s longtime friend Nicki. Josh has the great idea that Ellie can move into his teammate and best friend’s home across the street until she finds a job and a place to live. Luke is also best man at the wedding compared to Ellie’s maid of honor role. Ellie is out to change her life and her first move it to take on the dare that the rest of the bachelorettes have given her since she is the only one who has not ever done this…have a one-night stand. She sees a guy at the club and its instant chemistry and so very worth it. This book was so refreshing and its one that I read in one sitting because it was so good. Yes, it ends in a great cliffhanger but Ms. Suzanne doesn’t have you waiting long for the next installment. Loved it!!
Long Game I Am So Hooked on Luke and Ellie!! I can’t believe I am so completely enthralled with Luke and Ellie’s story. It’s full of lies, heat and unrequited love. In this second book of the series we see the lies continuing between Luke and Ellie with their relationship. But is it really a lie? Maybe so since big brother Jack has stepped in and it seems like the brothers have had more than one occasion where they are drawn to the same woman. Is Ellie any different or is she just another part of their game? This is one series I’m really excited about and can’t wait to see what happens next.
Fair Game A Great Continuation of Luke & Ellie's Story
Fair Game picks up right where Long Game left off. Ellie went along with Luke on his family's annual adventure and this year they are going to Hawaii. What a perfect place to get married! That should be great if anyone believed they actually loved one another. Then we need to add in Luke's arrogant brother Jack who announced that until they were married Ellie was fair game.
This series just keeps getting better and better. I am so hooked on Luke and Ellie's story and can't wait for the next book to see where this story is headed next. What secrets are out there yet and will Ellie finally find out what Luke's feelings for her actually are. Waiting Game Sooo Good!!!
I’m not even sure where to start. This book continues to take me on this rollercoaster ride of emotions and I’m never sure if this rollercoaster will even stay on the track!! The second wedding was brought up short the last time we seen Luke and Ellie. Luke’s family is just as toxic as ever. Ellie also finds out that there is this big secret and Jack and Luke are holding on to which keeps her on the outside and Michelle is still in the picture with Luke’s supposed baby that she is carrying. Now at the very end a life changing event happens that left me with my mouth hanging open. Whew!! If that isn’t a lot to deal with this series just digs deeper and deeper with so many unknowns. Now I’m one book away from knowing what happens to the couple I’ve come to love and I cannot wait for it to see if Luke and Ellie will find the HEA that they deserve. This is such a great series!!
End Game A Fantastic Ending to an Amazing Series
Hot Luke and Sexy Ellie finally got their HEA and I am so glad I was taken on the ride with two great characters. As soon as this book landed on my Kindle, I dropped all of the other books just to see where their journey was going to go next. They have been through so much and this book brought so much more to the table that I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. This author had created people within this series that I won’t soon forget about and I’m so glad to hear that there will be more to come. This is a must-read sports romance series that I can speak highly enough of.
I am so delighted to be able to have this series under one cover !!! Absolutely love this series !! Home Game This is the first book in a series, but good news folks the other books in the series are all following quickly and i am so freaking happy about that !!!! Because this first one is ON FIRE !!!!! Ellie has lost her job and her boyfriend, now she's in Vegas for her brother's wedding !! Fun and games !!!! She has an Incredible one night stand after the bridal shower, right ? haha omg this couple had me hooked, Hooked !! Her one night stand turns out to be not only her brothers best friend, a football god and her new room mate whilst her brother is on his honey moon!! Luke Dalton is Everything !!! He's complicated, serious, devoted to the game, an ex wife, a girlfriend and he most definitely wants no attachments to women !!! Ellie is such a fire cracker, wants her man ( I mean who wouldn't want Luke Dalton!!) she's a breath of fresh air, and you know those moments that happen when you just want the ground to swallow you ?? lol that's Ellie !!! She will have you rolling in laughter!! I loved every second of this first book
LONG GAME After her amazing one night stand with Luke, Ellie is now not only his room mate but also his publicist and his fake fiance!! Problem is she wishes it was all real and finding it difficult to control her emotions. Well i know how she feels, because my emotions were hard to control too, this couple have me all kinds of heated up !!! Luke is the deep silent type and Ellie is a girl with her heart on her sleeve!! The chemistry between these two is beyond smouldering hot and they are both setting my emotions off in spades. They are obviously perfect for each other !! But Luke is in denial!
Fair Game OMG the tension!! I love this couple, Luke so stoic and Ellie wearing hr heart on her sleeve!! Now Lukes Family comes into the twist and holy snowballs, what a family and I do not mean that in a good way!! An arrogant brother, a sister and parents from errm Hell? I love the dis-functional angst !!! I devoured the pages and sucked up the emotion and chemistry leaping out at me and I loved every single moment !!! I can't get enough of this couple and so badly want them to have a happy ending.
