All The Days is a swoon-worthy and emotionally uplifting contemporary romance set on the beautiful Welsh coast.
"Be Brave. Be Honest. Make All The Days Count." That’s the motto Lara Quinn has clung to ever since surviving a violent crime. Now, almost a year on and still struggling to revive her old life, Lara retreats to her quiet hometown with a plan: Keep her head down, music up, and avoid any drama. Simple. Until a meet-cute-worthy collision with an Austen-quoting actor throws a spanner in the works.
Theodore Jackson’s life is nothing but drama. Fed up with being in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons, he takes a role set in rural Wales, away from distractions. Except for Lara. Her shy, creative mind speaks a language that he’s determined to understand. As walls crumble and acts are dropped, Theo can finally be the character he was born to play—himself—while Lara discovers that some things are worth the drama…
But the secrets she’s keeping about her past threaten their future. When an unexpected visit from her boss risks exposing everything, Lara must find a way to confront the past and live up to her motto. Theo is her second chance to heal and build a new life—if she can be brave and honest enough to make it count.
You'll find a celebrity dating slow burn, a full playlist, a 'Mr Darcy in biker boots' hero who has a thing for winky emojis, a best friend who doesn't know her fairies from her elves, a musical journal, and a cinnamon roll heroine battling her scars of the past.
______ PG-13 themes. Closed Door. Mild Language.
Trigger Warning: No overly graphic descriptions are given, but please note that All The Days touches on the topics of anxiety, panic attacks, and the survival of a violent crime/stabbing.

A bingeable and touching romance. The MC's backstory was written well, and added more depth to the story. I really felt her horror and pain, and it had me cheering for her as she faced her trauma. The meet cute was brilliant! There were times that the pacing fell away, which meant that this didn't quite hit 5 stars for me, but I would totally recommend this for a good beach read this summer!
Thanks to the author for providing me with an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
A massive thank you to Elle for an ARC of her debut novel in exchange for a review!
This book was absolutely gorgeous. I fell in love with the characters and the small town setting. The romance arc was so sweet, and I was rooting so hard for Lara and Theo!
Lara’s past trauma was explored really well, and done very respectfully. Theo was such a gentleman for respecting her boundaries in the way that he did (above the bare minimum folks, above the minimum!!!)
The book comes with a recommended playlist too! If you’re a swiftie, there’s plenty of her songs on there and referenced throughout the book!
This is a must for romance lovers. Its such an easy read that leaves you wanting more. I can’t wait to see what the author does next!
This was such a surprisingly lovely read. Exactly my kinda romance novel - not cheesy, not steamy, but filled with brilliant characters and storylines with depth.

WHAT I LOVED:
💫 Closed-door slow-burn romance with fun characters with depth.
💫 Multiple points of view.
💫 Set on the Welsh coast, a Celtic country like my own, which was lovely to read.
💫 It might be uplifting and fun at times but it also touches on some tough subjects.
💫 Good mental health rep in respect of anxiety and panic attacks/trauma.
💫 The end of every chapter had a song title and artist/band so I loved reading along and then asking my 'Alexa' device to play the track - this was such a fun way to read it. It helps round up the emotions of the chapter.
💫 A love story that wasn't cheesy, but down-to-earth/"real" and had depth.
💫 A totally bingeable contemporary romance that definitely should NOT be judged by its cover.
**Thanks to Book Sirens for an advanced copy of this book in return for an honest review**
“Surviving is instinctive. Living is what takes courage.”
*This lovely ARC of All The Days was shared with me in exchange for an honest review.*
⭐⭐⭐⭐💫/5
Elle Jayce does a beautiful job of tackling violent crime trauma from a victim's point of view. With characters that were dynamic and felt real, as well as a story line that flowed so well, I was hooked.
PS if you love the music connection, there’s a playlist you can listen to while you read! Personally, I stopped at each song mentioned in the book and listened to it before continuing to read and it created such a connection to the characters. You can listen to the playlist here - https://open.spotify.com/playlist/1yh...
