Phenomenal Details and Great Recipes: The Best Theme Park Food Guide I've Read but Hoping for a Newer Edition Soon!
Fantastic Eats and Where to Find Them at Universal Orlando 2022 is a stellar guide. This is exactly what I expect when a guidebook is focused on one topic: details. She provides menus, prices, and detailed descriptions, but she goes well beyond that. She breaks down the restaurants and then analyzes them even further.
The only issue is the timeline of its publication. The book is great, but it was written when VelociCoaster was still under construction. So while it is not completely out of date, it is missing a lot of the newer restaurants. This worked perfectly for me since it was the CityWalk and Universal Studios restaurants I was trying to decide between. However, reading the intricate details she put into these locations had me longing for a similar guide for Epic Universe. She needs to write an update ASAP!
This is the best theme park food guide I have ever read, and I read two on the history of Disney dining just this year. She also includes recipes, and each one has a YouTube video attached in addition to the written instructions so you can watch her in action.
Recommend to others: Absolutely! Despite the prices and menus being a few years old, this is still an extremely useful guide.

Bice features Northern Italian cuisine at this premier restaurant located in Loews Portofino Bay Resort, the most elegant of all onsite hotels. At Bice’, service is superb, the pasta is made fresh daily, the veal is pounded as thin as paper and the desserts are delightful.

The following are my picks for the best bets for fantastic eats at each theme park, Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, Volcano Bay Water Park and CityWalk. Guests opinions tend to vary wildly according to taste, experience and background. I have based these picks on guests opinions, polling, and my personal opinions.
Loaded Jacket Potato London Taxi Hut across from the entrance to Diagon Alley. This is what Americans would call a baked potato, large in size and topped with bacon bits, cheddar cheese, sour cream with butter on the side.
If you love sweet confections, Universal Orlando is a great place to visit. Often, the longest food lines are for the delectable sweet treats which are offered all over the parks. If you need an excuse to justify or satisfy your sweet cravings, here are four great reasons to indulge in fantastic sweets:
1. You have probably walked ten miles in one day, so you’ve earned it!
2. The sweets offered here are amazing!
3. You are on vacation, so go for it!
4. Who really needs a reason!
