I'm Still Shattered

Rate this book
It’s been three months.
Three months since Azalea’s worst nightmare has fled from her life.
Three months of slowly healing and gathering the strength she needs to fight against him.
But three months isn’t enough to feel safe from his sick obsession over her.
Nothing good comes in threes.
One, she becomes plagued by dreams of a boy and girl who need her help.
Two, she’s closer than ever to helping her sister escape.
Three, her and Chad aren’t able to be intimate as they once were, and not for a lack of trying either.
But when Chad kisses her forehead and whispers sweet words in her ear, their to-do list feels just within reach.

“Save the children,
save your sister,
destroy Florence.
And then you’re all mine.”

Join Azalea in book two of the trilogy, where she ventures through portals and across oceans to find the mysterious blonde who’s helping her creator, control the powers she has forgotten, and get closer to her ultimate goal: KILLING Florence.

Come For The Drama, Stay For The Gnomes
*RECEIVED ARC FOR HONEST REVIEW*
Let me just say the gnomes didn't play as large a part in book two as book one but they play an important role to our heroine and the storyline. Plus there was a well written scene that actually was so darn sweet it made me cry a little. This author really is improving by leaps and bounds in her writing as the story progresses.
It doesn't matter that this is a paranormal/supernatural romance; The author has written a heroine with character flaws and strengths I believe everyone can relate to. The hero sometimes seems a little too good to be true but it's discovered he has his own flaws. They are more subtle; Not as overt and out there.
I like where this series is going and I look forward to seeing where this author goes. Now if I could somehow get my own Fendel the Gnome. Someone help a woman out. LOL.

Three months have passed since Florence fled, and Azalea still doesn't feel safe enough. But with Chad there, things are easier. However, she's being plagued with dreams of kids she is supposed to save, ones she's never seen before. Now she needs to save these two kids, find a way to save her sister and complete her ultimate goal: kill Florence.

I am loving this series! I adore Azalea and the strength she holds throughout every situation she faces. She has so much going on, with the kids, her sister, Florence and not being able to be with Chad, it would drive anyone else over the edge.

The amount of teasing Chad has done and the frustration she must feel at something keeping her from being with him, drove me crazy! I was dying for something to happen, literally anything to happen!

If you’ve read “I’m Still Alive,” you have to get the sequel “I’m Still Shattered!” I love magical worlds that include vampires, witches, mermaids, all manner of supernatural beings, etc., and this series does not disappoint. I received an ARC for an honest review, and I could not put this book down! I will definitely be purchasing a hardback for my bookshelf! Azalea has many hurdles to overcome with Florence, her visions, learning her magic, regaining her memory, and her relationship with Chad.

Azalea is such a strong character that I can’t help but connect with her. So many times, this book stirred my emotions. I was excited to learn more about her past since she is slowly recovering her memory. There are some heartbreaking moments, but also good ones her sister helps her to remember.

From the first book, I loved Azalea and Chad’s relationship. Azalea and Chad are morally gray characters, and Austin has developed their personalities so well. Throughout the book, when different conflicts emerged, I could already tell how Azalea would feel because her character is so fleshed out. I could relate to some of the conflicts in this novel. I was so angry reading about Chad’s family because I understand how Azalea feels. So far, Chad has defended Azalea from his aunts, but I’m not a fan of some of his secrets…. and now I’m on pins and needles to see what will happen in the third book. I can’t wait for the next installment of this fangtastic series!

This is the 2nd book in the I’m Still Alive trilogy. You must read the first book or you’ll be lost in this one. The character development and world building just continue to get better. The characters are written with flaws but also have so many strengths which make them even more relatable and lovable. I have to admit that I love Azalea but there’s a darkness that continues to follow her. The paranormal creatures were an added bonus. I was hooked after the first couple chapters and I didn’t stop until the end. There were so many twists and turns I didn’t see coming. The mystery behind everything along with the ranger that lurks helps her become stronger to do what she need to. And I just love Chad even more. He’s so cruel to her Ina good way. But she has a goal, save the kids, her sister and kill Florence. I can’t wait to see what adventure Jade takes us through in the next book and how it all ends. Especially if she and Chad can finally be together.

I received this book and am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion.

