Frequency: The Power of Personal Vibration

Rate this book

Because science has long taught us to rely on what we can see and touch, we often don't notice that our spirit, thoughts, emotions, and body are all made of energy. Everything is vibrating. In fact, each of us has a personal vibration that communicates who we are to the world and helps shape our reality.

In Frequency, Penney Peirce shows you how to feel your personal vibration and work intentionally with energy to transform your life. By learning to find your "home frequency" -- the highest, most natural personal vibration you can attain -- you can maximize clarity, minimize struggle, and discover new talents and capacities.

Awakening to the new reality that a higher frequency reveals can help you dramatically improve relationships, find upscale solutions to problems, and materialize a life that contains everything you need. Frequency shows you how to manage your energy "state" so you can stay on track with your destiny -- and reap the benefits of the life you're truly built for.

Absolutely magnificent! This book really clarified for me the power of human thought, emotion and inner images on reality from a scientific approach. The world is made of energy, which is why our technology works the way that it does. This book is about our 'human technology'. Penny Pierce ties together the purpose of our lives, how to create transformation and feel more at peace with who we are as our world changes.

The exercises are very effective as well. I feel more empowered to do what I feel in my heart and be who I know I am.

The book may be off the deep end, but I love it anyway. I wouldn't call it very scientific though. Like this part, when she is talking about a wave:

"at the crest... in physics terms is when the wave has become a particle. ... when the wave turns at the trough ... in studying physics this is where the particle becomes the wave."

Really? That makes no sense to me, and I read a good bit of quantum physics books. I could be wrong, but from my understanding, the wavicle (because it is both, acting as a wave in some experiments and as a particle in others) acts as a wave when you don't observe it, and when you do, it collapses into a particle. It has nothing to do with the crests or troughs of the wave (how can a particle become a wave at the trough when a particle doesn't have a 'trough'). They can't even measure the wave because as soon as they try, it turns into a particle, so they wouldn't even be able to see its troughs or crests.

She lost some credibility when I read that, but I eventually got over it and enjoyed the book anyway. I think she just sees the trough as a valley that something falls into and becomes dense, and views the crest as a hill, something to surmount, wider and more spacious. I get it, but not scientific, and not in physics.

This is the best book I have ever "used."

I will give a long review below that is necessary for me to explain how magnificent this book has been for me. For those of you that aren't interested in my story - I can tell you that if you have ever pondered existence, intuition, coincidence, energy, realities, unity, spirituality, clairvoyance, consciousness, enlightenment, quantum physics, personal development, transcendence, transformation, happiness and more - you must own this book. This is the only book I have ever read that seemed as if it was written directly to me. This book gave me what I have been seeking. It has given me a clear and easy path to follow to become the person I have always hoped to be and it is working!

Now for my long review: In March 2009, my wife was fighting for her life at Riverside Hospital in Columbus Ohio. I was financially ruined and perceived myself as a failure. Sitting in the chapel completely defeated, I threw in the towel. I wanted to know why I was failing and suffering so badly and told the divine source that I believed was present that, "I quit. I don't care any more. You take control of my life and give me the knowledge I desire so I can have peace." And my journey began.

A few months after the trauma in Columbus I found myself strolling the streets of Yellow Springs Ohio, with my recovering wife and children. I remember clearly it was the first day in a very long time that I felt a sense of peace and being present in the moment. I thought it was coincidence that I found an old book with writings by Kierkegaard, as that day I had been thinking about the meaning of it all. The day I finished reading the book, "Basic Writings of Existentialism," written by Gordon Marino, arrived.

My quest for knowledge continued and my passion for reading was out of control. It is important to note that I rarely finished reading books in the past. Now, I'd finish a book and another would arrive. After existentialism my interests changed to Buddhism and I read a few books on the subject. From there I jumped into books by Deepak Chopra. After Deepak, I started reading entheogen experience books as I was fascinated by DMT and the experiences of those that experimented with like chemicals.

