Steve Savage and his team have been hired to track down a gang who've been committing a series of brazen bank robberies throughout the West.
The chase leads them to the town of Brimstone, New Mexico. While surveilling the bank, they spot a mysterious beauty who may be more than she seems to be at first glance. Her skills with a knife and her presence near the bank would appear to indicate so, and Steve is immediately suspicious. Chen is tasked with tailing her and he's soon up to his ears in trouble.
With time running out before the next heist, Steve and his team are forced to turn to an unlikely ally for assistance. Grab the next exciting adventure in the Steve Savage, Bounty Hunter series and saddle up for action!
I see a few 1 star ratings in the list below and I'm gobsmacked. I really enjoyed the latest Steve Savage adventure. I guess we all have different tastes though, and each to their own.
This book started off with a bang with Steve facing off against a killer from the word go. The plot moved on quickly, with action at every turn. I really enjoyed the characters and the way that Smith builds the plot up to a crescendo and then let's all hell break loose in a maelstrom of flying fists, feet, and bullets.
I think his writing has improved from the first books in the series and I'm looking forward to the next adventures in this book, as well as reading the Jim Taylor, Mountain Man series. Not long before a lot of these books end up in the top 100. I hope we'll be enjoying his books for years to come.
This was another great addition to the Steve Savage series. I really enjoy the action and excitement, and Chris Smith has done a great job of growing the characters and creating the feeling that I'm right there with the characters.
I expected to see more about Sheridan, but it was interesting to see that Smith took the book in another direction, with a stand-alone story. Another brilliant book, and the introduction of Shannan Browne, the badass Pinkerton detective, was great. I hope to see more of her in the future.
I would love to see this as a series on Netflix. I can see it as a TV show full of explosions and action, with a very diverse cast.
Well, this book goes in a new direction. Steve and the team help a female, kungfu Pinkerton agent catch a ruthless gang of bank robbers. Hope another book is coming with the team finding Sheridan.
Didn’t mention if they retrieved any of the Baker’s bank money. Just need to tie up loose ends. Great read though as with all the Savage books. I love the way you write, Chris Smith!