My mind is completely blown to bits. 😜

I am so happy to see Azalea getting more confident with her magic but also herself as well. Let
me tell you, Azalea is a lot stronger than me. If I had a hot boyfriend like Chad who teased me as much as he does her and couldn’t be intimate with him… Girl I would be going crazy. 😂☺️ That would’ve been the first thing checked off my to-do list. 😂 I felt so bad for Azalea and Chad though, they can’t seem to catch a break. Every turn they make with their relationship, it seems someone is always there to knock them back down. Although, I do have a few bones to pick with Mister Chadwick. 😁 He is definitely on my naughty list right now 😁.
There are so many twists and turns in the book. Not to mention all these new pieces coming together and so many new people coming into play that make it that much more intriguing.
I’m eager to see if Azalea will get all her memories back and if her and Chad are truly written in the stars. Oh and I’m with Azalea, I don’t like Lili and also think something is off with her. 🤔

Ok, but this second book got SOOOO GOOD! I struggled with adjusting and understanding the diverse world Jade creates in the first book but once I got use to it I loved it. Jade hit the ground running with the second book! Within a few chapters my interest was peaked. So many mystery’s to be discovered. By the second book you are so intrigued and invested you can’t help but be so excited to see how this story unfolds in the next book. I loved these characters. I loved this world.

The first book was good - this book was GREAT. My favorite part is all the mystery. I’m DYING to know how everything works out in book 3! I also love the way Austin balances humor and dark themes. The characters are as lovable as ever, plus some new great ones. Do yourself a favor, start book 1 if you haven’t already, and then jump into book 2.

Oh my there is so much going on here along with scant answers to everything happening with Azalea. The story progresses and deepens with closure of small details only. I cannot wait for the author to finish the trilogy so I can see where this lands! Great characters draw you in! I am shattered I have to be patient for the next one!

This is the second in Jade Austin’s series, which feature a female vampire MC, a magical love interest, and in this book a whole host of new magical beings and communities! The world Austin created in book 1 gets SO much bigger in this book! And the villains? They get bigger, badder, and bolder as well! It was about a fourth of the way through this book I realized I didn’t want to put it down. There’s so much happening, and I can’t wait to read the follow up! I loved how the MC, Azalea, grew and thrived and came into her own in this book. And we’ve got a great set up for the next book where I think she’s going to get even more awesome! Overall, a great follow up. Questions answered, goals resolved, but plenty of more mystery to be explored further.

As cliche as it sounds, it's hard to find a starting point when talking about "I'm Still Shattered". If you've read then first book, it is crucial to continue on this wild adventure with Azalea and her mates.

Azalea has been training like mad over the three months since the last time she encountered Florence. Her magic and vampiric powers have only gotten stronger. Chadwick is a big help and encouragement when it comes to her training, even with all his royal matter and duties to attend to. She has been getting stronger all around. That being said, I still find her a character I am able to relate to when it comes to the balances of her strengths and weaknesses.

One aspect I enjoy is the focus on the aspects of Chadwick and Azalea's relationship, outside of their physical intimacy. It is even touched upon that they go through a "dry spell" due to what they believe is the amount of pressure and stress they both have looming on them. In any relationship, communication is key. When information and feelings are withheld by either party member, it has the potential to create a rift in any relationship. Since their relationship is so special, I find it important that Austin brings her readers back as she does and reminds them that this is a real couple going through real life relationship struggles: jealousy, balance of time spent together and overall communication.

Austin's focus on the adventure throughout reminds me to that of the epic story of Homer. They encounter more creatures, whether they be more helpful or more of a hinderance. Each interaction is imperative for her growth in finding herself and finding more about her life before getting turned. Her interactions and her visions and leading her down a path of finding out the truth as to who she was before Florence showed up on that rainy night.

I could go on even more but seeing as I JUST finished "I'm Still Shattered" this evening, I need some time to process it more. My feelings were all over the place with this book. Jade, what are you doing to me? Regardless, I am not complaining. When a book makes me feel this much, you know it's a good one.

I cannot wait to start "I'm Still Unstoppable" (Book 3) this month!

***BOOK REVIEW***
Name: I’m Still Shattered Author: Jade Austin
Rate: 4.5🌟 Spice: 1.5 🌶️
Genre: Paranormal Fantasy Romance

