Born and raised in Tampa FL, now residing in Nashville TN, (Steven Tobi) is best known as founding member and lead guitarist for the Alternative Rock group “The Nearly Deads”. While the band, musical side projects (TØBI) and composing for films (Fatherless, Virtually in Love, Eat Your Heart Out) make up the bulk of his credits, his passion for the creative arts spans to every corner of the field. Working with several up and coming directors in the independent film industry, he was encouraged to exercise his creativity by writing screen plays of his own. It was this new endeavor, unexpected life events and his love of science fiction and horror that inspired the creation of his debut novella (The Broken Man)

Great Debut

Debut author which I intend to keep a close eye on. This short story was well written, interesting and had just the right amount of suspense and spooky horror. If you enjoy authors like Stephen King, Dean Koontz, Blake Crouch, etc, then you probably would enjoy this.

I had the privilege of being an advance reader for this book and I'm so happy it's out in the world now.

This single session read is perfect for when you just need a little spook with your cup of coffee. Tobi's passion and creativity make for a fun read with strong character voices and a few subverted expectations.

Definitely for fans of The Babadook, The Haunting of Bly Manor, and/or Edgar Allan Poe's short stories.
