“We can’t help loving sleuth Kylie Kendall. . . . We’ll follow her wherever her brunette ambitions take her.”— Girlfriends
Kylie may still be a private eye in training, and she may still be reeling by the secret her business partner finally revealed to her. But nothing can compare to her family’s interference, even from far-away Australia. When her mother asks Kylie to check in on “distant” relative Doug “Dingo” O’Rourke, who has landed a TV gig in Los Angeles, Kylie realizes she has no choice but to do so. Dingo, though, wants nothing to do with an interfering private investigator, despite the fact that something dreadful is worrying him.

About 4 or 5 chapters in, I remembered that I had promised myself never to read another book in this series. The writing or language is awful. So cheesy and stupid. I haven't finished it yet, and am not sure when I will. But I do vow never to read another Kylie Kendall mystery, or at least until they are written better than the 4th grade level.
A quick fast read, but still not a great or even good book.

I started this series in June. I just now finished the fourth book and it took me forever to read. I know this is a five book series but it seems like this was the one she hurried through to get to the end.

I would recommend for those who like to get out of the cottage cozy mysteries and for those (like me) who are trying to finish the series already.

When her day starts off by confronting a developer whose has his eye on demolishing the block where her detective agency - and her home - is, Kylie Kendall's day just goes downhill from there. I don't want to take up a lot of space by listing the subplots, but rest assured there is plenty going on involving the people in Kylie's world. If you have enjoyed than previous books in this series, this one is right up your Aussie alley!

One of the better books in the series.

Series continues following Kylie as she trains to be a private investigator. In this specific book: she's been asked by relatives in Australia to look up an Australian working in Hollywood, specifically as a dingo trainer on a Australian themed show. In the meantime: a real estate developer is harassing Kylie and the PI agency because he wants to buy their land but they don't want to sell; there are threats that on the live of the dingo on the show; and Kylie & Ariana's weird 'relationship' continues sputtering along.

"The Dingo Dilemma" sees Kylie yet again embroiled in Australian affairs. Even though she is in L.A., thousands of miles from her family, it doesn't stop them from sending her on various errands.
Cousin Brucie, very definitely not Kylie's BFF, turns up on her doorstep. Then her mother asks her to check up on Doug 'Dingo' O'Rourke, dingo whisperer, who has landed a job on a TV series (Darleen Come Home) - a remake of Lassie/Skippy, but with a dingo in the main role. Doug has been behaving strangely - though considering how chaos trails Kylie "strange" could be considered the new usual.
Arianna, the object of Kylie's adoration, is still caring for Natalie, and Fran has gone completely over the top as she stocks up for any apocalypse possible.
Meanwhile, the property developer and all round bad egg, Norris Blainey, wants to demolish the building Kendall & Creeling call home. He's also involved in Darleeen Come Home.
It's a fast and fun read with a mystery thrown in to keep it going - and, as usual, the mystery doesn't get solved so much as it solves itself.
I quite like the series and only wish there were more, possibly concentrating on the relationship between Kylie and Arianne, even after four books it is very much one-dimensional.

I don't care about the mystery, I just want to hang out with these characters. Normalize short story mystery collections with the same characters throughout!