WAITING GAME Their Marriage has taken place but OMG Lisa Suzanne... Boom diddly do da !!!!!! Just when i think i have it all under control !!! This couple gahhh i am so invested in their story, believe me folks you need a hard helmet around your heart and a super strong Case around your kindle ! (To protect it when you fling it !) Luke & Ellie finally admit their true feelings for each other, and my heart sung in joy !! Beautiful Love, but then for a second i forgot this Author never relents in wringing out our emotions !!
End Game Bitter Sweet !!!!!!! I can't or should I say I didn't want this to End, but what and ending !!!! Hot Luke & Sexy Ellie !!! I have been enthralled and excited with this series from the beginning, their struggle, the family dynamics, the LOVE !!! Luke Luke Luke, has bewitched me, a man so set in his ways, his path never altering, football his all !!! A man with unbelievable pressure, yet clearly a man with a huge heart. Ellie, a girl who is determined to have her 'Happy Ever After' and gives love her all. I adored everything about this book, fabulously written with characters you just connect and identify with so easily. It's fun, quirky, yet the issues are deep and emotional and this author gives perfect balance and does not leave any part of your heart untouched, and a talent to make us feel so hopeful yet aching for this couple at the same time. So many laughs and so many tears, this final part of their journey wasn't easy, life changing events, family turmoil and secrets, and navigating a path that will keep their love for each other intact!! I just didn't want it to end !!!
Just WOW !! From the first to the last episode of their Journey I was Hooked!!
Home Game is the first book in the Vegas Aces series and it sure did start off with a bang, literally. Only Ellie could lose her job and boyfriend in the same day. Her brother convinces her to move to Vegas for a fresh start and even secures her a place to stay literally across the street from him. During the bachelorette party her friends convince her to have a one night stand since she is the only one of them who hadn’t had one. She agrees and has one HOT night with “hot” Luke Little does she know that wouldn’t be the last time she saw “hot” Luke. I love Luke and Ellie! They have so much chemistry even though alike doesn’t want to acknowledge it. Luke is a very private person and Ellie is determined to get to know the parts that Luke keeps hidden. Book 1 ends on one heck of a cliffhanger and I can’t wait to continue their story and see where it all goes.
I'm loving this series so far. Long Game is the 2nd book in the series and it picks up right where Home Game left off. We get so much more of Luke and Ellie. While dealing with the scandal that has come to light, Luke has diarrhea of the mouth and low and behold Ellie is now right in the middle. I love how Ellie handles things for the most part, but I wish she & Luke would just be honest with each other. I know that Ellie has, but I don't know if Luke really realizes the extent of her feelings. My heart just breaks for her in the whole situation. Meeting Luke's family sure was interesting. No one really gives Luke the time of day, other than her sister Kaylee. She seems sweet, whereas her parents and brother Jack are very dismissive of Luke and even Ellie. I feel for Luke so much having to have a family like that. I really hope that something makes them all come together as a family, like really come together, not just a family vacation that's organized by one of them every year. As much as I love Luke & Ellie, they make me crazy and want to throw my kindle, but I cannot wait to see what happens next for these two!!!
And so it continues...Fair Game is Book 3 of the Vegas Aces series and it just keeps getting better with each book. In this one, you meet Luke's family and I gotta tell ya, I'm not a fan. Ellie is just torturing herself because she catches "feelings" for Hot Luke. The drama is getting real in this one. From Luke's parents to his older brother Jack, it's almost like he doesn't exist. His younger sister Kaylee seems like she is on his side, but is she really?!?! For me, that's still up in the air. Lisa seriously has the best cliff-hangers and I can't wait see what happens best.
This fourth installment of the Vegas Aces series sure packed a punch. It was full of more drama than I think either Luke or Ellie bargained for. It was also packed full of romance. Luke and Ellie are everything. I just love them together and I'm routing for them! I totally saw that cliff-hanger coming and NEED End Game like NOW!! I also still need to KNOW what secret Luke and Jack are hiding. I have my theories, but I need to know if I'm right.
End Game is the conclusion to Hot Luke and Sexy Ellie's story. What an ending it was! Luke and Ellie finally get their HEA, but it was not an easy road. I love how Ellie stood by Luke no matter what and in the beginning she took a lot from him, but at some point she finally gained a backbone and stood up for herself. It was exactly what Luke needed to get it together. These two were absolutely meant for each other. They had great chemistry and once they both admitted to it, their love was new no bounds. I loved this whole series and I'm so excited we are getting more. If you like sports romance, I highly recommend this one!
Ellie Nolan not only gets fired but loses her boyfriend all in the same day and it's a laugh out loud start to this new series. Her brother Josh, a pro football player who plays for the Vegas Aces talks her into moving out to Vegas and living with him and his fiance Nicki, her best friend. Having to be in Vegas for their wedding off she goes. During the bachelorette party she belts out that she hasn't ever had a 1 night stand, enter Luke Dalton. After a great time he leaves only to meet her the next day at some wedding stuff going on and she is floored. Of course brother Josh has made it known that she is NOT to be with any of his friends/teammates. Uh oh. She doesn't want to live with Josh and Nicki which is fine since their house is undergoing renovations so Josh has her moving in across the street with his teammate, Luke. Oh boy! Can they coexist? Ellie is like a walking calamity and it's funny to see what she will do next. Can she break down Luke's walls? Stuff really starts hitting the fan and I can't wait to see what happens next.
