I had a few issues with SCANDALS FROM THE THRID BRIDE. For one, I didn’t understand the ‘third’ bride aspect. I mean, they were engage once and neither one has been married since. Another was the back and forth and blatant disregard for what the other was saying.

Cade Logan and Katherine Ransome were once happily engaged, but a bride left at the alter tends to leave hard feelings and boy does Katie have anger when Cade suddenly comes back into her life nine years later.

Under the disguise of a charity auction, Cade gets Katie alone and offers her the job of a lifetime, $10 million dollars for six murals. Not only would the money allow her to open more offices, but it would put her closer to reaching the fame of her father and brothers….if only the offer wasn’t from Cade.

Of course the elephant in the room is eventually revealed. The reason behind Cade’s leaving was her father’s interference. Paying him off and saving his brother, Cade was to never be seen again, but now he’s got his eyes set on Katie.

Yet, Katie isn’t going for a second chance with Cade. After the heartbreak of Cade leaving, Katie has put her full focus on her own career and isn’t looking to be a wife and mother anymore.

Cade doesn’t take no for an answer and keeps pushing Katie who can’t resist his advance. Along with revealing more about her father and the reason behind her mother leaving, Cade slowly works his way back into Katie’s life, but she’s still unwilling to compromise.

A fight and days a part makes them both realize the error of their ways and a second wedding is on the way.

The whole book keeps slapping you in the face that its fiction and doesn't pull you into the story at all. There is no element of realism at all.
The h's motivation of accepting 10 million dollars from him for 6 murals is establishing professional reputation which sounds really murky. Who wants to hire a muralist who would charge such exorbitant price (when market rate is between 2000$ to 50000$) especially considering she isn't a creative genius but more of a dabbler with offices in downtown Fort Worth! Another excuse for a motivation she gives is that she competes about how much she earns vs how much her brothers and her dad earns but has no clue what their net worth is except they are rich but runs to them for everything!! She comes across as a blonde bimbo who dithers and lurches from one page to the next with no idea of who she is, what she wants and he on the other hand has no sense of accountability. He keeps breaking his promises to her, even her dad from whom he had taken half a million to stay away and blames her dad for his choices.
