I thought I was inheriting a life of glitz and glamour, but all I got was a castle that even a reality television show wouldn't touch. After inheriting Darkmoor Manor, I was ready to start my new life living in a castle. Instead, what I found inside my new home was a world full of chaos and things that make even grown men cry. The basement leads straight to hell and the only ones stopping demons from reigning terror on earth are four gargoyles... and me. I was taught to fear monsters, but with time running out to stop the demons, I'm left with no other choice but to trust the monsters that turn to stone. Will we succeed or will the demons bring hell right to my doorstep?
Looks like Aspen and Jenn have jumped into the monster romance craze and I'm the one that benefits. Darkmoor Manor was a fantastic monster reverse harem. Set in a cozy town, has a beautiful castle, demons on the lose, and sexy as sin gargoyles with an adorable gargoyle puppy, of course I was in love with it.
The main character, Angie, is a curvy girl who loves books and works in a bookstore but when she finds out she has inherited property from an unknown relative she jumps strait in and the excitement doesn't stop. Darkmoor Manor really was a fun read. Angie is a little freaked out at first but she jumps in really quick, this was a fast burn standalone with so much steam it could cause a fire. Angie is so sweet, she's a cinnamon roll, how she is suppose to be a guardian for a portal to hell is beyond me but she is determined to do her duty with four hot gargoyles by her side and a few extras thrown in as well.
I like Angie she realized the situation pretty quickly and didn't run away from it. Angie is actually pretty durable, good thing too because a lot of stuff went down in this book would have sent most running. There was murder, an coup attempt, demon attacks, Lucifer himself (who I actually liked, a lot) not to mention a weird witch with a stuff cat. This story was very interesting and felt complete expect for the ending which leads me to believe that a companion novel might be in the works, at least I sure hope so. Angie's guys are great, they're all protective of her and completely in love, the bond between them grows quickly, it shows in their actions and decisions. They put her safety and happiness above everything, all of her mates are happier when she's happy. They become a family and it's sweet as well as hot, some of those scenes between them were fire.
Darkmoor Manor was a fun and quick read with well developed characters and an interesting plot. Truth be told they could have made this into a duology and I would have loved it but it works well as a standalone too. I highly enjoyed this book, Jenn and Aspen most definitely have another hit on their hands. I'm just hoping for another book set in the same universe is coming because I can't believe they would just end it like that without any answers to that one big question they left readers with.
This was a great book. Angie is a fiesty Fmc and the men in her life are protective and super hot. Angie inherits a manor and has no clue about the life she has just been dropped into. Many secrets come to life and she realizes that the world is completely different from what she thought. Great standalone book.
Angie is such an amazing FMC because she rolls with the punches and does so with a snarky attitude. I really enjoyed all of the different personalities, I personally wish we got more of Roq and Ru because I really liked them. This is a very fast paced and fast burn standalone, so if that’s what you are looking for this is the book for you.
Jenn D. Young and Aspen Black present Darkmoor Manor, an RH PNR with MM, too!
This was an interesting mash-up of some of my favorite fictional genres. As the story unfolds, we find the bookstore employee, and lover of all books, unexpectedly gifted with a manor home, that has gargoyles that make an appearance. There are also witches, and guest appearances by some other sexy (don’t want to spoil the surprise) paranormal creatures.
This was a fun and very steamy read, that involved our female mc and her group of gargoyle men…plus?
A delightful story. Darkmoor Manor, by authors Black and Young, showcase their wonderful cowriting talents. The main character is a quirky, plus sized woman who is thrust unprepared into the supernatural world. A world filled with gargoyles and demons. The characters are unique and the story was engaging. The steam level is high heat, fast burn. If you are looking for a quick and fun read then I highly recommend this book.
The premise was really good, but unfortunately it is an rh-cliche ridden book full of insta-lust and very one-dimensional characters. Sadly I lost interest half-way reading the book.
Was this what my life had come down to? Sex and danger? Because from where I stood, that's all I'd been experiencing. I could do without the danger part, but the sex? Yeah, I was a greedy bitch and wouldn't be giving that up any time soon.
Angie speaks the truth, folks. Escaped prisoner, missing amulet, inherited manor? Let's pause and FYI - that wasn't a complaint!
Each of the gargoyles really did have their own 'voice' and characteristics, which was impressive considering the shorter length of this book! The addition of Enzo, while at first felt unnecessary, did amp up the group interaction and dynamic between the sheets, so who am I to judge ;)
First things first the cover as usual is gorgeous.