Secrets Book #2 in the Vegas Aces Series
Ellie and Luke are in Hawaii meeting up with his family for the annual vacation and one that is dreaded by Luke. This fake relationship is getting more real for Ellie since she agreed to be his fake fiancee but what about Luke? Is this just a game and a one upmanship or does he maybe have feelings? What a tangled web we weave. There are twists and turns that you don't see coming and heart pounding leaving you wondering what is going to happen next. "Prove your worth"
Vegas Aces #3
Oh my gosh right off the bat my heart is beating fast and I'm thinking, Ellie STOP, walk away. I have so different thoughts going through my head and different reasons why things are the way they are but knowing Ms. Suzanne, there will be so many more twists and turns, not sure the heart can handle it. Ellie and Luke are in Hawaii and have planned to get married with only his disapproving family there. But brother Jack is really testing Ellie and making it appear she likes him and wants more. He doesn't believe what they say. So what's the real story between Jack and Luke? I guess time will tell. This fake relationship is getting more complicated by the minute especially since it's not completely fake. Will they go through with the wedding?
Vegas Aces #4
Ellie and Luke are married but that didn't come without issues. His family wasn't supportive but that's not a shock but having Michelle show up was. They had a great honeymoon after they went to another hotel and ditched his family and then came home, life is wonderful, or is it? Training camp came and went with them growing closer and now we're into preseason games and they have a new roommate.
Vegas Aces #5
The final in the series and what an ending. You will finally get all the answers to the questions about Luke and Jack and when you do, is it what you expected? Ellie has so much to endure and has secrets of her own, will it break them or bring them closer together. She is finally getting some backbone and learning to stand up for herself, is it too little, too late? And what about Luke, will he come back from his injury and will he play again. Football is his life! As usual Ms. Suzanne adds her twists and turns and you can only hope for the best.
This was such a great series, a page turner with lots of twists and turns and characters you will fall in love with.
Home Game - What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas!! Except when you decide to have a one night stand with the very same guy who happens to be the best man at your brother's wedding. But when Ellie and Luke start off their night together they have no idea that the next day they will come face to face as part of the bridal party. What happens next will make you laugh out loud while wanting to quickly flip the pages to see what happens next. Lisa Suzanne once again fills the storyline with adorable characters, sassy attitudes and just enough smoke to keep the readers on the edge of their seats. Another awesome beginning to a series I know will become a favorite.
Long Game - The misadventures of Luke and Ellie continue in this second book in the series. While the reader has already fallen in love with them from the opening book, both Ellie and Luke continue to be a favorite couple. But will all the lies and deception that the pair has based this engagement be too much to keep up with? Or do they just keep on burying themselves deeper and deeper? Totally worth the cliffhangers and enjoyable form the opening pages, I cannot wait to see where Lisa Suzanne takes us to next.
Fair Game - Holy crap - it is one step forward and two steps back while also going under the limbo stick and adding in Simon Says. Luke and Ellie's trip to Hawaii has it's ups and downs especially when you throw his family into the mix. The brother from hell that only appreciates what he wants to take away form Luke sets the stage for huge family drama while at the same time throwing a wrench into the wedding plans. But will their true feelings overshadow the farce they are putting on to save his career? Or will the family drama be too much to overcome? Lisa Suzanne I love where you are taking this and cannot wait for the next book in the series!!
Waiting Game - With the "I DO'S" complete and the wedding over, the honeymoon phase has just begun for Luke and Ellie. But when you throw in your pregnant ex that comes to live with you and your brother who has more up his sleeve than you think, there is not so much joy. However the circumstances are not all grim as Luke and Ellie grow closer and realize that the plan they had set up has turned into so much more. As with any love story in the blink of an eye everything can come crashing down - and it does. It will leave you wanting more - QUICKLY!! I have never had a series that has held me captive and left me ready to scream at the author. Lisa Suzanne - can you hear me yelling!!! Hurry up and write - I need to know what happens next!!!
End Game - Holy crap - what an ending!! Readers have followed Luke and Ellie from their impromptu one night stand, which then went to a fake engagement and finally a wedding but the last book in the series really packed an emotional punch. With a possible career ending injury, Luke must decide whether or not to fight for his standing with the team and follow through with a grueling rehab or to throw the towel in on not only his career but his future with Ellie as well. With Ellie's heart on the line and future with Luke looking bleak, a surprise just might be the one thing that might bring them together forever. With emotions that just made my heart ache and characters that I just wanted to finally get their HEA this was a fantastic ending to a wonderful series. If I had it my way Lisa Suzanne this would be the next book made into a movie!!
