This is the second book in Faye Pearce's Brutal Hunter series and I am now looking forward to book three.
How could he find me here in the middle of nowhere ? I changed my name, I was no longer Helena Russov, spoilt mafia princess, I was Sofia Petrov, a lowly cello teacher at Creekview Middle School, my brown hair is now a blond bob and my designer clothes are now from supermarket shelves but Nikolai Volkovich, powerful Russian mafia boss, had the means to find her, he wanted her dead.
Much to her surprise, Helena was enjoying being Sofia, she loved sharing her love of music with her students. When the uncle of one of her favourite students asks her for a date she is flattered but what would a devilishly handsome, obviously wealthy man want with a lowly music teacher, Sofia should have followed her gut instinct but the powerful chemistry was too strong to resist.
Daniel Columbo was tasked by Nikolai to kill Sofia, his reward would be an alliance with the Volkovich thus restoring his family's power, little did he know that she would be a beautiful temptress.
The story follows the abduction and captivity of Sofia, her fear and the magnetic attraction that still pulls her toward her abductor, the deep love that develops, but will it be enough to keep Sofia safe ?
This story has a HEA but there are still some loose ends that I assume will be tied in the next book.
I received a free copy of this book and my review is voluntary.
