I really enjoyed this book but I have to say I was not too fond of the hero after how he acted with heroine. I really liked the heroine for being so strong around him but I still think she should have made him suffer a bit longer! The ending….. I really need the next book as I didn’t realise it would have a continuation!.

This is my first time reading Elena M. Reyes and that book is part of a duet, that definately ends in a cliffhanger.
Isabella is a strong heroine and she is bound to be the wolf king's mate - Xadiel. They are meant to be each other soul mates, but before they do, they face a lot of challenges. He is after the people who killed his mother and sadly she is the person that he blamed for it. Beside that, he can't ignore the mating pull towards her, but he tries so hard. That results for him to trying to reject her as his mate. His wishes are worthless, because after all she is his mate.
I didn't like some of his treatment towards her, because I can see that he was hurting her (not phisically at least, but she was still hurting). I was soo glad that towards the end he was trying to redeem himself and she didn't forgave him straight away, even that she loved him. Dark secrets are revealed in their world and they finally managed to be together.
The smut between them was soo soo god and deserved all the waiting and building up to it ♥️. I love the sexy scenes with them.
Sadly troubles are knocking in their door, straight away after they are mated... and we are given a strong cliffhanger that makes you want to demand to read the next book straight away 😁.
We will find out what happens next when "Half-truths: Now comes out in early 2023.

Half Truths, Then by Elena M. Reyes is the engrossing, spellbinding story of Xadiel and Isabella (Little Moon). Isabella is a witch and a seer. But she isn’t able to alter her visions of the future…only know they are coming. Xadiel is the werewolf King and Isabella is off-limits for him because of a vow he made when his mother was killed.
Their tumultuous relationship could end tragically. Outside forces can completely destroy them…and their pack. Shocking ending that ends in a cliffhanger and I am soooooooooo eager to see where it leads!!!

I knew without a doubt this book was going to be good.
It exceeded my expectations. It was better than good.
The Alpha King and His little moon. (Totally cute pet name)
Xadiel never anticipated his mate. The Family she came from and who they were and what they had done.
So he rejected her. It was the wrong choice to make.
Trust! He should have had trust in her.
I have loved reading Little Lies and Love Bites by Elena and couldn't wait to get my hands on Xadiel and Isabella's book.
It was intriguing, full of suspense and holy freaking hot alpha king that will make you swoon.
I'm absolutely looking forward to Half Truths: Now.

This is the 3rd book in the series and the first book in a duet about Isabella and Xadiel.
A werewolf and a witch, what a fascinating combination.
Why fate decided to bind the two together we'd never know, but the combination is definitely interesting and exciting.
He's a shifter, a wild beast that hate all witches.
He's also a brooding alpha wolf prone to violence and foul temper.
But whether he likes it or not, she's his mate.
She is an innocent victim of deceit and lies. Power games that others play against her family to take not only the power position, but also her secrets.
Her love to her family makes her vulnerable, but she's strong, smart and determined.
I can't tell you how the book ends because it's the first part of a duel, but anyway the story is very entertaining and interesting and don't forget, scorching hot 🔥😉

ARC review
I haven’t read a paranormal romance in awhile! I enjoyed the book and finished it in one sitting. It was fast paced and flowed nicely. The MMC’s internal conflict about rejecting the mating bond was also done well — which was really great because sometimes it can be cringe but this was good!! Although, Xadiel had some moments that kinda annoyed me but overall his character was just okaaay. On the other hand, I really love Isabella. She’s what made the storyline good and her perspective + powers was really interesting. She was such a level-headed character and I like how she made the other characters likeable and interesting.
I am interested to read more about this world and how it all progress. The plot of this book was good but I kinda wish there was more angst, but that’s just me 😅. Overall, I enjoyed reading this and I am also interested to read the other books relating to this world 😃

I'm a HUGE fan of Elena M. Reyes, so no matter what I say, I'll always read any book she releases. That being said, let's get to it. Isabella is a strong heroine who I loved, but the man who is her mate, alpha wolf Xadiel, well I didn't quite love him as much. See, tragedy happened, and from that moment on, he swore vengeance on the enemy & it just so happened that Isabella is the daughter of that enemy. It didn't matter to him that she was his mate, nope, he couldn't see past needing his revenge so he treated her horribly. To say I was in a blind rage at some of it would be putting it mildly, so it's safe to say this book put me through it LOL! They do have serious chemistry though which begs the question, how long can he keep her in the rejection box?! Of course there's a lot more at play in this story so the twists were coming in hot leading to a brutal cliffhanger. Now I don't know what to do with myself since I need the conclusion pronto, and maybe just maybe, I'll fall in love with Xadiel. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

