The Enchanting Fae #3

Cursed Siren: The Enchanting Fae

Rate this book
In Arcadia, Summer has fallen to a terrible curse.

Escaping from the sunken city of Caeris didn't solve my problems, surprise, surprise. All it did was land me in another impossibly crappy situation. What it also did, though, was help me strike a deal with an unlikely ally.

Captain Mordred.

When I find him, I get him to agree to take me to the one person I should probably avoid like the plague - the Pirate Queen of Arcadia. There, I hope to find answers; answers about my past, my present, and my future.

What I get is way more than I bargained for, and soon I'm fighting for my life and the lives of my friends. The Queen is every bit the lunatic I thought she was, but she's also so much more... and I can't say I'm not convinced by what she has to say.

With the fate of Arcadia in my hands, it seems all I do is keep failing. This time, I have to get it right, because if I don't, Arcadia will be changed forever.

Cursed Siren is an action-filled adventure in a fantasy world, with a funny sidekick, pirates, mermaids, and a slow-burn romance! Welcome to Arcadia, a land of beautiful monsters.

Le he puesto 4,5/5 ⭐️.

Fascinada. 💫

Oh this is the last instalment and it's just the perfect ending for this series.
We are getting answers we waited for since book 1, we discover the big vilain and we still have a lotof of fun moment as well as some romantic one and some full of anguish....really that's the perfect mix.
The story start right where precedent book finishes so i can't recommend you enough to read the series in order it will be worth it

*Thoughts*

Cursed Siren is the third installment in author Katerina Martinez's The Enchanting Fae trilogy. We once again travel back to the world of Arcadia where our heroine, Kara Shaw, has escaped the underground city of Caeris, home of the Summer Fae, along with Bubbles, Delora, and Captain Damon Blackstone in a jellyfish submarine. Unfortunately, Kara and crew crash and end up in the hands of Captain Mordred who has been wanting Kara's Leviathan Trident since she arrived in Arcadia.

Just Gave Up Half-Way Through…

😮‍💨 I’m so sad I couldn’t finish this book, just as much as I am for wasting more of my time trying to push through when I already felt like I wasn’t going to make it from the start. The story arc was going somewhere 60% into the book, but then took a sharp left turn. The main character is extremely frustrating to follow. She’s so naïve and her logic is terrible, despite the fact she acknowledges the obvious and then goes full 180 with her choices. I found myself rooting for the villain… you know the plot failed when it wants you to root for the MC, but you end up preferring the antagonist and honestly think the book would be better without the MC. What’s even more sad is that I really wanted to like this series and I know the author could’ve done much better with the character development. Could’ve been an amazing series, but just flopped IMO. I still like the author, but also felt let down. Hopefully next series is better.

Secrets and revelations swirl in the water around Kara. She’s already been betrayed more times than she wants to count, but this is Arcadia, and nothing is quite what it appears to be. This time, Kara needs to not only survive the coming encounter but also come out of it victorious. This was exactly the way I needed this series to end. I was kept both on the edge of my seat and laughing through this whole book. And let me tell you, that’s a pretty precarious position to try and read in, because it’s a sure bet you’re going to fall. Fall I did. In complete and total love with Kara, her allies, and their story. I’m so glad to have all my remaining questions answered, but I’m sad that I have to let go of this amazing bunch of characters now.
I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author.

This has been an incredible series that has grabbed me from the very first page and our female mc is still in trouble. From the very beginning Kara hasn’t known who she can trust especially when in Arcadia and she has gone from trouble to more trouble but she is still kicking and fighting to win the day. It’s been one hell of a ride or should I say swim and this final book had my heart in my throat and me hanging off the edge of my seat with all the twists and turns and surprises most of which I did not see coming! Kara finally gets some answers to her questions , cracks open some secrets and discovers some betrayals and I have to say that the author did an amazing job with the ending. This made me laugh, this made me cry and this had me in awe and I am sad to see it come to an end! Absolutely loved it.

I’ve really enjoyed this series even though I’m afraid of water, and since this is the last book, I’m sad to see it go. This latest has poor Kara fighting for her life and the life of her friends. It’s just that the line between friends and enemies isn’t as clear as it used to be. We learn some secrets and minor betrayals, and some joyful news. I was amazed at all the action and just everything that happened. I was almost dizzy. While I hate for this to end, I was very happy with the way everything ended. A fun, thrill-ride sure to please. Recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.

So…Im feeling conflicted about this one. The first book was absolutely delightful, the second was a bit scattered, and this one just feels….I don’t know, underdeveloped? I was disappointed that several things weren’t really tied up and I also think the world building could have been better. Don’t get me wrong, this author has a great story full of vibrant characters here, but I really would have liked some explanation of the magic that the summer fae wield, as well as some more around the vampirism. Its kind of just stated that its “magic” and they are “vampireish” but without any real specificity. I feel like more depth there would definitely have made this a more satisfying read.

This series has been so much fun and the characters are ones you just enjoy to continue reading and the world building has been phenomenal. There's humor, there's action, suspense, sorrow, some deception, romance, and crazy revelations, you don't know where you're going to end up but you're definitely going to enjoy the ride.

I have extremely enjoyed Kara's wonderfully action packed adventure in Arcadia. I Love the Mermaids and the magical water world that is brought to life in this final book. This ending was superb and great. I loved this series from beginning to end. I love this as much as I loved the Coldest Fae series! I am sad to bid goodbye to these characters that I have loved so much!!! Read It! No Spoilers!
I received an ARC from the Author and I am Leaving this Totally Honest Review Because I think that this is a Great Story!!!

A fascinating ending to a wonderful mermaid tale! Kara goes three so many trials throughout the story in trying to discover her history. She finally gets to the root of things and now she has to figure out how to get herself out of the tangle she got into. There were enough surprises and twists to the story that I thoroughly enjoyed it. I will miss this world but I know Katerina will give me more stories with excellent twists!

The wonderful conclusion to this adventure in Arcadia with the Summer Fae and pirates.

This was such a good series. I really liked how this wrapped up with several twists I did not see coming, two of which were very tear inducing.

Some very typical piratey jokes and some creepy creatures as well as a splash of romance really made this a great read, I'm sad it's ended but there is still one season left to be written about of Autumn in Arcadia so I hope that happens sooner rather than later!

Well, I didn't see that ending coming, and I love that! I've read so many books that I'm rarely surprised, but this final book caught me off guard. Katerina Martinez paints such a clear picture of Arcadia, I feel as if I've been there! Kara, Blackstone, Bubbles, Delora, and Mordred tie up this amazing series, but it felt like their adventures together were just beginning. A MUST READ!

Good but slightly disappointed

I enjoyed this third book. I just feel the ending wasn't fulfilling. It seems it was rushed to end and could have been explained or explored a bit more before ending the story. Perhaps there will be a follow-up story to explain the somewhat cliffhanger.

Brilliant

I am as usual amazed by the twists and the turns off this series, I've lived every stage of three Stooges, the final eye opening endings in each part of the series were clever and exciting. The story, the characters and the entire series finally explained, must be read from one book to the next. I definitely will recommend Katerina Martinez .

Perfect ending

I choose a 5 star rating because I was taken on an adventure. While the trilogy was a light read I couldn't put it down. I wasn't mired down with needless set but given romance and adventure

Liked the ending...

and the rest of thebook even more than I thought I would. Interesting plot twists in a Fae world quite different from most depictions.