Home Game For anyone who was used to Lisa Suzanne's sexy rock stars, this new series with football players has everything to be another success. In this first book we have Ellie Nolan, who loses her job and boyfriend on the same day, so she is convinced by her older brother Josh, a pro football player, to move to Las Vegas. He's even arranged for her to stay with a buddy of his while she looks for work. When she spends a one-night stand with the hottest guy she has ever seen, she didn’t expect to meet him at her brother’s wedding and that he would be her brother's best friend and her new roommate. Luke Dalton is everything you imagined, but he also has a baggage that ends up leading him to not want a relationship with any woman. This story is great and a lot of fun, but it ends up in a cliffhanger.
Long Game This series has made me increasingly anxious to know what will happen to these characters. While Ellie is living with Luke, she convinces him to work as his PR, while he needs to deal with a defamatory headline. The solution for both is a fake marriage, to try to get Luke's ex-girlfriend and ex-wife to leave him alone, but his rules remain the same, a fake marriage and no kind of romantic relationship between them. While Ellie has to deal with her new job and the feelings that arise, she also needs to prepare to meet her future husband's family. And what a surprise when she finally meets them! I loved the story and I hope to learn a little more about this dynamic of Luke's family.
Fair Game In this book we continue to accompany Ellie and Luke in Hawaii, as they prepare for their fake wedding. Knowing a little more about Luke's family was enlightening in some ways, as they treat him horribly! And I would really like to know a little more about this rivalry between the brothers Jack and Luke. And when Ellie starts to question whether it really is worth going ahead with this fake marriage, since her love for Luke is not at all fake, he does some surprises for her that make her sure that he's her Prince Charming. And the end was to make us curious for more!
Waiting Game With each book in this series I'm more anxious to know what's really going to happen between Ellie and Luke. When Ellie and Luke's marriage is interrupted with accusations that it is a sham, they decide to move on and Luke declares his love for her. As they adapt to this new phase of the relationship, Ellie begins to get closer to the wives of the other players and to become more involved in Luke's life, while they have to deal with Michelle's pregnancy. The ending to this book was surprising and really made me tense about what is going to happen in the last book in the series.
End Game When Luke gets hurt early in the season, his career gets threatened, since he'll take some time to recover. Ellie stays alongside Luke to support him, and even when he tries to push her away, she remains steady next to him, since she also has a secret to tell him. I loved how Luke was able to reconcile with his family, although the time was not so good. I loved all this series and the development of Ellie and Luke's relationship. I highly recommend the reading.
Home Game Now that's what I'm talking about! This story has me completely riveted in the very best if ways. Yes, there is a cliffhanger and what a great one it is but do not fret, these stories will he coming at you every few weeks so you won't be waiting months to find out what happens next. I found this story between Luke and Ellie is delightfully snarky and funny as well as wonderfully sexy with some surprises in store for us.
Long Game Oh Me oh my Ellie, what have you gotten yourself into now? (I'm thinking what her mother would say lol). This is nothing but business right? I mean, Ellie knows how to do her job, and do it well. The whole marriage thing, well it's only to save his reputation right? But Ellie, as much as she'd like to think she is this worldly, independent woman, still has a heart, and when that part of her catches feelings, what will she do? Luke has secrets and suddenly she realizes how very little she really does know about the man she is thinking of saying yes to. Will she be able to go through with it after what she learns and how she is made to feel? (no worries, I don't know yet either but it promises to be quite a ride)
Fair Game Well hell in a handbasket, butter my biscuit and all the cheesy quaint quotes. Ellie has a lot on her plate. She is marrying the man of her dreams-her prince charming. She has "feelings" now but is it more than just a publicity ploy for Luke? Torn between helping Luke especially with the disaster that is his family and having a true happily ever after, will she go forward with the fake wedding? There is more happening behind the scenes and while hiccups are expected, the train wreck that is coming will leave your jaw hanging at the end.
Waiting Game Lisa Suzanne is certainly keeping us on the edge of our seats with the series. What I find she does best is the push and pull between two people who know they want to be together but push the other away in order to protect them. The deeper Ellie gets into the game, the further the goal posts get moved. Can her heart take what is surely coming her way? There are forces against them and a secret that seems to be seriously explosive (we don't know that for sure yet though) enough to keep some people on short leashes. I'm completely looking forward to the finale and hoping against hope that I will still love the author when it is all said and done :)
End Game What a journey Hot Luke and Sexy Ellie embarked upon! They have both learned and grown so much throughout the course of the 5 Vegas Aces stories. They didn't, however, lose what makes them so precious to each other in the end. There are trials and tribulations, secrets and pain, love and lust for them to go through but in the end, Ellie will score the touchdown of a lifetime and Luke will finally be the hero he was meant to be.
Home Game The start of this book makes you laugh out loud and introduces you to a very capable but very entertaining Ellie. Losing her job and moving to Las Vegas to be close to her brother and best friend and attend their wedding, we see Ellie get drawn in to a great drinking game were revelations lead to consequences. Quite steamy consequences in the form of Hot Luke. But all is not as it seems and the relationship with Luke is more complicated then can be imagined. 'Im not a Prince Charming' leads you to wonder what is yet to come. An unsurprising cliff hanger that leaves you wanting the next book now.