It’s a tale of witches and warlocks & werewolves and fae. Of fated mates and rejection and of mystery and magic. After a deadly attack on his home Xadiel swears vengeance on the alleged culprit, the witch queen and death to any witch who has the misfortune to trespass on his land so when Isabella crosses his path a year later he instinctively knows she’s his mate but not only is Isa a witch, she’s the daughter of his mortal enemy causing him to reject her but he doesn’t know that unnamed forces are at work manipulating the truth for their own ends.
As I’m not a huge pnr fan I was surprised by just how much I enjoyed Half Truths: Then. I really enjoyed the storyline although I was confused with the three epilogues and where exactly they come in the timeline especially considering this book ends in a cliff hanger. I loved the characters especially Isabella who, as a seer, carried the weight of the world on her shoulders and the reactions of her mate, although understandable given the circumstances, crushed her. It was also a different twist that Xadiel had remained a virgin for his fated one. In any shifter book I’ve read previously it was a bit free and easy when it came to sex and didn’t really count just so long as they didn’t mark anyone. Whatever the steam factor in this book was very low level perhaps due to the difference in their heights. After all Xadiel was seven feet tall in his human form so the mind boggles at just how he and Isa made it all work without throwing something out. Perhaps they had a chiropractor on staff at the royal court….

Little Moon🌕
Having read Ms.Reyes's work a couple of times before i've been wanting to pick up more of her books! When i found out there'd be more books set in this series i was so glad! I immediately started looking forward to this third installment. I picked it up and got right back into the Fate's Bite world. I so enjoyed it!
Isabella and Xadiel's journey captured my attention right from the start! When alpha wolf Xadiel finds his mate he never expected it to be a witch. Rejection of his mate, Isabella seems like the only way to go. Can feelings change? Or were their hearts never meant to align? I couldn't wait to see how it'd all play out for these two in this book!
From start to finish both Isabella and Xadiel had me going through many emotions! I didn't know how these two would tackle everything and that had me turning the pages even more. The chemistry between these two and feels they brought were so good! I could picture things so clearly throughout reading their story as well which i so enjoyed!
It was fun being back in the Fate's Bite world!
With Half Truths: Then, Ms.Reyes has created such a good read that had me feeling so much! I am so looking forward to finding out what happens next in the fourth installment, Half Truths: Now!

I didn’t know what to expect when I read Half Truths I was so invested in the book I honestly only put it down because I needed to go to work. But it was good I liked both Isabella and xadiel they both were strong didn’t want to give in well more like one was fighting more than the other. When I start d reading I right away knew who the culprit was and I’m surprised xadiels dad didn’t mention anything to him about his suspicions or what he had felt about his mom and like Isabella said I did t understand how he didn’t see that there was more to the whole witch coming after them. Isabella made him work to get her back and I’m happy she did because like I said usually the females always forgive easily what the male did to them and take them back like nothing and i get excited when they make them really work for it and make them really see that they hurt them. There is so much to say about this book but can’t without giving it all away you just need to read it it’s really good.

This book was interesting, to say the least; I have incredibly mixed feelings about it. First of all, what was with the whole try-hard hot guy thing? He's two feet taller than her; he's super hot, super alpha. I was just cringing at the description, but other than the second-hand embarrassment I got, I was a bit confused with the plot and character development though I will say the main female character was likable. I liked the minimal steam and the vibes. I got from this book, and the terminology explained at the beginning was very useful. I definitely do recommend it!

this is a complicated love story between Xadiel and Isabella.
Isabella is a witch whose mate is Xadiel a man/wolf. due to circumstances in the past Xadiel refuses to believe his mate could be a witch. witches have taken too much from him and his people and he is set in his ways.
Isabella is sweet and always takes care of others, even if it means she’s going to hurt herself in the long run. she wants to show Xadiel that he can trust her but she can only do so much to get close to him.
there’s so many outside forces that are against them being together and they can have a huge impact on their ultimate demise.
even though things got rocky and I was unsure of the outcome, I really enjoyed this one. it was awesome getting to know all of the characters.
this one ended on a cliff hanger so i’m excited to see what’s going to happen next!!