I threw in a couple life after death books and then stumbled onto: "Tranceformers: Shamans of the 21st Century - Second Edition Revised and Updated for 2012," by John Jay Harper. That book really got me interested in the unified universe, the zero-point field and the great consciousness that may hold the knowledge of everything. "Tranceformers" also answered a lot of questions for me and influenced a shift in my consciousness. I was amazed by the proven powers of intuition and the fascinating topics regarding DNA and a universe driven by consciousness, not matter.

I watched a three hour string theory documentary on PBS, and from there I read numerous books by Paul Davies, John Gribbin, David Parrish, John James, Bernard Haisch, and Ervin Laszlo. Each of the books were significant for me and I noticed myself changing as I started to understand the world we live in - a unified world of energy and waves - not the three dimensional world I had been trapped in.

I have become more passionate and empathetic and even at times worried by my new emotions. I started finding childlike pleasures that were buried long ago. I find much more pleasure in helping others than ever before. I no longer have to be alone in nature to "be in the moment." I find myself much happier and have had things work out in surprising ways.

The problem for me was that I could understand a new holistic world and was excited and often blissful contemplating it but I felt I hit a brick wall as far as furthering my own personal journey of enlightenment; a state I don't fully expect to reach as it is not contingent upon ones will.

The book "Frequency" had appeared in a few of my searches as a possible choice but I had always been one that didn't pay much attention to what I perceived as esoteric works and thought it might bore me as I had such fun pondering "new physics" type books. It did not bore me at all. It summarized my quest, broke new ground and has given me closure. I believe that I don't need to read any other books to complete my journey. Everything I need to know is in this book.

As soon as I started reading this book I knew it was what I had been looking for all along. I laughed with amazement as Penney Peirce described my past in this book and where I am today. Such clarity. She gives exercises throughout that have connected me to what I thought was impossible. I still struggle with my ego that tries to put me in REM while I search inside myself and I have a long way to go. But I know the path to get there is all in this book. And it is a fun path to travel. Buy this book for yourself, your family and friends. I always wanted to have a positive influence on this world and just by sharing this book I will achieve that.

Thanks! Thanks! Thanks!

This was a good follow-along book to other books I've been reading recently by Raphael Cushnir, Deepak Chopra, Gay Hendricks, and Frank Kinslow. Overall, it was well worth the time spent reading it. There were lots of interesting insights and expansions to concepts (like the law of attraction) I've read about previously. Of course, if you want to get much out of this book, you do have to go along with her main premise that the world is currently in a state of transition, moving from the Information Age to the Intuition Age. But at least she's very upbeat compared to how some people see the near future (think 2012 and all the predictions about what's coming next).

Since my job requires me to do so much in this genre, I don't tend to read many of these kinds of books. However, the time seemed to be ripe. As a vibrational healer and medicine woman, this book took so many ideas and broke it into the mainstream. The writing is clear, the exercises work, and my purpose has become clear. Science backs up her claims, and the book takes a refreshing step beyond all the "law of attraction" hype.

I'm reading this book I bought recently, for the second time through. Its easy to read though a complex subject. Each chapter has things you can stop and do to bring further understanding of the material. The author seems loving, intelligent and thoughtful. The message is one of positive improvement of one's awareness of life. Excerpt:

"So not only do you live in a world that oscillates in and out of form, where there are unlimited potential realities evolving simultaneously, where everything is vibrating and waves of energy are traveling in every direction, but inside your body, in the microcosm of your personal life, you're vibrating as well."

I'm listening to this on audiobook and I'm loving it so much. So much here resonates with me, and I feel that I need to get this on paperback because there's so much I want to refer back to. I definitely want to work through the book again slowly and really focus on the exercises. I subscribe to the Law of Attraction and the idea that we are all made up of energy. I love that Penney Peirce gives really great suggestions for how we can implement simple methods to raise our vibrations. Love this book!