Here a few things I enjoyed: ☑️ There were multiple lines that made me actually chuckle out loud 😄 ☑️ I genuinely liked the characters in this story. They were sweet, dynamic, funny, and all around people I could connect with. ☑️ As an American who loves to travel and learn about different cultures, it was a joy to read and look up the different Welsh phrases scattered throughout the book. ☑️ I loved the mirroring throughout the story of Lara healing to older buildings being renovated. Still the same building, still standing, still beautiful but also changed and new.
Here something I wasn’t keen on: ❎ I wish there had been more of a balance between Lara and Theo’s POVs. Theo’s felt too surface level and out of balance with the story told about him. I am okay with the story telling style of having one main POV and inserting others’ POV here and there to help get a different look at the main character. However, if this is the goal then I do not think the book should be billed as dual POV. All that to say, I liked Theo and wanted more!
Quotes that stuck:
“We all have things in our past that we’d like to change. I think it’s more important who you’re trying to be. And who you want to be in the future.”
“That’s the magic of music, it can transport you anywhere.”
“After all the things we say about change– change is good, people can change– that doesn’t make it any easier to accept when it actually happens.”
“You can’t walk forward if you’re holding onto something behind you.”
“Surviving is instinctive. Living is what takes courage.”
First off, I would love to give a huge thank you to Elle for an ARC edition of her debut novel, All The Days 🤍
All The Days is a contemporary romance set on the Welsh coast. It follows Lara Quinn, a violet crime survivor who has one goal: to avoid any drama. Less than a year after her traumatic event, she runs (quite literally) into Theo Jackson, an actor whose life is filled with nothing but drama.
What spirals from that one parking lot event is an emotional, touching, and romantic story of two characters trying to find their way again. — All The Days was such a pleasure to read! It was sweet and romantic, while also touching on topics that don’t appear very often in romances. Elle Jayce did a great job of describing the characters and their emotions throughout the book, really allowing the reader to feel their emotions. The romance was intertwined beautifully with each characters own healing process.
Two tidbits that made the book fun were the inclusion of a playlist and the Welsh references! Both added flare to just your every day, typical contemporary romance.
At a glance of All The Days: — Celeb dating — Coastal town vibes — Integrated playlist
My Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Again, thank you Elle for allowing me to read and review your debut novel! I loved ATD and cannot wait to see what you write next! 🤍
Thank you so much, diolch yn fawr, for picking up my book and giving it a chance. ♥️ All The Days At a glance:
Slow Burn, ALL the feels. Celeb Dating. Small (coastal) Town Vibes. Integrated Playlist (lots of Taylor Swift). An Austen-quoting hero who has a thing for winky emojis. A Cinnamon Roll Heroine battling scars of the past with the help of a journal. And a tattoo covered, charmingly... umm... complicated boss. ___
I'm fighting against my imposter syndrome here, but yeah, I'll give it 5 stars! 😂
All authors are their own worst critics. Partly because writing is such an emotional, living thing. The way we feel about what we read changes with our mood and situation. And now, even though it's published, the story never ends. Characters live on. A chapter may have 15 pages, and a conversation may only be 4 lines, but in my head, it continues. I know what these guys are up to off the page (and after the fade to black 😜). I remember the scenes which had to be cut. So, does a story ever feel 'finished?' Nope. Will there always be things I want to improve on or do differently? Absolutely.
And that's why I'll keep on writing...
ATD will always have a special place in my heart. It kept me going through lockdown, it's been such a learning curve, and it was so much fun!