Ms. Reyes based on our messages at 3 this morning you have a clear understanding of how I feel about this book. This book made me feel things, especially between the couple. Who cries reading a prn book? Yeah, that would be me. I normally don't read a book on paranormal romance but this author is truly phenomenal. This couple, Isabella and Xadiel, were everything to me even if at times my heart hurt. While reading you can't help but fall in love with Isabella this girl was anything but weak. Xadiel was the type of book boyfriend we fantasize about. This book has a little bit of everything. Elena that epilogue got me as you know. This book is not a standalone you must read the first two because this is a continuous storyline. This does end on a cliffhanger.

This is a new author to me and I haven't read PNR in a while but I am so not disappointed in this read! I do recommend reading the others first as it is interconnected. Alpha wolf Xadial has found his mate, what he doesn't expect is for her to be a witch of all things. Since Xadial has sworn vengeance on witches due to them taking his father's heart he does everything he can to stay away from his Little Moon. This was well written with raw, gritty emotions along with some vengeance, betrayal, and twists and turns. Can't wait to read more of this series!- Jacqueline

Ok, first of all this book is freaking excellent. I always am a fan of fated mates, but man oh man is there SO MUCH more going on in this world than just a simple story. It is complex and there are MANY factors standing in between Isabella and Xadiel, that you cannot fathom how things could possibly work out...
I have to admit I was worried that seeing the name of the book that this is just part one, and sadly I was right. The next book is Half Truths: Now and I CANNOT wait for it! I have to admit I was worried that seeing the name of the book that this is just part one, and sadly I was right. The next book is Half Truths: Now and I CANNOT wait for it! This book was fantastic!! I couldn’t put it down and can we talk about Xadiel for a minute!! Lawd this man right here can do all the dirty things he wants!! He will have you not only screaming at him but have you swooning hard for this pure OTT Alpha. Then we have our Little Moon (love me a good pet name) Isabella. The story that is happening with these two is crazy and has so many layers this is not going to be an easy love story to say the least. These two have one heck of an uphill battle but nothing worth having is ever earned without a fight. I cannot wait to get my hands on the next book I need to know what will happen with these two.

Make sure you check trigger warnings. I love when a book has me fully immersed just from the beginning. That is exactly what Half Truths: Then has done. I was immediately thrown into Xadiel and Isabellas’ world. Elena’s descriptions were so vivid I could feel and see everything. If you want a book that has wolves, witches, fae and mating bonds then this is the book for you. This book was incredibly sexy and I loved every second of it! Thank you Elena and Greys for sending me an ARC.

I have to say, I had a bit of a hard time following in the beginning. Xadiel’s name is difficult for me to say and get behind. With this thought, there is a lot going in this story. It’s going to keep you racing to get to the end. Lots of twists and turns. Xadiel and Isabella have much to get through!

What I liked about Xadiel... he was willing to admit his mistakes and follow up on making amends. Perception and truth are not always the same thing, so his knowledge of events causes trouble between him and his fated mate (Isabella).

A thrilling, intense and spellbinding addition to the world of the paranormal. Xadiel and Isabella's story is not completed in this book, but it succeeds in packing in events and detail which left me breathless. Xadiel is fighting to maintain his vow, but the pull to his little moon is immense. As for Isabella, she too gas enemies who have wrought evil on her family..how on earth will this be resolved to my hearts content? That cliffhanger!!!....💖💖💖💖💖

Rejected mate theme. They both had good reason for rejecting their mates. Xadiel should have done a lot more groveling in my opinion. I liked the plot twists even if I did see them coming from a mile away. Although that may have been by design.

I'm not sure if it's because I haven't read the previous books in the series, but I was a bit lacking in the worldbuilding background, but in any case we were focusing on a more specific conflict between peoples, so it was OK.
It was cool watching the main mystery unfold and its consequences, I fell in love with Isabella, our badass girl🔥 Looking forward to the next book very much!
