I was the wrong person for this book. Had I known before I started it that it was intended to be a gift book, I would have skipped it. It has brief essays from Rimes and Brown, and then stories from the website they created for people to share the impact that the song had on them. Most of these stories were about rape, sobriety, abandonment, etc. I didn't find it inspiring, I found it depressing, unfortunately.