Now onto the juicy bits, why oh why can't I have an uncle Alfred I mean why meeeeee.
Angie omg she is a girl after my own heart, nothing beats getting lost in a book and I mean nothing.
The guys oh my gosh I can't even tell you which one I preferred I loved gregori he is such a brooding alpha, stryga omg he made me smile alot even if he was a grump, ruarak is such a beaut and then there was baroque the sweetheart but ok I lied my fav had to be Enzo, actually nope can't make a fav they are all mine lol
Really did love this book hope to read a standalone about Lucifer and Kenzie and there little romance.
Well done Jenn absolute steaming hot book and them MM scenes holy hotness I need more

I received an ARC of this book and it is wonderful! I loved this book from beginning to end. Love Angie and her men. Each gargoyle has their own characteristic that you love. Let's not forget to mention the demon detective, Enzo, from Hell..literally. And who could forget Fuego, the loving gargoyle dog.
This book had many twists and turns that will make you read to the end. Also, the cliffhanger of an ending will make you laugh a little. Great start to the series and can't wait to read more!!
I love a good read involving gargoyles and this one was awesome! It’s a well written paranormal collaboration, exciting and very entertaining as we meet Angie our mc. Sassy and full of snark and wit she thinks she’s getting a glitzy life but low and behold nothing is what it seems, ever!! Instead she gets Darkmoor manor with a basement leading straight to hell being guarded by four hot gargoyles. It’s full of adventure, twists and turns, a few surprises and of course some steamy moments and I loved it!
Very enjoyable and entertaining read. Lots of intrigue, action, and of course steamy encounters to keep you hooked from beginning to end and the characters are unique making this a helluva of read. I also hope we get to read about Lucifer and Angie friend Kenzie something tell me there romance there. As always my reviews are totally voluntarily and no monetary compensation was received and the opinions I have expressed are completely my own.
Angie gains more than a house when she's approached about a long lost uncle's inheritance. A chance to start a new life with exciting adventures awaits her if she just accepts reality isn't as it seems. Mystery, flying, fighting and rewards are all part of the action as well as on sassy best friend who just rolls with the punches.
Such a great, fast paced and steamy read. I love Angie's snarky character. Thrown into the paranormal world without having any clue about her bloodline, she never imagined her world would turn into the books she thoroughly enjoys reading. I do hope after that ending we get a book with dear old dad Lucifer!
I love a good Gargoyle story!! y’all are amazing story tellers and I loved this book! Please tell me we might get to see what happens to Kenzie after that ending?!? That was probably the best ending I’ve ever read! I was dying of laughter! I love Enzo! He’s probably my favorite of Angie’s men lol. Such a wonderful book!!
Loved it!! Off the charts hot!!!! So much steam.Fast pace and a good read. Really enjoyed this book. I couldn't put it down. Sad that it's over. Hopefully there will be a spin off. Loved lucifer hope he gets his own book. A must read!!!!
A very descriptive and beutifull plot. We can almost see the house. The Gargoyles are so juicy and really make us want to have them! Our FMC is very interesting and the interactions with the monsters and her is very hot. Great book!
Super fun gargoyle and demon love and fun times story. I really enjoyed getting to know the supernatural world through Angie's eyes and those yummy scenes oh my so hot!! Totally loved all the MM scenes too!!
This book was a really good read. It's really really fast burn and insta love. Angie inherits the manor of her recently deceased and unknown great uncle Alfred. But it's not a simple manor she is meant to keep the rif safe so demons can't wreck havock.
Gargoyles come alive at night and became steamy hot 🥵🥵 gargoyles men Gregori the captain Ruarak the flirting one Stryga the brooding Baroque the quiet giant. A nice unexpected addition was Enzo a demon and son of Lucifer The 🥵🥵🥵are crazy hot and you won't be left with hunger for them. If you want a quick read and a fast burn it's the book for you.
Reverse harem isn’t one of favorite genres, but I don’t mind reading it. I dived into this one, and this didn’t take long for the action to kick in. I really liked Angie; she’s a spunky person with no guile at all. It took no time at all for her to amass her harem, and together they fight a big bad while forming their bonds. This is full of insta-love, hot action (whew!), and a little suspense. I also loved the addition of Angie’s friend because all women need a friend. Recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.
This book is a fun and sexy read. We get to see a woman think she is getting what she wants to find a dark and supernatural spin. This book will keep you reading. Absolutely loved
If you've been following me for a while already, you know that I prefer plot with sex over sex with a plot. However, you can't always know for sure which one you're gonna get. In this case I got curious after reading the plot and I also really like the author, so when I had the chance to read an arc I decided to give the book a chance. After all, what's the worst that can happen? If a book is not my thing I can simply say so and move on to the next.
