When she was in high school, Emilia Emerson was voted Most Likely to Doubt Love. With her history, is it any wonder?
As a childhood beauty queen, she grew up being made to believe she’s nothing more than a pretty face. First, by her own mother and then by the men Emilia dates.
Now at a crossroads, she swears off dating to focus on herself. Enter ‘hunky mover and packer’ Cam Rockford. Emilia is shocked when she feels like he sees past her surface beauty to the funny, loyal and intelligent woman she is.
But just when Emilia is starting to believe the impossible, that Cam’s vision of her is real, it all comes crashing down. Maybe everyone was right. Maybe she is just a pretty face.
Can Emilia trust enough to move past the scars of her childhood and give love with Cam a chance?
Author's Note ~ "Most Likely to... Doubt Love" is a steamy, instalove, short romance read.
Emilia is someone whose beauty queen past has actually been a sort of curse, causing her to doubt herself and doubt others who show an interest in her. She defines herself by her pretty face, thinking no one can see beyond that to what lies underneath.
When Emilia met Cam, who was doing some moving for her cousin, she figured he was just like everyone else. She refused his request for a date. But he never gave up on her. Through his patience and persistence, she finally showed up for dinner with him and they got to know each other. Will she give him a chance to prove that he truly does see the real person she is? Will she allow a relationship between them?
Mary Waterford has written a 5-star book. This is the story of Emilia and Cameron. Emilia meets Cameron when he comes to move her cousin Mia. She is not wanting to date since all everyone wants is to be seen with her because of her looks. Cameron tries to get Emilia to go out with him but she tells him she is not dating. Emilia works for Mia and she sees Cameron when he comes in for an appointment with Mia. Emilia ends up helping Cameron when he has to measure to bring in the new desk and chairs she has ordered. Mia wants to talk to Emilia and after the talk, she goes to help Cameron. Emilia tells Cameron something about Mia and her boyfriend Jack and Cameron tells her that she is amazing. She tells him that it helps that she is gorgeous. Cameron tells her that it is not it. Yeah, she looks good but it is more, She is funny, intelligent, loyal.” Emilia tells him that she is sorry and thanks him. Cameron asked her if she would like to go out and get dinner, she tells him that she is not dating right then. He tells her where he is going to be that Saturday night and it would be just two people having dinner together. Emilia thinks a lot about going and decides to go. Cameron is surprised when she shows up. They have a good time just talking about different things. They stay until the restaurant closes down for the night. Emilia is having a night out with her friends and they end up talking about her now dating Cameron. Cameron finds out from his dad that the company has been nominated for some national business award. He asked Emilia to go with him as his date. She agrees to go with him. Emilia and Cameron start dating and she feels like he sees more of her than just her looks. He gets her on a deeper level and understands her. Will Emilia and Cameron make a real go of their relationship? This was a wonderful book and I would recommend it to anyone.

Wow, such a great follow on from the first book in the series. I love the friendships between the 8 girls and hope that they all get their own books. Now to the hero. What can I say? Cam, what a hottie. I love the way he was so patient with Emilia, building her trust and seeing beyond her looks. Can't wait for the next book, which I'm hoping will be Annie.
Such a good, quick fix! I love how Cam is so persistent at pulling away those layers (emotionally and also literally... hoo boy, this book is hot). I read this in two hours this morning, which is what it was designed for and it was just the perfect romance fix. Third person PoV, Mary Waterford doing it again <3
This was a great follow up to the first book. I was intrigued by Emilia's beauty queen background and how she was made to feel that her looks were all that mattered. Cam seeing past that to the woman beneath was really sweet. I'm really looking forward to the next in the series.
I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of this book. I’d never read any of this author before but this book drew me right in from page one. Emilia and her friends capture everything that is great about female friendship, and I’m hoping each individual gets her own story ( pretty safe guess given the epilogue in this one!!).
Cameron is a lovely character and I loved how they got to know each other on a non date. The Corvette scene - phew such a fantasy.
I am definitely going to read the first book in the series, how did I miss that? And will be looking out for the next instalment.
If you have a couple of hours to spare and love romantic fiction, try this out.

Emillia was someone to see her for more than just her face. When she was rejected after she applied to art school, Emilia's self-confidence took a hit. Cameron was working a job, when he meets Emilia, there was something about her that made him stop.
This is a fast-paced story that will steal your heart. Cameron is a strong loving man that is nothing but supportive. Emilia struggles with her feeling and is forced to see what could be.
Great story.

Most Likely to...Doubt Love Book 2 of Esperance: The Yearbook Series 2 Mary Waterford
The story and characters, Emilia and Cameron, are wonderfully written. Emilia has inner struggles and has to overcome them. I love the chemistry and journey these characters travel. Great read.

I came across this book and I read it on a whim. I enjoyed it had a really good flow to it. I enjoyed the fact that your FMC had an abusive history and she used that history to help the MMC and his daughters and their mother to understand the fact that they were having on the children. I liked the next-door neighbor aspect of it, and that she was helping him out with the girls on occasionally and suddenly he needs a babysitter and she stepped in. I like that she was an artist as well and that she was able to bring that sort of creativity to the girls lives. All around I thought it was a sweet story with some darker themes yes, but it tucked at my heart strings.