Long Game So the story of Ellie and Luke picks up where it left off, they are engaged but a fake engagement. Although you feel that both are keen for it to be real but Luke is the most reluctant to give in to his feelings. A revelation of who Michelle the baby mommy is compounds Ellies role in this engagement that is set to become a fake marriage. The annual family holiday sees the family secrets start to unfurl and the introduction of the the testerone packed Jack is a quandry but also illicits feelings that Ellie is not sure she is ready for. A rollercoaster of attraction and lust but one hell of a cliff hanger
Fair Game I absolutely devoured this book. The story of Ellie and Luke moves to Hawaii and oh my the only nice thing about Luke’s family is nothing. The characters are so well written you absolutely detest the parents and the slime bag brother Jack. You are championing Luke to actually not be down trodden by these monsters in his family and take a stand but there’s a secret that will blow and I’m damn sure it will be explosive. You so want this to be a fairy tale ending for Luke and Ellie but can it be? Enter one hell of a cliffhanger wedding.
Waiting Game Wow wow wow! Just when you thought it was safe to get married. This book has a tornado of twists and turns. From the insufferable Michelle and her spoiled brat attitude to the cretin that is Jack. Charachters so well written they make you want to scream. Luke and Ellie are just amazing and you love their developing relationship. This is full of lust, love and hints at truths and rivalries. And what an ending. Can’t wait for the next book Five easy stars
End Game What a great ending to this series. Fast paced with lots of twists and turns that keep you hooked and make the book hard to put down. I cant say much as it would spoil it but jump upon the fun bus and take a ride through vegas and be drawn in to the life of Luke and Ellie again. Sadness, laughs, steam and joy. It has everything. Plus bonus content at the end.
This is an AMAZING collection of books by Lisa Suzanne. A collection of 5 books in one audiobook so that is just over 20 hours of listening enjoyment. Vegas Aces: The Complete Series by Lisa Suzanne is a trope-tacular contemporary sports romance. This story was originally published as a five-part serial, with each part ending on a cliffhanger where the next book would pick up and continue the story. This volume contains all five parts, the complete story. It’s told entirely from the first person perspective of the female main character, Ellie Nolan.
After Ellie gets dumped and fired on the same day, her pro football player brother, Josh, convinces her to move to Vegas to be closer to him and her best friend, whom he’ll soon marry. Ellie already has plans to be there for the wedding, so she might as well stay and get a fresh start. Josh will even make arrangements for her to live with a friend while she looks for work and gets settled in. Ellie's got nothing to lose.
A bachelorette party game turns into a mission to find Ellie a one-night stand; and when the hottest guy she's ever seen talks to her at the club bar, she knows he's the perfect candidate. She takes him to her hotel room, where they have the best sex of her life; and when he leaves, she never expects to see him again. But at the rehearsal dinner, when Josh introduces Ellie to his best man, best friend, and her new roommate to be—pro football player Luke Dalton—she's surprised to see her one-night stand.
They pretend to have never met before, and Luke later tells Ellie that nothing else can happen between them because his friendship with her brother makes her off-limits. Ellie disagrees because Josh is marrying her best friend. Regardless, they have to live together, because backing out would be a suspicious dead giveaway that something happened between them. What could possibly go wrong? Ohhh, you have no idea. But this is only the beginning. Read the book to find out!
I loved this series! It’s totally trope-tastic and had me completely hooked. From best friend's sibling and forced proximity meets fake engagement, to marriage of convenience meets potential love triangle, the tropes build on each other and change as the story progresses. Ellie is a bit of a hot mess. She's clumsy and lacks a filter at times, which makes her an entertaining character. Luke is a good guy trying to do right by his best friend, but he's got some hefty family baggage and his past keeps stirring up trouble. This highly addictive story, full of secrets, twists, and drama, is so much fun!
Book One: A new series for Lisa this time it’s not rockstars it’s football players!!
I loved it! I loved Ellie and Luke.
It starts with Ellie losing her job in a rather dramatic way. She picks up and moves to Las Vegas where her brother (a pro football player) and her best friend (soon to be sister in law) live.
Ellie has a one night stand with a handsome man and he ends up being the best man and her brothers best friend. What can go wrong?
It ends on an epic cliffhanger but don’t worry the next book will be out quick, the series is 5 books released two weeks apart.
The author knows rockstars and now she’s writing amazing sports stories.
Book Two: The only thing I hate more than cliffhangers are Lisa’s cliffhangers.
This book left us yet again on an epic one. One that has you internally screaming at Ellie and hoping she’s a good one.
In book two of five we learn quite a bit more about Luke but in small meaningful snippets. We learn a bit more about his family and his past and with that information our heart breaks for him.
Books 3-5 can’t come fast enough but I know they are worth the wait. We are just lucky they are coming out mere weeks apart.