I want to hang out with Penney. I’d be like, “where should we get a bite to eat?” And she’d be like “let’s tap into the frequencies of the local restaurants and see which one wants us to come there.” From the way she conveys herself in this book, I genuinely believe that’s how she’d handle that situation, haha. It would be fun to spend time with her. Overall, I enjoyed this book, but I felt that it dragged on, especially toward the end. A lot of it is good intuitive information, but there’s also a lot of pseudoscientific claims that seem a bit ridiculous. For example, Penney claims in a few different chapters that people of drastically different vibrational frequencies don’t occur in each other’s lives. She claims this with certainty. That sounds like a theory, and one I could easily disprove. I wish there was more scientific fact and evidence in this book. However, it’s still a fun, woo-woo time, with wonderful quotes and nuggets of insight sprinkled throughout.

This is my 4th reading of this book. I revisit it every year or so as I have unfolded further and resonate with new understanding. I recommend this book more than any other to my patients as there are so many levels on which it can be read and understood.

This is a stimulating, compelling, comprehensive book about the frequency, vibrations and spiritual science that is part of every human being. The book surrounds itself around the concept of the "home frequency," a state of relaxation and calmness that is our optimal state. Think of it as homeostasis. We can always return to this state at any time of the day, at any moment. In this home frequency state, all things are possible, and all realities can materialize, if the soul deems it right for its development. The author deems that we can connect to others in this state, gain information from a variety of sources, and be far more intuitive. We can function better, be more centered and aware. There are radio waves and wireless waves that transmit information at different frequencies, so it is too absolute to say there can be no waves that are transmitted from humans when the brain and heart are electrical organs. Some of these concepts may sound New Agey, but the author does a great job making her case with logic and resounding clarity. The one concept I was really left with was the home frequency; at this state you are operating at a high frequency. I've never heard of this concept and I'm not sure if Peirce created the term, or if it's been known in the industry. But there is truth to this home frequency, it's the state you feel when you meditate, when you feel present and mindful. It's true, when you're relaxed and calm, and open, things tend to run more smoothly. The book is definitely worth a read, well written and edited, and original in its take. It's a great addition to the collection of books on science attempting to explain spirituality.

"You were born with wings, why prefer to crawl through life?" -Persian Poet and Sufi Rumi

I recommend this book for two groups of people.
Those who are waking up and are feeling some inexplicable spiritual pain, and those who have woken up and need confirmation for their life experiences and synchronicities that is guiding them to transformation.
For the rest of the people, the concepts will fly right over their head and the information and guidance given in the book will be incomprehensible.

The book explains the challenges one will face while going through spirit evolution as their body frequency increases..
Friendships, relationships, living place, emotions, taste, style, health and etc. will go through transformation for the Best.
The author gives comfort to the readers by explaining the benefits of going up the spiral and the signs to look for so they know they are on the right path and have not lost their minds.

Life will psychologically be chaotic till it destroys the old patterns and builds the new You on a higher dimension.

Welcome aboard on Phoenix Flight!

This book summarised in a few sentences:

"We vibrate, we vibrate, we are reborn. Peace is a constant. Entity, look within and fulfill yourself.
Sharing requires exploration. To embark on the circuit is to become one with it. This life is nothing short of a summoning fount of psychic fulfillment. Consciousness consists of a resonance cascade of quantum energy. “Quantum” means an unfolding of the consciousness-expanding. The solar system is beaming with chaos-driven reactions. Today, science tells us that the essence of nature is sharing. Yes, it is possible to confront the things that can eliminate us, but not without complexity on our side. Discontinuity is born in the gap where potential has been excluded. You may be ruled by dogma without realizing it. Do not let it exterminate the knowledge of your story. We exist as electromagnetic resonance."

Plus for a few interesting facts quoted and a great information about the brainwaves and similar phenomena, taken from a different source.

This book bridges the gap between science and law of attraction! I love the scientific data as it relates to energy and the overall message of this book, but could do without the shoddy business examples of “proof” provided by the author. However, the “Try this” portions of the book reels it back in as this is a journey of enlightenment, not how someone restrategized their business plan and manifested results.