~Three months have passed since their last battle against Florence happened and they had reopened the Pub. Now, Azalea has been getting no sleep due to having nightmares, what she calls them! But they are more like dreams of children that need saving and are asking for help!!! Also, she’s been wanting to save her sister Hydie from their father. But the most important task was to get rid of Florence. Oh F***ing Florence!!!! He for sure annoyed the S*** out of me in this book with his evil obsessive self… LOL!!! 😂 Azalea does do something so heartwarming other than save the children! She free/saved the Gnomes!!!💖💖💖 Who the witches (Chad’s aunts) had as trophies!!! 😡 Fendel sure adored the gesture that later on helped her in her mission! Chad now…. Well…. He has grown so much since book 1, but he still tends to keep secrets sometimes towards Azalea. Like not really mentioning who Lili was and how his aunts think she is the one from the “prophecy”. I just don’t know why he is like that sometimes, could it be he is trying to protect her? Chad does teach Azalea how to use magic, since she is a witch. Yes, Azalea does find out the truth of which of her parents has the gene. We get to meet more magical characters in this book; mermaids/sirens, elves, dragons and much more!!! For sure this book does have you in a rollercoaster of emotions; happy, sad, annoyed and angry. But it’s all worth it! 😅 Jade you sure did a wonderful job on this book!! But why… why with that cliffhanger 🫣 (me wanting to pull my hair) lol 😂 … I can’t wait for book 3 and know what will happen next!!!! 😬

I absolutely love this series. It's definitely one of my favorites. I can't wait to start book 3 as this one let's off on sort of a cliffhanger. I need to know what's next. However I have complete confidence in Azalea. I know she will find Florence and take him down.

This book is very well written, fun and just a great storyline. If you like fantasy romance, witches, vampires, werewolves, gnomes and more, this is a book for you.

Fast forward three months from the previous book, we find an unsettled Azalea who is finding it challenging to feel safe. An existent sheen of comfort can be found, however, with Chad around. I wasn't completely fond of the Chad's character in I'm Still Alive, but he has grown on me a bit here. Bombarded with dreams regarding strangers she's never met in danger, Azalea finds herself needing to save these people.
Several moments in this book had me in my feels, SO deep, and some had me on the edge wishing I could read even faster. Azalea continues to show the immense strength she harnesses, showing her badass light without hesitation. I can't wait to see how far she'll get in her growth moving forward!
Jane Austin was already amazing in her writing in the first book, but you can see more growth throughout the writing in I'm Still Shattered, and it's mind-blowing. I feel blessed getting to read and see her growth as an author, excited for whatever else she may create in the future. As I've said before, don't get left in the dust; read these books!!

I’m absolutely in awe of this series 😭 I feel like there was always something to look forward to. Deep down part of me just KNEW the pink haired Azalea was in fact real, and that I hated Lili, understandably so 🤣 I cannot wait for the third book to be out. Part of me feels crushed I can’t read it yet, but the other part is so grateful to have gotten to read an amazing series! So many emotions and feelings tonight!

I absolutely adore the relationship between Azalea and Fendel. They truly are the best of friends. I also love Abigail’s and Azalea’s relationship! Abigail loves Azalea more than life itself. I feel like there has been so much character development among the characters and I have loved every bit of it. When Azalea became extremely depressed I felt as though I could also feel her sadness and pain. I related all to well to the overwhelming feelings. The anger I also felt after finding out about Chad and Lili 😅 it was insane but nonetheless I loved every bit of it!

Trigger Warnings.
So this book (book 2) comes in at 3 months later when things are definitely haywire. Jerk Florence has disappeared & Azalea goes on the hunt to find him & hopefully end him. Parts of her past have finally come to light & then she finds out she needs to save her sister & some kids also. Her & Chad are having kind of a bump in their relationship. The writing is still great at the details to help you see their world. I definitely couldn't stop reading as I wanted to know what happened next, so to say I'm ready for book 3 is a understatement as I need to know how this whirlwind will end.

Azalea’s journey continues as she tries to find Florence and rid the world of him forever, yet the whole time she seems to be battling other demons. The ones she can’t get away from. This heroine is so unique. She’s incredibly strong and yet so very vulnerable. She wants to save everyone knowing that she doesn’t have the training to do so. How could one young witch save an entire world when she herself is brand new to that same world? Watching her battle at every turn gives me such a connection with her. She’s stronger than she knows and I truly believe in her abilities, though she doesn’t even know how amazing she is!

Uhm?.... literally such a boring/forgettable story and throwing every mythical creature they can in. The last 100 pages were pretty good but not good enough to add stars. There was no reason for this book to be almost 600 pages. Also I can't stand when girls are so petty 🙄 like let's get mad about something that happened when we weren't in a relationship. Very amateur writing. Hopefully 3rd will redeem

I absolutely love this series, and now Azalea and Chadwick are on my top 10 fictional couples list.
At first I felt a little bit bad for Florence, but then I remembered everything he did. A therapist would have a field day trying to pick apart his mind, but knowing him, he's more likely to kill the therapist before there is any actual progress.