Book Three: This ending was not cool! Left us on a huge, I mean massive cliffhanger.
But that’s what this series is about 5 books, each with a nail biting, kindle throwing cliffhanger.
I am so invested in Ellie and Luke. The brother needs to get a hold of himself and Luke’s parents need some kindness beat into them!
I am loving them even though Luke feels he cannot really marry again. I am really hoping Ellie can change his mind.
Book Four: Part 4 and bring on the real!
Finally Luke and Ellie open up to one another about how they really feel.
They are giving this relationship a real shot, but like all things, it’s about to get real difficult real quick! I won’t say anymore you must read these books yourself. They are amazing.
I love the small snippets of the back story coming out a little at a time. I can’t wait for the big secrets to be revealed and I can’t wait for some people to get their karma!
Book Five: The wait was worth it.
The author took a stab at sports related writing and she knocked it out of the park or should I say she scored a touchdown and then some!
Luke and Ellie were perfectly matched from the get go and every obstacle they faced just made them realize they were perfect for one another.
This last book couldn’t be more perfect. It had every loose end tied up with some surprises along the way.
I cannot wait for more in this world, I loved it so!
I finally went back and read the love story of the infamous Ellie and Luke!
Ellie works at a PR firm in Chicago and after she loses her boyfriend and job all in one day, she decides to take the leap and move to Vegas where her brother and best friend are living and start fresh. Her initial purpose of visiting Vegas is for her brother's wedding to her best friend and she is the MOH. Her brother gets everything set up for Ellie to stay with his best friend, the best man, while she gets settled and finds work. But at the bachelorette party, Ellie meets a handsome stranger that she has no idea is the best man and they have a hot AF one night stand. Later that day, she discovers her hot stranger is Luke Dalton, professional football player, the best man in this wedding, and her new roommate.
This flirty, sexy meet cute is only the beginning of their story as they start living together and Ellie starts to unravel all the layers that make up a very jaded Luke. She starts to work for him as his publicist, but as his personal life and past secrets start to come to light, Ellie and Luke decide their best course of action is to enter into a marriage of convenience for one year and hope that when the dust settles they can split amicably and Luke's life won't be left in complete shambles. The further they dig their heels into this arrangement, the more Ellie uncovers and with every twist and turn she does her best to stick by Luke's side and be his unwavering support even when he tries to push her away. But through every obstacle, they actually fall more and more in love with one another and what started as an arrangement becomes something real. I never thought I would hate Jack but I am so ready to dive into his redemption arc!
Like every Lisa story, its full of twists, turns and cliffhangers that made me grateful for this 5-in-1 book set because I didn't need to hang on that cliff for long! The way I ended up binging the last 3 books in 24 hours is a testament to how truly invested I was! I've never listened to Summer Roberts but she did a great job on this title. I know not too many people are the biggest fans of single narration, but it works with the way the story is written solely from Ellie's perspective and Summer delivers a terrific performance depicting multiple characters well. If you've never read Lisa, this is where to start! And it doesn't hurt that its a 5-in-1 deal on audible so you only use 1 credit for the entire series!
If you’ve been following my reviews you know that I’ve been on a binge of listening to as many of Lisa Suzanne’s books as I can. I was so thrilled to receive an ALC of this entire series because I was able to listen to all five books back to back. So while each book ends on a cliffie, there was no waiting time involved to see what happens next. And Summer Roberts does a phenomenal job of bringing each and every character and scene to vivid life for me.
I’m familiar with the Dalton last name from previous books so I was so excited to know I was getting Jack Dalton’s story and I couldn’t have picked a better match for him than the beautiful and quirky Ellie. This girl has relocated to Vegas thanks to her brother Josh and some truly bad luck in Chicago so a fresh start is exactly what she needed. Little did she know that when she stepped out of her comfort zone with a one-night stand with Luke that she was actually sleeping with her brother’s best friend and apparently her new roommate… the moments I laughed out loud while listening to this series is innumerable. Ellie and Jack take quite the journey and her personality, while she can be a little naïve at times, is so fabulous. She’s willing to help Luke and his crazy Ex by agreeing to marry him to save him from a PR nightmare. All seems like it’s going to go easy peasy… but not so much.
With each book in this series we’re building to Luke and Ellie realizing that what started as fake slowly became real. For all his swagger, Luke can be quite romantic, and I can understand how Ellie felt at times thanks to the ups and downs of their relationship. There are some super steamy moments, which is how they started in the very beginning. Of course, there are people in Jack’s life besides his Ex that aren’t the greatest and are willing to do things that fight against what Jack and Ellie are working towards. People that should love Jack unconditionally are really those that are doing things that are the exact opposite of unconditional love! I was thoroughly disappointed, frustrated and gobsmacked by them.
Overall, this series is one not to be missed. I love Jack and Ellie’s stories and that they both grow individually and as a couple throughout the five books. Swoony moments, tense filled conversations, giving and receiving love and discovering that happiness can be theirs even when it’s not something they were looking for when their arrangement started.
