About the author

Alice Oseman is an award-winning author, illustrator, and screenwriter, and was born in 1994 in Kent, England. She has written four YA contemporary novels about teenage disasters: SOLITAIRE, RADIO SILENCE, I WAS BORN FOR THIS, and LOVELESS. She is the creator of LGBTQ+ YA romance webcomic HEARTSTOPPER, which is now published in physical form by Hachette Children's Books, and she is the writer, creator, and executive producer for the television adaptation of HEARTSTOPPER, which is set to be released on Netflix.

Alice’s first novel SOLITAIRE was published when she was nineteen. Her YA novels have been nominated for the YA Book Prize, the Inky Awards, the Carnegie Medal, and the Goodreads Choice Awards.

Alongside writing and drawing, Alice enjoys playing the piano semi-proficiently, Pokémon games, and purchasing too many Converse.

Ah so cute!

The adoption one’s great! I love the coloured comics! The 10yrs in the future ones are cute! There are three AU comics in the pack- also cute!

All in all, adorable.

Era corto así que aproveche de leerlo antes de irme a dormir jeje como el título lo dice son varió mini cómics, algunos del futuro 🤭 un Nick y un Charlie más adultos adoptando una perrita, Nick ansioso por una entrevista.
Otros del pasado, antes de darse el primer beso.
Y algunos en un universo alternativo pero de igual forma juntos.
Muy cortos para hacerte sentir algo pero igual están bien.

No tengo mucho que decir. Son mini comics sacados totalmente de contexto, incluyendo uno como si fueran personajes de Harry Potter🤷‍♀️. Me deja indiferente.

➸ the heartstopper universe is my comfort place. i loved all these mini-comics (especially the alternative universe ones because even then nick and charlie still melted my heart.) the variations in art styles (especially the detailed coloured comics and then the simple black and white) were so nice to see, i loved seeing nick and charlie in colour while still having them in their "original" form. not to mention, the adoption comic was wholesome perfection.

➸ i adored the michael and tori cameo since michael was definitely one of my favourite characters in tori's solo book solitaire. these characters were already so familiar to me so seeing them have their happy ending made my heart satisfied.

➸ overall, the mini-comics were heart-warming and i enjoyed every page of them– without a doubt a comfort read for me.

Lo amé. Lo amé completamente y creo que se convirtió en mi safe place.

Heartstopper- The mini-comics, es una novela gráfica llena de relatos cortos de Nick y Charlie.
Me ha encantado la variedad, era una 10 años en el futuro, una de Orgullo y Prejuicio, Harry Potter, Escenas de la misma línea del tiempo, etc. Ha sido lindo leerlos en cada uno de esos relatos, me hace recordar lo mucho que los amo y lo dulces que son. También hay un relato que aparece en la adaptación y fue muy lindo verlo.
Nick y Charlie, no cambian, su amor sigue siendo el mismo y eso es lo que más me gusta de ambos.
Si son fans de Heartstopper, tienen que leerlo definitivamente. No se arrepentirán!!!!!

Do świata Heartstoppera zawsze jest ciekawie powrócić zwłaszcza, że autorka komiksów uwielbia wykreowane przez siebie postacie, co widać niemalże w każdym kadrze jej powieści graficznych. „The Mini-Comics” to, jak tytuł wskazuje, zbiór krótkich ok. 10-16 stronnicowych komiksów, które jeszcze bardziej rozwijają podaną w serii fabułę, głównie ich akcja odbywa się w przyszłości związku Nicka i Charliego. Zaskakującym faktem jest jednak to, że komiksy te zostały w większości potraktowane kolorem, co dodało większego klimatu, choć momentami mogło zminimalizować wartość wyobrażenia postaci. Niemalże każda z opowieści została wykonana innym stylem, co pewnie miało pokazać czytelnikom, że Oseman rozwija swój warsztat i próbuje różnych tropów. Nie do końca działa to na korzyść komiksów, zwłaszcza, że kolor zdecydowanie by wystarczył, by jakoś „odświeżyć” historię.

Przede wszystkim mini-komiksy o nazwie „Cookie-Crisis” czy „Flower Shop” są zwyczajnie w świecie okropnie narysowane, kreska jest niewyraźna i brzydka, bohaterowie pozbywają się swojej głębi i ich rysy się zacierają. „The Mini-Comics” to jednak bardzo przyjemna rozrywka, ze względu na to, że przedstawia dalsze losy Charliego i Nicka, pokazuje ich zmagania z wieloma tematami. Podobało mi się również to, że inni bohaterowie, przyjaciele chłopaków czy jego rodzeństwo (uwielbiam Tori, tak po prostu) nadal występują w ich życiu i mają się dobrze. Moim ulubionym mini-komiksem z tego zbioru zdecydowanie jest „The Dream” z uwagi na nawiązania do „Dumy i uprzedzenia”, zaś „Flower Shop” przekazuje, że nawet w alternatywnej rzeczywistości Charlie i Nick są sobie przeznaczeni. „Adoption” jest równie ciekawe i zwyczajnie urocze. Dla fanów całej serii must read, zwłaszcza jak lubią tą historię 💕.
