Shame off you. We weren’t meant to live in the vacillating swing between hiding and striving. Our bodies are not projects, trophies, measures of our worth, and they are not the world’s to weigh in on. God is not dismayed or defeated by the state of your humanity. Your size, your shape, and your aesthetic will not be a liability or an asset when it comes to your kingdom effectiveness. It’s time to get biblically equipped with truth that changes your life and changes the world. It’s time to gather with other women and change our language so the culture will follow suit.
It’s time to break free from body shame, together.
In this Bible study, we’ll discover how to break free from the broken beliefs we all hold about our bodies that hold us back from our fullest life.

Not a fan. Tbh I feel like I legit got nothing out of this. It’s not helpful unless you’re reading the book alongside it, because the material is so connected to the book. But also I read the book twice and still felt like some of the content was confusing.
I’ll save you some time and let you know that worship is pretty much her answer to breaking free from body shame. lotssss of build up on why body shame is an issue but not a lot of ~solutions~ if you know what i mean. I wouldn’t have finished this if I wasn’t going through it w/ my church bible study group.
