This book consists of four essays which deal with the early scientists and the 18th century writers and painters, with William Blake, and the mythologists who tried to corellate all mythologies, with Henry Fuseli and John Martin. The book is an unusual and exciting exploration of strange dark places and the author has succeeded in making his reader share the enjoyment of his voyage of discovery.