This AMAZING Series together in ONE book ~ what can be better than that?!?!
Home Game This was a nice change from Lisa Suzanne's Rockstars and a good introduction to the Vegas Aces. The story had attention from the beginning and I was mostly smiling throughout, because it felt realistic and I could imagine these things happening. This was just the light story I needed, cliffhanger included. I loved Ellie and Luke and can't wait to see what happens next.
Long Game I was waiting for this continuation of Luke and Ellie's story, and this one did not disappoint. It left us with an even bigger cliffhanger that had me yelling at my kindle and eager for the next installment. The chemistry and banter between Luke and Ellie make this easy and fun to read, add the twists and it becomes an addiction. I honestly didn't think I could dislike a family more than Luke's parents and Jake ~ it was definitely a game changer.
Fair Game Can I just say I love Ellie and Luke?!?! This series is seriously killing me, I felt it all; the hurt feelings, the love, the loyalty and the fun times - it was hard to put down. OMG, how bad of a family can a man have? Luke's parents and brother are the worse family members I have read in a long time, there is nothing FAIR in their Game. They make me wanna scream and just pull Luke into a HUGE hug. Of course this one left me hanging....again, but you know I'll be back for more!!!
Waiting Game This installment seriously made me want to scream so many times. I wanted to scream at Michelle, Jack, Luke's Parents, Ellie and even Luke. This was full of surprises and drama, drama, drama.... There are secrets that are being kept, truths to be found out and new paths to be taken ~ I can't wait for the End Game!
End Game This is the one I needed, after all Luke and Ellie have been through in this series. I was seriously pulling my hair at all the wickedness that was directed at Luke by Savannah, how could a woman be so vile??? I absolutely loved Ellie's sticking power - she did not give up on Luke through everything, she remained strong and his rock, all while going through her own turmoil. I was so glad when the truth came out on all points, when Luke finally was able to feel free and make unexpected changes.
Bad things happen, Luke endures ~ Touchdown!!!! Now bring on Jack...
Home Game OMG! Luke and Ellie have me hooked!!! I can’t even explain the chemistry these two share...HAF!!! I absolutely love Luke. He definitely has had his fair share in bad luck when it comes to woman but is Ellie one of them?? I love Ellie’s character. Her independence and drive but also her kind heart. She is truly an AMAZING heroine.
Long Game Agreeing to fake marry her brothers HAF team mate to help him out of a jam may have not been the best thing Ellie has ever done. She can’t help her feelings for Luke after the one HOT night they spent together. She knows Luke has feelings too and is just fighting them. When she joins Luke on his family trip to Hawaii she finds out information that leaves her wondering if she is just a pawn in some twisted game. I couldn’t put this book down! I am hooked on all things Luke & Ellie. The chemistry is off the charts! My heart is so broken for Ellie right now.
Fair Game Oh my heart. I need the next book like yesterday. Ellie and Luke are truly so Amazing and their chemistry is crazy HOT!!! I am sucked into their world and need to know where it’s heading. I absolutely LOVE ELLIE. The way she always feels the need to be on Luke’s side is beautiful. The ending left me SPEECHLESS!!!
Waiting Game My heart.❤️ This book had my heart. Ellie and Luke are so beautiful together. ALL THE FEELS!!! So many truths revealed that your heart will be absolutely FULL but just when their relationship is taking a turn for the better life throws a wrench. The ending had my gut in knots! I can’t wait to see how Luke and Ellie navigate the tragic turn.
End Game Absolutely PERFECT conclusion to Luke and Ellie’s story. The love these two share is absolutely beautiful and you get to see it all. I could literally feel the love poured off the pages. Ellie has become one of my FAVORITE h. The way she stands up for Luke just proves the love she has for this man. My heart was just so broken for Luke. Dealing with the aftermath of his loss he finally sees exactly what he wants in life. The ending was so swoon worthy! This series is a definite MUST READ!!! Now bring on Jack!
Audiobook Review: Vegas Aces: The Complete Series Bundle By: Lisa Suzanne Narrated by Summer Roberts
I absolutely loved this audiobook series and I loved that all of them were together. Vegas Aces is a football series full of laugh out loud moments, swoony romance, and lots of surprises! It’s the story of Ellie and Luke. Ellie is hysterical! I felt so bad for her when she lost her job and let’s be honest the guy she was with was a tool but it was just a lot at once. So it was great she was getting a fresh start in a new city. In the first book she owns her decisions and has a hot night with a gorgeous guy little does she know the connection she has to him. Lisa sets up the best stories and I loved everything about this one.
Ellie and her brother Josh have such a great relationship and the fact that he is marrying her best friend makes it all the sweeter. I loved how these two met. Their chemistry and how they help each other throughout the story. Fake dating, fake engagement , fake marriage, etc is one of my favorites!
