Merlin was heartbroken after the death of King Arthur Pendragon because he felt that he had failed in his quest to protect the King. He stayed in the wooden cottage for months away from everyone as punishment until Kilgharrah (the old dragon) told him about new events at Camelot. According to legend, King Arthur's spirit could not enter the spirit world because someone had to fill a debt and by dark magical powers Dochraid brought Morgana Pendragon to life in human form the same way she did to Sir Lancelot. Morgana Pendragon wages series of endless battles after discovering that King Arthur was reborn into the Pendragon family as the baby King. Could Merlin remain the undefeated force preventing Morgana Pendragon from achieving her desires this time? Even though Morgana Pendragon failed the last time; she cannot fail again this time because she remains the ever sorceress to have resurrected from the dead in human form.
This book is garbage. I bought this, excited on reading a sequel to one of my favourite TV shows and was highly disappointed.
The writing is awful, there are grammatical and spelling errors. The writing was too immature/simplistic and the concept of Arthur coming back as Guinevere's son is so wrong, imagine your husband coming back as your child.
Throughout the book the author referred to Gwen as "Queen Gwen Pendragon" which I highly disliked, "Queen" is a formal title "Gwen" is Guinevere's nickname, if he had referred to Gwen as "Queen Guinevere Pendragon" it would've been much better.
I am very happy this plot was never a part of the show.
