Thorne Evers has lived in the Coven of Neoma all her life, but a week before her seventeenth birthday, her life in the coven shatters. A great evil, that had once been banished, is brought back after a spell gone wrong. And it’s after her. In an attempt to keep her and the rest of Neoma safe, Thorne unwillingly decides to enroll at Aristide, a small private school, to hide among mortals. But living with a bunch of mortals means no magic. Thorne must learn how to live without using her magic or risk being caught–maybe even killed.

Kira has such a way with hooking me in her books from the first chapter. I listened to this, as it recently came out on Spotify(which if you haven’t already I highly recommend you do) And let me just say I caught myself laughing and smiling through most of the book. Plus the friendships the main character made at the school was everything! Especially one in particular that helped her with her one of her biggest challenges. (You’ll have to read the book to understand 🤭)
A little synopsis of this book. Thorne Evers was a week away from her seventeenth birthday. But something happened that made past evil come back into her Coven that she lived in all her life. She had to go to the mortal world in order to keep her and her Coven safe. She was scared because she had never gone into the mortal world at all in her life. So she had to go to this private school and was told to lay low (no magic) But as days gone by, this school would then not be the safest place for her to be at.
If you love magic, witches, bada** fmc, with a hint of mystery I highly recommend you read this book!