This is an ARC review and all opinions are my own! “He set his elbows on the table, resting his chin on clasped fingers. “The world is full of good-looking people, Lara. That doesn’t always make them beautiful.” ~ Theo Jackson
Oh my gosh, I loved this book. The characters and the plot were wonderfully executed and I couldn't decide whether I love Theo or Lara more. First off, if you're not reading this book with the playlist, then you're losing half the experience! Read this while listening to the music and I promise it will take this book to another level. I'm not one to listen to music while reading if the book has a playlist but this time I took a chance and it was so incredibly worth it!! I loved each of the songs, most I could see as clearly as a movie being played with Theo and Lara. I absolutely adored Theo Jackson from the moment he was introduced (how could you not?) and I really enjoyed seeing both Theo and Lara grow to trust one another despite their past traumas and insecurities. They grew together, making one another strong as well as helping each other realize that there are still good people out there. To me Elle Jayce took a wonderful beautiful couple and let them experience a relationship that went beyond superficial borders, to truly look into one another's souls and minds. Between rugged good looks, brown eyes, scars, and curves, Theo and Lara found a heart similar to their own and I so absolutely enjoyed reading their love story. I'm also so incredibly happy that there was no love triangle in this novel, but instead had a wonderful array of supporting characters from Lara's friends, family, fellow DAYS members, or Theo's group of friends and family. This novel was exceedingly wonderful and Elle Jayce did such a fantastic job of taking a normal romance story and adding layers upon layers of beauty, depth, meaning, angst, and growth. Definitely worth five stars!
Wow, simply wow. I’m in awe that this is Elle Jayce’s debut. I’m completely blown away by her beautiful storytelling and I’m just giddy about her future as an author. I loved this book so much! I was immediately captivated by this story from the very first two lines. From beginning to end, I felt such a range of emotions — from fear and heartbreak to humor and levity to tender and heartwarming moments. Here’s what I loved… (this may be spoilery — reader beware)
•”Most people saved their memories in a diary. I saved mine in a playlist.” •Theo and Lara’s meet cute/not so meet cute •Theo not wanting to leave Lara alone •Lara’s friend group •Lara and Olivia BFFS4L •Jenny and DAYS •Star Wars date and references •Theo quoting Mr. Darcy - swoon! •The way Theo makes Lara feel •The way Theo sees Lara - “Beautifully wild, I thought, just like a fire.” •”Because you’re right. I’m not the man you thought. But I’m working on it.” •So much mutual pining!! •The van - double swoon! •Theo’s persistence and patience •Lara working so hard to overcome trauma •Lara standing up for herself •Communication without words •All of the music •So much more!!
Lara overcame so much in this story. She’s a heroine you have to be patient with — just like Theo. And ughhh…the ending. Theo is just a big ooey gooey yummy cinnamon roll and he and Lara are perfect together!! I can’t say enough good things about this amazing debut!
Thank you to the author for an advanced copy. My thoughts are my own.
I really enjoyed this book. It wasn’t a light read, so it took me longer to read than other books of a similar length. Given some of the serious subject matter in the book, I wanted to take the time to read, absorb, and then come back to the book without rushing through the pages and chapters.
I really appreciated the character development of both the female and male main characters. They each experienced life changing events, albeit the FMC’s was far more devastating, and are trying to forge new paths. I felt the book took us on a journey of healing for both the MCs, as individuals and also as partners to each other. The author showed their flaws, their strengths, their hesitancies, and all of that made them feel real. I finished the book feeling that while the MCs got their HEA, they were still doing the heal and grow, as individuals and as partners.
I don’t give out five stars easily; they go to books that not only have I enjoyed and would recommend, but that I would re-read again because I feel that I have more to learn from the book. I also hope this will be a series as I would love to see where these two MCs go, along with making some of the supporting characters in the book MC in the future.
I received an advance review copy for free via Book Sirens, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Oh my gosh I love this book. Jayce does a fantastic job at creating a love story that is authentic, real and down-right swoon worthy. Laura, the MC, is the type of character you read and feel as if you instantly know her, she isn’t annoying or jarring in her faults, just a real girl who is trying to love herself and recover from her trauma. Theo is everything you want in a hero, he’s a cinnamon roll who is also working on becoming a better version of himself, plus he quotes Austen books!
I loved watching them grow together and navigate their relationship. Neither were looking for love, but sometimes life has other ideas.