I quite enjoyed this book in the end. Yes, there was quite a lot of sex in this book, more than I usually like in my books, but there was also surprisingly much plot in this book! And although the fighting scenes were mostly quite a bit shorter than the sex scenes I was sucked into the world and the mythology. Mostly because this world and the way Young wrote it opens the door, pun intended, to a lot more stories set in the same universe.
Even though the book is not that long, I really had the feeling all characters got the chance to shine and show themselves. Most of the guys, and of course our heroine, got the chance to tell at least a little about their life and why they became who they are nowadays. And even though there was not that much room to give all the characters much depth it was not too hard to tell everyone in the story apart.
My favorite part of this book might have been Lucifer, though! He doesn't even have such a big role, although I have the feeling that this might change in one of the future books, but it was love at first sight. He's confident, he's strange, he's out of this world, he's powerful, he's a little weird and it's quite clear that even though he rules hell, he's also in for a little bit of fun. I can't wait for Lucifer to be one of the heroes in one of the next stories!
Darkmoor Manor by Jenn D Young Aspen Black is a fun fantasy paranormal RH gargoyle romance story full of banter and steam that will please any fantasy loving fan!
Angie, a book loving orphan, is shocked to discover that she had family after all—family that left her a surprise inheritance of a castle. But of course our spunky, sassy heroine soon realizes there’s definitely more to this castle…and the four intriguing gargoyle statutes that protect it. When discovers are made that rock Angie’s world, she can’t help but roll with the punches and get closer to the intriguing “men” residing at her new place.
This story was a witty captivating read that I couldn’t put down because it flowed so beautifully with amazing characters, and intriguing plot smoothly and a phenomenal storyline. With hot sexy gargoyles, demons and Lucifer himself what could go wrong?
Overall if you’re a fan of fun, unique, quick and easy steamy romances then give this one a try as it’s a super fun read filled with hot sexy males, a feisty heroine and tons of secrets, discoveries and adventure that’s sure to please any reader!
DNF at 30% Did I read another book, cuz I can’t explain this many 5 star ratings.
In the first few pages, the Fmc blacked out 3 times and had sex with 2 of the 4 men. I’m all for fast burn but come on I need more than ONE sentence before the smut.
And what absolutely horrified me was that Cora was described as a 11 year old girl but actually being an old soul, did our fmc know that ? No
So why in the fucking world does she get JEALOUS at her because she thinks one of the mmcs maybe slept with her. Like girl that is a CHILD u should be horrified or literally anything else then jealous. This scene had an absolute foul taste for me.
Also the constant speaking her thoughts out loud were so fucking annoying, like as if you don’t get it that you are speaking out loud instead of thinking ALL THE DAMN TIME
I wouldn’t really recommend this book, there are far better monster RHs out there.
Good standalone This is a great quick read as a palette cleanser or in between series! Nothing dark in there at all, but of action drama and plenty of hot supe s€x 😃 After inheriting Darkmoor from a great uncle she knows nothing about Angie ends up in a supernatural world she knows nothing of. On top of that she’s responsible for a doorway between dimensions, however she is aided in her role by four gargoyles who happen to also be her mates and with each other….Throw in a fluid demon prince and it’s 🥵 they need to work together gargoyles and demon prince as natural enemies but now all Angies mates to bring down the ‘big bad’! Would have been good to see more of Roq, I felt the harem was rather more focused on Enzo , Gregori and Stryga with occasionally Ru but very little of Roq especially in a lot of the group stuff. But overall an alright read 😀
Is it hot in here or is just this book? Steamy romance fans...do you like sexy monsters? A strong female? Scenes that will make you blush in public? A paranormal mystery? Then this is the book for you! Angie has inheritaed a mansion. Turns out she has also inherited a job to guard the portal to hell. Talk about a shocker. And to that the gargoyles come to life into sexy beings. This book has it all - steamy scenes, drama, humor, heart, adventure, mystery... And in audio...omg...so hot! A must listen/read for reverse harem fans. I hope we get more.
Jenn D. Young & Aspen Black have written another great read. When Angie finds out that someone has died she didn't even know was a relative & that she is inheriting a manor she doesn't know what to think. What happens is all out wild. This book has a very snarky main character & I loved that about her. It is PNR, RH, & has some MM action also thrown in. It was a very good read.