In sum, everyone of us has a vibration that emits a frequency (hence the book title). Our personal vibration derives from the perception of our thoughts, opinions, and emotions. If you are stuck in a frequency that is low, then your thoughts are negative and vice versa. So if you want to change your “home frequency” and live a life that is fulfilling, then you must start by looking within. Pierce takes you on a inner self journey to discover what it is that you truly want to experience by exploring the vibration of what that is. At the end of each chapter are exercises that allow you to use your imagination which will reveal how you truly think and feel. Once you have established your baseline, you will discover how you can change your perspective to one that is more comfortable and more “you”. This is your home frequency, a high quality vibration, that accelerates the transformation of manifesting and demanifesting in the energetic and physical field.

Take home message: We are all energetic beings in a holographic field of interconnected awareness with the same access to infinite possibilities. Basically, anything you want is already yours. BUT if you do not believe this, or you think that you aren’t worthy enough, then you will NOT receive it. Look within yourself and find out what is holding you back. Give yourself time and attention to focus on this and you’ll be surprised that your subconscious already knows or has been trying to tell you for some time now. Allow yourself to release the emotional and egotistical blocks to learn the lesson that holds you back.

In my opinion, the book "Frequency: The Power of Personal Vibration" by Penny Peirce is an interesting read. I found the concept of personal frequency to be intriguing and the idea that we can increase our frequency through positive thoughts, emotions, and actions to be compelling. The book includes practical exercises and meditations that I believe many readers could find helpful in their journey towards personal growth and positivity.

That being said, I also think it's important to approach the ideas in the book with a critical eye. While the concept of personal frequency is an interesting one, it is based on spiritual beliefs and is not scientifically proven. It's important to consider the ideas in the book in the context of one's own beliefs and values, and to approach them with an open but balanced mindset. Overall, I believe the book offers valuable insights and is worth reading for anyone seeking personal growth and positive change in their lives.

this is a great book. i love the way she talks about energy, vibration, frequency, prana, chi, flow, god, love.... whatever words you choose to describe it the energy of life and how to work with, rather than against, your own flow. it's especially helpful if you are in the mood for some personal homework which i was when i read it but i think it could be read simply for the description & understanding it evokes.

This book is a wonderful guide to raising your personal vibration. There is a lot to learn and a lot to practice but the author lays it out in very specific and clear terms. I’m so glad my friend Monika recommended it to me so many years ago. This is my second time reading it (first time was before good reads)

The book 'Frequency: The Power of Personal Vibration', by Penny Peirce, first published in 2009, is an inspiring and comprehensive introduction into the topic of frequency and energy. Through her special insights, the author offers the reader an impression of her knowledge and wisdom about the change that goes on with us, while we are leaving the "Information Age" to enter the "Intuition Age", that will bring us a major transformation in the way we receive reality and respond to it. It further discusses the widely popular topic of materialisation (law of attraction) in a much more serious ways, than most other books on the market. A wonderful book, to help us connect more with ourself, and feel that we are all one, that there is no separation.

Pseudo science mixed in with new age mumbo jumbo. Basically everyone has a vibration or frequency they are attuned to and this frequency interacts with others affecting how they act, how they act towards you and what/how they think. The same goes for you. Also there is a universal field that is all pervading and our frequency interacts with this field. Because it interacts with the field we can influence those around us and an unspecified distance away from us. Also our frequency allows us to interact with non-sentient and non living entities.

She may have something here but without solid evidence, not anecdotal, it doesn't equate to science but new age philosophies or maybe religion.

Many independent indicators tell us we are about to experience a rapid transition to a new world — an evolutionary jump of profound proportions that will change the essential nature of who we are and how we understand reality. This extraordinary, practical book is no less than a personal primer for becoming the new human being who will co-create the new world. Transcending the coming chaos is possible with the toolset you will find here. This book is an unprecedented gift for the person who is ready to evolve.

I expected different ideas from this book. When I realized what it was about I kept on looking for values.
I do not say that this book is not helpful, but most of the time I felt disconnection from the reality and the author’s thoughts.
I would recommend this book to those who seek spiritual awakening. There are useful guided meditations at the end of the chapters.