If you love to read contemporary romance, trust me, you will love All the Days ♥️ I already can't wait to read it again.
This author is now on my watch list and I can't wait for her next books.
Lara is victim of a violent crime who is taking it day by day to learn how to recover from what she experienced.
Theo is an actor who had an accidental run-in with Lara - who is also recovering from baggage in his own past.
All the Days is Elle Jayce’s debut novel and already I am wanting more stories from her. Her writing style is captivating, her characters are beautifully developed, and this book was hard to put down.
I swooned over Theo & Lara’s interactions. Cried at the telling of the attack. I fell in love with the slow-forming friendship/relationship formed between the two. The plot felt so real & relatable because nothing was rushed. (I cringe when plots rush the relationship and severely downplay any past that may be impacting the character).
Easily a 5 star read and one that I would happily read again & again.
I would like to thank @byellejayce for sending me an arc in exchange for my honest review.
Wow. What a book. I was absolutely hooked on this. I liked seeing how Lara dealt with all she had been through while trying to navigate her future. From her past experience she now feel like a different person, and simple things like going out or playing with her band are now daunting. Theo stumbles into her life and the connection between Theo and Lara was clear from when they met. I was rooting for them the whole way through this book.
There is also a soundtrack on Spotify to accompany this book which is a lovely unique touch but definitely added to it.
I’m giving this book five stars and I cannot wait to read more from this author. Well done Elle Jayce on your debut novel.
I was very surprised with this book, I thought it would be about an instant love after a meet-cute, but it was very deep and emotional.
Lara Quinn is dealing with a very traumatic experience of her life. She moved from London to a small town to restart her life. She found the group Days, a group to help damaged people to survive and get moving, and by chance she mets Theo and handsome movie star, also with problems of his own. Now it's time to Lara find the courage to fight for this love. This couple it's cute and romantic but makes us suffer till the happy ending.
I liked the small town people, Lara's friends and band members and this book has a bonus as there's a great playlist, that you can listen on Spotify.

Big thank you to the author for sending me an ARC of the book, please note that despite this, my review and opinions are 100% honest ☺️
I completely fell in love with Lara and Theo, and got so swept up in their lovely story. As a British person (who also lived in Wales for a few years) I loved all the little sayings and phrases that reminded me of home! Paired with Elle’s fantastic writing, the book was like a nice warm hug after a long day.
I thoroughly enjoyed this. In fact, I loved it more than any romance/rom com book I have read in ages, and I truly mean that! It was super refreshing and I honestly couldn’t put it down.
All The Days is out 1 August, and I strongly urge you to get yourself a copy. You won’t regret it!
This is a great debut novel about two people from very different lives who meet by chance. There's a movie star, a secret ex, a slow-burn romance, besties, lies, and betrayal. The entire time, I was rooting for Lara and Theo to get together, but there were quite a few obstacles that got in their way. Reading the novel, which takes place in Wales, made me want to visit, have a cup of tea, and check out the beautiful countryside where Lara and Theo's relationship developed.
The writing was excellent, the character's internal thoughts were what distinguished the characters as two very different people, and the supporting cast were friends that you'd like to have in your life. It was a beautiful story about overcoming trauma, embracing your past, trusting after past hurts, and moving on. It was a reminder that your past doesn't have to define you.
I highly recommend this novel.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I was kindly gifted this book as an ARC by the author and I loved it. I would recommend reading the trigger warnings for this book before buying, as it talks about trauma, PTSD and anxiety. The author has included these at the beginning of the book, something I loved to see.
I was just blown away by how beautiful this book was. So much so that I cried in multiples places, enough that my fiancee had to check I was ok.
I fell in love with the main characters, Lara and Theo. Both have been through hard experiences in life, which would make anything nervous and scared, but it was beautiful to see them open up to each other and break down the walls that they had built up. Just so beautiful and something I’ve very lucky to say I’ve found.
