December 30, 2019Re To Marry McAllister -the super short spoiler version.
The supermodel and engaged heroine in this one meets the hero when he is commissioned to paint her engagement portrait.
The h is super scared and we learn that she was the victim of a stalker attack and is still getting nasty letters.
That doesn't stop the H from putting the moves on the h and she can't help but respond to the HP Lurve Force Mojo, tho no unicorn licenses are revoked.
(There are NO boudoir bouncing moments in this one, just some roofie kissing - CM becomes exceedingly chaste in the new millennium of HPlandia. )
After a visit to Scotland with the H, the h realizes her engagement is a non starter. There is a little H mopey moment when he thinks he lost his chance at the h, but we learn that the h has broken her engagement.
We also learn that it was an engagement of convenience. The h's former fiance literally wanted a collectible arm candy trophy wife and in return the h got protection from stalkery attackers.
Which is all well and good, until the h realizes that the stalker sending the nasty letters is her trophy collecting fiance. He did not like the h doing anything without his approval, so he pretended to be continuing where her former stalker left off - tho physical contact is seriously repugnant to him.
After the H and h declare their mutual love for each other, we leave them lurved up and married, right along with the other two couples of this series, for an average HPlandia outing HEA.

I thought this was great. I have not read the other two in the series but definitely will. The Hero is awesome. I live Carol Mortimer heroes this is the second in a row that i found the hero so protective and caring.

an other disappointment..
so that was the last in the bachelor cousins, as i said before, Carole Mortimer has good ideas, but she unfortunately didn't know how to apply them,
the three books are soo similar, there is always a little mystery, like in this one "To Marry McAllister " Sabina was always scared, just mentioning the letter was enough to make her faint or sick... sigh, it was over reacting, the reason of that fear doesn't deserve all that fear..
anyways that's just my opinion

Not much to write home about. I didn’t feel the romance. The H was sweet and caring but there were just 2 or 3 kisses for the whole of the book. It would have benefited from a bit more steam. After reading a couple of pages I realist that I've already read the manga version, so maybe that took away a bit of the surprise at the end. Pretty boring otherwise.

i found it rather boring. Brice seemed captivated by Sabina's beauty. else, der was nothing much going for her. she lacked personality and was cold on most occasions.