Luke’s family are something else well I do like the sister but yeah he was making me so irritated in spots with how he was acting towards Ellie he was just a closed book so much! Ugh Jack don’t like him or honestly Michelle she’s up to stuff! There are some great swoony moments with Luke and Ellie. There are so many twists and turns in this story that keeps you on the edge of your seat. I loved how they came together when things got hard and the love she shows him during that difficult time was so amazing. I loved when she finally called him out about his hot cold behavior. It was a big wake up call and she needed to do it! This is such a great story and I definitely recommend you listen to it!
Summer Roberts did a phenomenal job in bringing the characters to life. She showed a wide range of not only emotional depth of the characters but also bringing all the different characters to life with their own presence.
Definitely 💯 listen to this book!
🫶🏻 Brothers best friend 🏈 Football Romance 🫶🏻 Fake Marriage 🏈 Sneaky Siblings
Home Game, the start of this new series by Lisa Suzanne is a win. I could not put this book down. I was sucked in from the first scene. Its full of twists and turns and builds so much anticipation.
Sexy Ellie and Hot Luke's story continues with Long Game. Just how far can Ellie go along with her fake engagement to her boss before her heart is damaged? She has feelings, he needs a business arrangement to boost good PR. Now she is on his family vacation in Hawaii and navigating his family relationships. Sibling rivalry between Luke the wide receiver for the Aces and his brother Jack the quarterback for the Broncos seems to go beyond the field. It appears this might be just a game between brothers but is Ellie playing?
Sexy Ellie and Hot Luke's story continues with Fair Game. They are now in Hawaii with all his family. Luke's entire family is against them and Luke in general. Can they keep this up and make it through their fake wedding? Can Ellie keep the fact she is love with Luke hidden? What is Luke hiding? You get little insights to Luke's family dynamic and past. Still, I have so many questions I need answered.
Sexy Ellie and Hot Luke are back from their wedding and have taken their rollercoaster for more loops in Waiting Game. Fake marriage, real feelings, family drama, a pregnant ex girlfriend maybe baby momma, training camp and season opener its all there. Now we get to see how they adjust to married life with the good the bad and the ugly.
End Game is the perfect ending to the Sexy Ellie and Hot Luke saga. Lisa's 1st sports romance series is amazing. This book will give you so many of the answers you've been waiting for.
The Vegas Aces will take a spot in your heart. You will laugh and cry with characters and be completely drawn into the story. I was so invested in Sexy Ellie and Hot Luke that I felt as if I was living this with them. Tablets are in danger of being thrown. Lisa doesn’t disappoint with Sexy Ellie and Hot Luke.
This is a new series for Lisa and it's about football players. I loved Sexy Ellie and Hot Luke (the names they called each other the first night they met). Ellie is just so cute even though she is quite the klutz ... there's never a dull moment when she's around. And Luke ... who wouldn't love a hunky football player? Even though Luke is in the public eye, he's a very private person with lots of secrets. I can't believe the patience that Ellie has with Luke ... I probably would have kicked him to the curb he was such a jerk! But then I thought back at the way his family treated him and all the crap he has been through ... so, I forgave him. There are lots of twist and turns that I didn't see coming ... some had me laughing out loud, some had me in tears and some had me wanting to through my iPad across the room! I highly recommend this book ... you won't be disappointed.
After Ellie loses her job and boyfriend in the same day, she decides to move to Las Vegas, where her brother plays for the Vegas Aces Football team. Her first night there, to help forget her troubles, she has a one-night stand with a hot guy ... not realizing he's her brother's best friend and teammate. When they meet the next day, they pretend not to know each other. Luke says that she's off limits to him because of his friendship with her brother. But Ellie disagrees as her brother is marrying her best friend ... so tit for tat!
I received an ARC courtesy of the author in exchange for a honest review.
Vegas Aces: The Complete Series Vegas Aces, Books 1-5 By: Lisa Suzanne Narrated by: Summer Roberts
Fun! Fun! Fun! That is what this series is! I loved it. Meet Ellie, sister of football player, Josh Nolan. She is a bit of risk taker, but that playful side of her had her fired and dumped all in one day. Now she is in Vegas for her brother's wedding, and at the bachelorette party, she finds herself dared to have a one night stand. Luke has been quiet when it comes to women. Coming off a bad breakup, he isn't looking for anyone, but Ellie catches his eye, and the two have a hot night. Now he comes to find out she is his best friend's sister and is staying with him! And the story begins! It's fun and flirty as these two formulate a fake marriage, but the real substance is what kept me listening. Luke has family issues that effect his every day life, and now that he has Ellie by his side, things begin to become clear. Ellie has real feelings for Luke that they stumble over as life continues to the bad throws to them. It's emotional, and healing, and as they train for the touchdown of love, I was in for every practice. Lisa Suzanne knows her way around my heart and this one kept it from the first chapter, through the fifth book! Loved it!
Summer Roberts does an amazing job narrating this gem alone. She creates fantastic voices for each character, giving them the attitude and feelings to make them realistic. She had me loving some and loving to hate others keeping the books fresh and moving. My heart was invested and I loved her performance.