Obviously I’ve got to mention Liv, Lara’s best friend. She is bubbly and a breath of fresh air. She has all the qualities of a best friend and is always there for Lara.
Also Lara is a Swiftie so how could I not love her.
Lara Quinn is living and trying to cope with the aftermath of the horrific violent crime she survived. Theo literally collides into her world one day jumbling her quiet routine life. Can she overcome the lurking shadows of the past for the sake of her future?
This was such a beautifully written, well put book. The writing style was so gripping with great character development. Smiles, laughs, and tears where no strangers to me while reading this one.
Incorporating the days countdown angle was remarkable. We got to witness Lara’s daily journey to self-healing & the brave steps she’s taking to take lead of her own life. It was handled with respect & didn’t feel rushed. Let us be honest, nothing like can be overcome quickly. Lara, the strong courageous survivor.
Theo really set the standards high! Jane Austin quoting .. are you kidding me! It was so wonderful seeing how intuitive he was to Lara’s every feeling, discomfort, panic sensation, & smile. They both grew into this relationship. They grew into trusting each other despite their trauma and insecurities. They broke the other’s wall through love, time, compassion, understanding, and respect of boundaries. We got to see many layers in this relationship when exposed showed more depth, vulnerability, rawness, beauty, acceptance, and growth. I personally adored how they communicated without the need of words. A look. A smile. A body reflex. All were enough to say more than words can express.
Their relationship is goals. A relationship that cares less about those superficial matters and over exaggerated emotions. A relationship where you value your partner’s feelings, heal their soul bit by bit, encompass their mind workings regardless how unreasonable it could be, and be in tune with their thoughts. One built on understanding and kindness. Anything more beautiful than this?! Not really. All the emotions were felt; all transcended across the pages held in my hand right into my heart without asking for permission.
Big kudos to the author for such a wonderful execution in terms of the storyline and more specifically how the characters were built and the journey they underwent to overcome their demos and shortcomings to make their relationship work. End of the day, they both fully deserve a second chance; their second chance to happiness. What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.
Thanks to the author for sending me an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
You want to be cocooned in a whirlwind of emotions, get this one.
Title: All The Days Author: Elle Jayce Hero/Heroine: Theo & Lara Tropes: Celebrity/Small Town Romance
TW/CW: Mentions of a violent attack, mentions of recovery, on page panic attacks,
THE GOOD 😀
Over the last few weeks I’ve read some impressive debuts and All The Days was no exception. The book hangover is real with this one. The characters, the setting, the storyline all came together in one of the sweetest and most heartfelt books I’ve read in a while. Lara, our wonderful heroine, is back in her home town in Wales, where she is looking to rebuild her life after suffering a horrific attack in London. Running into Theo (no, literally, she runs into his car door), she finds herself drawn to him. Theo, a famous actor in town filming a period drama, finds himself enamoured with Lara, and from here a beautiful story about growth, inner strength and learning to trust again unfolds. Seriously, I’m smitten right now. Not being your typical celebrity romance, the story mainly focused on Lara and her recovery. Told in the form of journal entries and days counted since the attack, we got to really see into the character of Lara, and I loved her interactions with Theo, they had so much chemistry. Theo also had his own growth arc throughout the story; having made some bad choices back in LA, he wants to get back to who he used to be, and find that one person he can trust and find happiness with. I don’t want to say too much as I wouldn’t want to ruin this wonderful story for you, but I will say that if you read this and either don’t get choked up or have the biggest smile on your face, then words will need to be had. Definitely one to buy in paperback for my collection.
THE BAD ☹️
Ugh Daniel. Into the smarmy creep wheelie bin he goes.
Thank you to the author for providing me with a copy of this to read. This is my honest review.
OVERALL THOUGHTS: All the heart eye emojis, I seriously loved this story STEAM LEVEL: 🔥 STAR RATING: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I received a gifted copy from @booksirens, in exchange of an honest feedback. Thank you for this great opportunity to enjoy this ebook.
Talking about what was in this book, it was truly hard to put down in following Lara’s journey of growth as she learned to cope up with her anxiety relating to her trauma. It was a story that you will be rooting for the main character’s happiness until the end. I absolutely stayed with the book to make sure that she received what she truly deserves. In every chapter I finished, I played a song from the playlist, which I realized I was completely absorbed in this book.
The author developed a slow burn theme throughout the book, because the two main characters struggled with their past experiences and communicating about what they truly feel deep within them. It was a good thing that there were dual POV’s. It had helped me to understand their personal emotions and easily to connect with them. This book conveyed the importance of trust, honesty and the value of communication in a relationship.
Overall, just like other romance books, this one has a lot of potential. Actually, it’s a great summer read! I find this love story so simple, heartwarming yet thought-provoking.
Here are a few favorite quotes I’ve took away with me:
The people who matter will know the truth.
Did you mean what you said before—that you believe it’s more important who a person is trying to be and who they want to be, rather than who they were?”
A fairy tale for modern times with caution and humor What Lara refers to as “Day Zero” is her no good, terrible, horrible day…when she died. One of the most endearing stories that I’ve ever read but don’t be fooled, there will be anger inducing and emotionally charged moments too. Beautifully written story with awesome word pictures. This book will touch every nerve ending but make you better for it. Lara Quinn was physically attacked. She lived but she finds it hard to move past “Day Zero” which is how she refers to that awful day. When she meets Theo, the handsome actor who is in her town for a location shoot, her life begins to change. Can Daniel let her go? Wonderful meet-cute between Theo and Lara. Will they find the happiness that they both deserve? Loved the songs that Lara uses to encapsulate her days. This is truly a must-read if you like well-written romance with several great characters, love and angst. Superlative story. As I sit here with tears dripping down my face, I must say this was a beautiful story of how to survive and do it well. As Lara so succinctly says, “Surviving is instinctive. Living is what takes courage.” I volunteered to review an ARC of this book through BookSirens. It deserves many more than 5 stars.
I chose this book based on the first page. Lara is choosing her song that represents the day, not a diary entry, but a song. I'm not a huge music person but I liked that concept so much I decided this was a book for me. Indeed, music does permeate the entire novel and at the end I found that there is a play list on Spotify. Bonus!
Lara is a construction designer who has been through a trauma resulting in PTSD. She meets Theo, an actor who is ready to drop his bad-boy image. They tentatively start dating in her tiny little village where Theo is filming. Lara knows this will go no further after the film wraps and resolves to keep her emotions out of it.
No spoilers but anyone can pretty much guess where this all leads to. I enjoyed the journey very much, occasionally humming the song of the minute. I haven’t ever had to deal with PTSD, but I felt the subject was written into the story in a very sensitive and appropriate way. I was viewing two characters who cared for each other and were about taking the time to really know the other. I definitely look forward to more from Elle Jayce.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
All the Days is a tender love story exploring the aftermath of trauma and how it affects relationships. Lara Quinn is a young woman struggling to move on after a vicious attack when she meets Theo, a charismatic actor whose good looks and ability to quote Austen charm her instantly. As the book progresses, it's clear that Lara's insecurities don't just stem from the attack: her boss and ex-boyfriend's toxic behavior did a number on her as well. Elle Jayce handles the effects of abuse with a realism and grace that left me with hope when both Theo and Lara manage to leave the ghosts of their past relationships behind and finally turn to each other. The misunderstandings seemed to drag on a bit in the finale of the book, but the sweet epilogue more than made up for it for me; I found myself tearing up a little at Lara's success and the happiness she and Theo have found together. Elle Jayce is certainly a new author to watch for romance with depth and realness tempered with the sweetness of humble, down to earth heroes and heroines. I can't wait for her next novel!
Thank you so much to the author for sending me an ARC of this book. All The Days releases on 1st August 🥳
Lara is such a strong woman. I fell in love with her grit, her awe-inspiring urge to live despite what she'd encountered.
Theo was so attuned to her body language and mannerisms that nothing ever escaped his notice. He was also adorably awkward at times despite being this famous actor. So cute 😂 quotes Austen too. How sexy is that?😍 Absolutely swoon-worthy as Greg said 😂 My longtime celebrity crush is Theo James by the way, so the whole time I read I was picturing him 😂
Their first kiss by the beach 🥰 piggyback rides and walks in the sunset, these two were just a beautiful couple 😍 Their willingness to bare their souls to each other despite their skeletons was wonderful to see.
It was a celebrity romance that didn't have the typical paparazzi and tabloids, which was refreshing. Set in a Welsh beach town, it was laid-back and I loved it. Wonderful debut from the author. I'm excited to see what's next 💃🏾
Thank you so much to BookSirens & Elle Jayce for allowing me to read a copy of "All The Days".
Overall, I rated this book a 4/5 stars! For a debut novel, I have to say just how much I thoroughly enjoyed it - and that's saying something, because I am not typically one to enjoy famous people, insta-love type romances!
It tells the story of Lara, who has gone through a traumatic experience that she's been trying to forget for the past year. She accidently meets Theo, a well-known actor as she is leaving the grocery store.
The trauma that Lara underwent during the flashbacks of this novel was depicted on point. I also liked how Theo was so understanding, patient, and kind with Lara as she started to move back into a relationship scenario after David, her ex, was unable to handle the aftermath of Lara's trauma.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
The description of this book was what originally drew me in. The female main character is working to reestablish her life after a violent attack, and the male main character is a celebrity actor trying to escape the drama of the Hollywood life. The storyline revolves heavily around the female main character and I would’ve love to see a little bit more from the male character’s side as well. I definitely thought it was great seeing how she develops a new life post her as she calls it, day zero. Overall the story is sweet and heartwarming. The pace moved along quickly and I would recommend if the plot sounds intriguing. I received a complementary copy of this book and all thoughts and opinions are my own.
The writer really put a spell on me, and I was not able to put the book away.
Loved how Lara was able to put everything in perspective and was able to form her own opinion.
The writer was able to give people who have gone through this kind of trauma a voice. The alternating point of views between Lara and Theo were refreshing. And although it was not a chronologic story, you were able to easily follow the storyline.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Love this story so much. I knew it had been written by a FanFiction writer. I’ve read those stories and have come to believe some of the best non published writers are there in that format so this story was something I looked forward to enjoy reading.
And I did.
I loved the way Miss Jayce gave us the backstory for her heroine, Lara Quinn, and the trials she went through yet survived. The author uses mental health as a back drop for this, so be warned. However, every time she did, I not only was moved to tears, I kept reading through them.
When the main characters have their meet cute, it is just that. Lara and Theodore Jackson have a winding road ahead of them for this relationship to work. Throw in some best friends, old flames, and lots of heated looks, you will fall in love with All The Days. Let yourself get swept away to Wales, perhaps your heart mate is there. Just as Lara’s was with Theo.
Looking forward to Elle Jayce’s next work which I will order in advance. That’s how much I loved this book.
This was such a good book. I enjoyed every moment of it. I loved how the chapters were organized with different points of views and flashbacks to the past. Definitely recommend!
Side note: I received a copy of this book in exchange for a honest review
All The Days by Elle Jayce is a good, and enjoyable romantic comedy read. The story has a good story line. The characters are good, and they have good chemistry. The story will leave you feeling good. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
AHHHH this was so beautiful!!! 😍😍😍 I literally can't explain how much this book means to me, like seriously! All The Days is a beautiful, deep, gut wrenching, emotional, heartwarming, cute, cozy, sweet and adorable (with all the cuteness overloads!), and all around amazing romance about two broken people who find love and healing in each other. I'm not even exaggerating when I say I've never read a book that’s touched and moved me as much as this one has. ❤️ This book has ALLL THE FEELS and all the cozy, heartwarming vibes. ☺️ Elle Jayce created the perfect combination of adorable meet-cutes, Austin-quoting heros, and swoon worthy romance while also dealing with hard topics in a way that pulls you in and makes you root for the characters with everything inside of you. I've never read a contemporary romance book that dealt with sensitive things like this until All The Days. This books is about a violent crime survivor, so contains flashbacks to the event, severe anxiety, panic attacks, and other effects and mentions of such things.
The way everything connects is so wonderful! You start reading and you see that each chapter has “Day 340…” etc, and at first you don’t think anything of it, but then you find out what it means, and how that AND the title go together, and you’re just like ohh that’s what that is!! And then there’s literally a playlist on Spotify that goes along with the book, and when it lists the song at the end of the chapter or whatever you can go listen to it and just be completely immersed into the story. How cool is that?! 🤩
Where to even begin about this beautiful book… I’m having a hard time writing this review, but that’s because I have so much to say and I want to say everything perfectly. 😂 Let’s start with the characters!
Lara Quinn is a survivor. She’s broken, hurt, scarred, and trying to move past the big thing that changed her life completely. She’s listless though, unable to get back to normal life, until she runs (quite literally) into Theo, the handsome actor who has the ability to read what she’s feeling and make her genuinely smile. I absolutely LOVED her character, her personality, and the way she was written. While nothing traumatic has happened to me like her, I was able to relate with her insecurities, doubts, and fears and really liked how it was handled. I loooved seeing her grow and loosen up through the progression of the book. Lara has come a long way and I’m so proud of her!! THEOOOO!!! 😍😍😍 Let me tell you, this man is FINE. 👌🏻😍 He’s attractive inside and out, quotes Jane Austin off the back of his hand, is incredibly sweet, loving, caring, insecure but tries to hide it behind his confident swagger, is an actor, and is all around PERFECT!!! 😍😍😍😍😍 I swooned, grinned, and fell deep in love with him more and more every page. I need a Theo! 😆😂 I love how gentle he was with Lara, and how he knew what she needed and didn’t push her when she wasn’t ready to talk. You could tell how much he cherished and wanted to protect her, and just aghhh my heart this man!! 😍
All of the side characters were written great!! I loved Olivia, Lara’s band mates, the DAYS group and Jenny, and Theo’s family. I really REALLY don’t like Daniel. For now. He’s so toxic and the perfect example of brokenness turning you bitter and angry instead of making you stronger. But I believe everyone deserves a second chance, and am looking forward to his story in the sequel, where I know Elle Jayce is going to completely break him so he can change and grow into a better person. 😅😆 Honestly he’s written so realistic as a complex character who wants to do good but just doesn’t know how after everything he’s been through and I respect that.
The story of these characters, their journeys to finding themselves, and their growing love was so adorably sweet and I literally couldn’t stop reading it!! Add into it that it’s set in Wales and I’m sold. All of the little phrases and culture things was so cute and cozy!! 😍
While I absolutely love this book and will never stop singing its praises, All The Days, while not explicit or anything, isn’t completely clean either. There’s a bunch of cussing all throughout the book, though never the f-bomb. And the romance is closed door and could get a bit steamy at times, with multiple steamy make outs and a couple of implied s*x. It never describes or show anything, the scene fading out vague enough that you don’t see anything, but you know what’s going on. The author handles it well and doesn’t get too descriptive or anything, but it is still there, as well as them later mentioned to be sharing the same house while dating. Like I said it’s not written in a lusty way (I who prefer my readings to be clean wasn’t very uncomfortable reading it) and can be easily skipped if you don’t like that sort of thing! Also as I said before it does deal with some heavy topics, with talkings of and describing the attack, so be aware in case that’s something triggering for you.
That said, All The Days is such a beautiful, rare gem of a story that I don’t even care and am willing to make an exception on the content for it. 😆 If you’re okay with having some (while not descriptive or smutty) steam in your book, I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend this beautiful and emotional book to you!!! You won’t be disappointed, I promise!! 😍😍😍
